2L bottle of regular coke is ~800 calories. When he made life changes, he "reduced" this to only 2 bottles which is 1600kcal of pure fructose syrup. So before the intervention, he drank ~3000 calories of soda. Since he was not morbidly obese, it means he didn't take a lot of calories from other sources, so he literally starved his organism from micronutrients.

last year I was send to the ER by my regular physician - when the ER asked me what the problem might be I could only give very vague answers and point them to the paperwork the family doctor handed me.
Communication and explanation is a real problem and I believe the issue is that the doctors are just hopelessly overworked and somehow have to manage the patient flow.

From my experience, the distrust of doctors for me is why I do my own analysis. I had a pain that was irregular for my age, I told them where that pain was and when it occurred. They told my parents it was my gal bladder. I didn't trust them, years later after a few pains, I decided to figure out this problem. Instead of wasting money for experts, I did my own research for free. I came to the conclusion, it was inflammation in my pancreas. Knowing the doctors would prescribe terrible medicines, I instead figured out what was causing these inflammations.
It started in my teenage years from eating junk food, I stopped eating that junk food.
I stopped drinking those drinks that had those chemicals that inflammated my pancreas. In the mornings rarely it happens, I don't yet know why it happens.
Eating healthy, like fruits and veggies and drinking water dosent cause it. I don't drink sodas or eat too much junk.
Considering the doctors gave me adhd medicine when I was very young, and it screwed me up, I never trusted doctors or nurses, and I still don't.
I don't want to pay a huge hospital bill either.
Unless the situation is an actual emergency, I don't see myself going to the hospital or clinic willingly.

I didn't know what it was, I just peed blood red and went to the hospital. I got a scan, the doctor showed me every layer of my body in HD and pointed at a white dot in one kidney. It was tiny. Total cost of the visit was $100. I'm really, really glad it happened in Japan.

@@lostsouldieryeah, once I heard this I really started forcing myself to drink water, even when I'm not thirsty. I always knew I was dehydrated I sweat a lot, used to drink equal amounts soda and water, my piss was never light but was usually deeper yellow, etc etc. I dislike drinking anything if I'm not thirsty, so it's quite uncomfortable for me to properly stay hydrated, but once I started drinking enough water that I was never actually thirsty, so many things changed:
My hair and skin got better. Less oily, less acne, less rough/dry skin on my elbows and legs. My lips stopped needing chapstick (I live in Virginia, it's always humid here so I never should have needed it but if you live in a dry place this may not apply to you) and my eyes stopped feeling dry, my mouth stopped getting dry and my throat stopped feeling dry and scratchy for no reason even when I wasn't sick. I stopped getting bruises as easily. Random headaches went away almost entirely, now I only get them when I'm sick and, you guessed it, water is the answer then too.
There are really so many benefits to simply staying hydrated. But if you fill yourself up to the point where you're not thirsty with anything other than water, it becomes difficult to ever drink enough water (at least for me) because forcing more liquid into my stomach will make me feel sick, even if that liquid is just water. So at this point all I drink is pure water, and vodka mixed drinks occasionally. Vodka instead of beer so I don't need to drink 6 cans of liquid to feel an effect from it, and I still have room in my stomach to drink the proper amount of water. I figured out how to stay hydrated at age 19, and didn't start drinking alcohol until 21. I've gotten pretty fuckin drunk before, I've polished off half a handle in one evening and I used to drink two 4 looks every night for a few years. That sounds absolutely terrible, and the 4 looks especially WERE terrible, but I've been drinking like that for almost 10 years and I've only ever gotten 1 hangover, which came from us drinking on the river in the sun starting at 9 am and we ran out of water. The hangover began the same day, but went away when we got more water and I woke up perfectly fine the next morning.
Water really does keep us in good condition if we drink enough of it that we never feel thirsty

This means that over time Caffeine becomes less effective (and you become resistant to it, so what Asmos says at 26:22 that he feel immune is explaned by this, even tho you cant get a 100% immunity but a high resistance) , however this reversible, if you stop drinking Caffeine you at first get sleepy faster (because you now have more sensors => you gain Stacks faster) but with time the aditional sensor will get removes until you go where you where befor initial Caffeine consumtion.

