Be aware that resting at a campsite does not save your progress and the reload from last inn save only works for Inns..
This is false. Resting at a campsite doesn't save to the inn save yes, but if you have a house it does. You need to sleep in a bed for it to save, since some missions you sleep save over inn rest.

I want dragons plauge to be adjusted and made more... I dunno interesting? meaningful? fun? Maybe once the plauge advances to the glowing eyes point, the Arisen can enter a pocket rift with their pawn and duel them to slay them so they respawn plague free as well. Rather than needing to find a brine to throw em in lol.

They were onto something really interesting with dragon plague, a surprise boss fight over a town nuke would have been much better.
Personally I think it should still happen within the town. Dragons plague should come with consequences, but curbable consequences depending on your ability to protect the villagers.
People really complaining about out the quest where you get your own house???…that was hella easy to do, i understand the rest but that mission in particular??, yall just being pathetic at this point smh

I have to agree with you about people being pathetic. Complaining about everything. There are some new monsters that wasn't in the first. I would rather have less variety and better quality. You don't have to spend real monies to change your character appearance. The micro transactions are optional. I have had zero problems with how it looks and it's not hard to manually delete a save. These people are just lazy and want to complain just because they can.

Im happy for the framerate options on console, I just wish people would judge the game based off of the gameplay instead of some useless microtransactions

This is where im wedged on this controversy. On one side, the microtransactions are so utterly redundant and negligible that you will immediately forget about when you are hours into the game so stop being so pressed about it. The other, it is a greedy practice by corporate suits to try and wring every single last cent out of the consumer even though (here in Australia) the game is over $100 for the standard edition and the fact im still getting pressed to spend money is egregious and insulting. It is a practice to never be promoted and should never inspire other developers to inherit this or even worse expand upon it.
And the funny thing is, all capcom games have micro transactions but only now people are outraged.

The hybrid vocation kind of is Asassin, magic knight/shield sage probably will come with future expansion.

Youre able to tun the rtx off in main menu mode and it does save some fps. I dont even use dlss and it works well. 3080 with 5800x3d.
This update basically clears my problems with the game. And as for the plague theres a easy solution to make sure it never happens, you simply just need to know it
even if it happens 7 ingame days and main story essential NPCs revive automatically.
It is not “impossible” to start a new game. You just have to manually delete your saved data in order to start one.
The house quests didn’t come too late imo. It came at a decently timed time lol
Anything for us who even at the lowest possible settings can play the game at more than 5 fps?
At least make it to where you fight or something during the pawns rampage so you have a chance of saving them. May a Boss health bar and once it runs out you have resummon your pawn

If you cap FPS at 30 but it still jumps from 10 to 20 to 30 wouldn't that still cause a jittering feeling, similar to 30 -40 -60 etc.
I wish they bring back all the skills and spells we had in the first game. Playing as a Sorcerer rn and I’m missing some awesome spells we had before like fire balls and poison clouds. I’m loving the game, but they cut so much and dumbed down so much of the systems it’s a real shame.
Not sure if im misunderstanding you or not but you're still going to only have 1 save slot, starting a new game is going to overwrite your old save file, like in dragons dogma: dark arisen

Only issues are left is that there are not enough enemies and the game is too freaking easy.
I'm not to the the end yet but I was also hoping it would get a little more challenging. I hope there's a hard mode or somthing
@@tony8076currently there is no hard mode. I'm in new game plus and the enemies are also still the same difficulty so it becomes even easier than it was previously as you're around level 30+ with good gear
I bet Dragonsplauge is the creation of that ancient beastren king, forget his name.
all you need to do to get rid of dragonsplague if one of the pawns in your party has it is to either just use a different pawn or if its your main pawn simply kill them and then resummon at a riftstone.
IF you really wanna play with that specific spawn that has dragonsplague but theyre not your main pawn just rest at campsites until the plague is transferred to your main pawn and then kill the main pawn.
also regarding nuked towns:
traders and non important NPCs will eventually be replaced (not sure about the exact time frame but i think its like a week in game time maybe?) so if its an area where youve already done all the quests you dont really need to revive anyone

