I learned to shoot handguns as a kid with the P229 and P226... It has ruined shooting just about any other handgun for me. My mother carried them as a cop and then I carried it doing power plant security and it's my primary HD gun. However many thousands of rounds and been trucking along.
I got a 87 W.German, a 95German, and Legion. The best part of the Legion are the G10 grips. I won’t sell any of them, but the Legion is my least favorite
Horse traded for a Baby Browning over the weekend. It hurt, only gun I've traded that stung a bit. It may come back home.... Thanks for the view my man, UGD
Great video. Interestingly, I just traded my newish American made p220 for a 1996 West German one. Might not have done it if my modern pistol was a legion model though.
I now have seven West German Sigs and I can absolutely tell you I would NEVER get rid of a West German Sig ! That would be sacrilege. I’m sorry to have to tell you this but your Legion will never be the highly collectible highly sought after goodness that West German P226 was. But hey, it’s what you wanted so someone got an excellent very collectible never to ever be made again West German work of art that will only appreciate in value. I won’t ever sell mine and would never entertain that sickening thought. Enjoy the Legion…..
After unification, West Germany was allowed to mark Made in West Germany so the buyers would know it was not from East Germany. An issue with the better quality of the West, did not want to be confused with the crap from the communist east manufacturing. UGD
Keep the W. German Sig. I've been there, had a P226 Legion. Trust me, you will regret getting rid of you W. German Sig. If you need to thin the herd. Get rid of something else.

SELL a gun?! I would keep the West German one, solid history there.
You're killing me, I shouldn't have sold it. Legion better live up! Thanks for the view my man, UGD
I'd sell a kidney before any of my firearms ... :)
I got one too...three months ago.
West German sig is much more desirable amongst collectors, legion is sick, but I would’ve kept both lol
Love the West German, I do like more. I can buy a Legion anytime. Thanks for the view, UGD
Im all for vintage! U can get a legion any day.
I sold my newer 2009 made P226 when I came across a a 1994 production West German P226 9mm. Best decision ever and more collector value.
Has a different feel, love the old Sigs, UGD

My "if you can only have one" Gun. 226 is a great starter gun for a new shooter in 9mm. Mother and a Sig, that is super cool, UGD
West German is getting very hard to find, Legions are plentiful. Keep it!!!

Never sell an old better made German sig for common made USA sig 😩
Great video. Interestingly, I just traded my newish American made p220 for a 1996 West German one. Might not have done it if my modern pistol was a legion model though.

What a great gun!
Awesome! Love my '95 W. Germany P226 AND my Elite Stainless!
I have yet to see a bad Sig. Last week a damn Sig P210 gave me a little Slide Bite, but I still love her. UGD
Lol I sold a new 686+ 3in for mine and I'll tell you I couldn't be happier. I can always get another 686
Getting rid of a legit West German for a cheap, long external extractored, alloy framed legion? Yikes.
It's what happened, West German goodness. UGD
They're both aluminum alloy frames. But, yeah, that long external extractor is ugly!

I just bought the Sig P226 W Germany paid $550 for it. Came with 4 magazines.

how come a '93 model could be West German? maybe the parts were leftovers from pre-unification?

I wouldn’t of done that, Legions aren’t that great!

I do regret it... Sub made an offer and I should have never took it. UGD