For me, it's not different than drinking water.

The statement "8 bottles of water is normal" ( 16:02 ) depends on the size of the bottle. but if you have the standard ~17 fuild Ounce bottles, its around 7.3 bottles.
recommended water intake is around 3.7 liters per day (~125 fluid ounces) BUT NOTE that im pretty sure this also include water that you get from food/etc.

Don't ever drink 4 liters of water a day. Your kidneys will hate you for that. Nevermind the type of water you drink.

The 8 8-oz glasses of water a day thing is, for lack of a better term, a myth. It's based on 'junk' studies, probably funded by water companies when they realized they could sell you bottled water to increase profits for basically something they could produce for pennies. It's like candy companies saying dark chocolate is good for you because it has antioxidants, so eat more chocolate. Smh. A healthy body has an amazing way to let you know when to drink water. It's called being thirsty.

Emu's video rings almost true to what i did a few years ago, drank like 3/5 cans a day, then at some point i would get very loose stools, accompanied by a stomach ache, naturally i stop drinking soda for at least 2 days or so, while drinking something else in that time like water.
Present day i drink alot more water but not close to the daily needed amount
(5 to 7 16 oz bottles) I don't drink soda as much as i used to as i don't buy the 24 can containers anymore, but only go to the local fast food joint and get a large size, in a sense i suppose i'm limiting my self in a way.
But now knowing that excessive sugar intake damages nerves and so on, it rings a bell on why sometimes my legs just give out and i tend to trip while walking, and the legs feeling weak, I also have nerve damage from birth called cerebral palsy, it's a weakness in limbs/nerves, now watching this video made me realize i'm killing my self, albeit very slowly.
There were times i had heart palpitations, body obviously telling my something obvious to cut back on the soda.
It's crazy how i saw my self being "Hosted" in that video, it was like a swift realization.
I was like: "Oh shit, that's me."
    Going off tangent here:
In regards to the workout regimen, i presume you have a fast metabolism, otherwise drinking soda and eating any kind of fast food or not a healthy diet will net you quite a bit of fat.
I'm kind of in the same way, i don't really workout, i consume probably an unhealthy amount of fast food, and i can eat ONLY pizza for 1 week but still skinny as a twig.
I'd have to eat til i get sick to even gain weight.
Last i tried an honest "food buff" to gain weight, it was exhausting as hell, eating like a litteral horse in the morning, when lunch came around, i wasn't even hungry but i still had to stuff my self.
Just doing that got me 10 kilograms in like 2 weeks or so. It was like a losing war effort.

Increase meat and get on a universal supplement (AG1, Onnit, etc), take probiotics (Thrive, Onnit), and go on walks every day. Don't eat anything processed (you can have one or two cheat days a week while getting started).
Skinny people think they can separate exercise from diet because their not fat, but your metabolism varies based off activity. You will not replenish deficiencies if you don't change behavior in conjunction with diet. You also won't feel as hungery without burning some calories. Even if you're not working out, you MUST decrease sedentary behavior and make room in your schedule for more activity. This is why walks are underrated.
The most important thing is consistency. Make small changes and keep up with them for at least 3 months before adding the next step. It's hard to change habits, but once normalized, everything is infinitely better.

My dad was diabetic and he constantly needed to drink something, mostly alcohol to starve off the shakes. I saw him go into a diabetic stroke once, his tongue swelled up in his mouth if I didn't find him he would have gone into a coma. My dad was rail thin his whole life I'm pretty sure he got diabetes from drinking so much southern comfort

If you can quit then that's perfect but if the craving for sugar becomes a lot then have some fruit instead of liquid candy. The fiber of a fruit slows down the conversion into blood sugar so you don't get the same big spike of blood sugar as drinking soda.

One doctor obviously cannot get only far out cases, there's no real Dr. House.
