You made a huge mistake "IGM" is not a "partner" of BBS it is a labour union of the metal workers in germany. IGM Means "Industriegewerkschaft Metall" (Industry Labour Union Metal).
BBS are timeless, no BS and super solid. Design trends come and go, but a set of LMs will always look solid and clean AF.
I agree 100 percent....they're just not AFFORDABLE! With a gazillion things you can do for your car, cash must be distributed prudently. Love em' though.

I've bought a ton of BBS wheels over the last 30 years, and the quality, balance and finish are always top notch. There's a reason why Porsche has used them on virtually every racing car they've made for decades.

They should have updated the design to out sell the bootleggers, or go into full marketing mode and let people know they were the originals. Business is war.
I kinda doubt this. People who would buy BBS replica would never pay the price of the real thing, and people who can afford or who know the value of the real thing would not be caught dead with a replica.

IGM (Interessen Gemeinschaft Metall) is not and never was a partner of BBS or any company. Its a labour union of metal workers which most employees of large metal processing companies (Mercedes Benz, Thyssen Krupp, BMW etc) are part of. They negotiate collective barganing agreements with the CEO's of the metal industry. But they dont invest in any company.

Incorrect. Forged BBS are made in Japan. Classic BBS wheels like the LM, Super RS, LM-R, RS-GT and RG-R are all made in Japan.

Exactly! BBS's just wants to keep that classic look, they have also made wheels that aren't the weave design. So they definitely have expanded they're horizon.
The best BBS wheel is the E50 that can be found in most 1970s German GT racers. Also it spawned their RS and SSR Formula Mesh

I bought the low end BBS model CF, for $750, and I am very satisfied. In East-Europe we dont have pot holes, we have volcanic craters on roads, and my wheels are almost like new after 6 years. I ran over few craters and I taught that my wheel has detached, but everyting was good.
I was holiday in germany, and I went past the BBS factory. It made me happy
But you’ll always know when someone has a set of BBS, and that’s a good thing.
My 25th Anniversary Cougar had 15" BBS wheels like many Lincolns during that period. I loved that car!

Two additions to your video, in the beginning they haven't had a production facility and used Mahle for forging and producing their wheels. Their magnesium wheels were produced by Mahle until late 90s.
Additionally IGM is the labour Union and not an investor, they are all scumbags and probably caused the bankruptcy by pushing the salaries to an insane amount.
had a set on an 03 WRX and it was sick. Got a lot of looks and comments on the rims all the time. Anyone who knew what they were just stared.

I went to the BBS factory on a Saturday morning and there wasn’t a soul around but you could drive around the back of the building for some reason and see big racks full of wheel blanks.
people going for looks goes for any other brand, people that occasionaly takes their car on a track and want an actuall performance rather than looks goes for BBS

I’ve the best of all BBS for my car, the 2-pc RS-II with the faux centre lock cap that mimics BBS racing centre lock wheel. This also hides the lug bolts which gives a nice clean appearance. Also, the first BBS to feature hidden ugly tire valve stem.
