My first Finance related book was The Simple Path to Wealth, this opened my eyes to index funds and gave me hope for the future.
Also the US related references are fine because here in the UK we have our own equivalence’s.

I have read the first two books and can also recommend both. The Psychology of Money sounds very interesting, that is is a book I will definitely read soon.

How comes no traditional books like intelligent investor or one up on wall Street etc? Or is the focus more generic approach rather than deep dive to stock?
Exactly that is focussed on entry level ones here that are broader 👍👍
I read two books in the 90s - rich dad, poor dad and the motley Fool. After that I was both equipped and inspired to start investing. As a result, in my mid 50s, I don't need to work any more to fund my lifestyle.
It really does work, as long as you actually start, keep things simple, stay consistent and wait 25 years or so (it soon comes around, don't worry ..).
Yes, I also regret not starting earlier. I dabbled when I was 28 but didn't start my main plan until 30.
I need to read motley fool. Im familiar with the website but not the book
@@abdulrahman31350 they probably have a ton of books now. But to be honest, if you listen to the podcast every day, it covers the same things as the book really.
@@abdulrahman31350 oh and as a bonus feature .. I think Morgan Housel works there as he's often on the podcast (author of one of Toby's recommendations)