You can create a new character by delete everywhere in the manage dragon's dogma 2 save data
It is not impossible tos tart a new game on pc, i have 3 characters, just open your user data folder in steam, just delete or move your save to another folder of you eant to save that character and boot the game and it starts at the beginning. Just make sure cloud save is turned off.
1:26 this is kind of erroneous; to start a fresh save on console, you delete your save data for the game. On pc, you have to do the same, but you have to manually open the DD2 folder and delete your save data - inconvenient, but not impossible (although I agree that there should be an option to do so on the main menu, like in dark arisen.)
Can you invert Y axis? On the demo character creation you can only invert X. Cheers.

What I want to know if are they gonna make the game harder? I don't think it gets more difficult in new game plus but I could be wrong. I was really hoping to get multiple hours out of this but after level 30, there feels like no point.

My issue with Dragons Plague is it feels like a feature that will just punish people in the first couple days after launch that were curious what would happen if they waited it out.
Afterward it’s just kind of a chore to watch out for it and kill your pawns before you can sleep in a town.
I personally thought my pawn would turn into a drake and I’d have to fight them but now all the quest npc’s in Vernworth are dead I just don’t feel like playing till I know for certain which ones won’t respawn and which one’s will so I can try to revive them all and try to complete every quest my first playthrough. Overall it just killed a lot of my excitement in an otherwise fun playthrough.
Its outrageously easy to spot dragon plague if you listen or pay attention at all to your pawns
@@cjloha91 You didn’t read my comment well did you… The issue isn’t with spotting it it’s the fact that if you are curious and wait the mechanic out in the first couple days after release before the wider community learns the consequences you are penalized potentially losing key story npc’s.
well... Devs said before release that dragonsplague will have heavy effects and consequences... kinda your own fault for allowing it to happen isn't it? And by the way story essential NPCs respawn automatically after 7 ingame days.@@obwolf
@@stonaraptor8196 They don’t respawn I’ve checked also the game should provide the information about its mechanics you should not have to seek external sources furthermore in game it only mentions calamity. Interesting fact the definition of calamity doesn’t specify death in any way.
@@obwolf Calamity doesn't by definition mean death, but it 120% implies it. Calamity is a word of power. If its being used to describe something unironically, it should be taken seriously.

save slot is the biggest wakestones are limited and if u fk in a quest or a whole town dies or failed quest u cant start over i like it

My theif pawn steals shard after shard. I have 30+ wakestones and never run short on shards.

Are you able to play this game? If you do not have access to Internet or will it just lock you out of the game?
It's not online only. But you can still only have one save active. To start a new save you have to delete your actual game save file from your computer/console. And playing offline just means you'll encounter the game's pawns instead of players pawns (to hire into your party) when exploring the world
You can play offline capcom has built in pawns in the game for those with no internet

There's a somewhat hard to obtain Vocation late in the game that let's you use a combination of weapons, skills and armor all at once. It's called Warfarer.

Ray tracing is an intrinsically CPU intensive process by design. The advent of the RTX series of cards allows for GPU to do ray tracing using PBR methods.

Dark Arisen is not the first game. The first game also get criticize by the lack of monster until the expansion DDDA.

It’s pretty much the same as base DD1, incomparable to Dark Arisen in terms of enemies.
For every new cool enemy we’ve also lost stuff.

what to do if my main pawn is plagued
dismiss temporary pawns, throw main pawn in water/off a cliff, let them perma die and resummon them
Throw it to the Brine (deep water) or get it killed in combat. Then, resurrect it in any Riftstone and you're good.

I recommend going for the alternative ending then , when your riding the final dragon go to its chest and use the blade you crafted

I’m playing on a ps5 with a lg c2 witch is 120hz tv with vrr enabled and I get 60-50 fps in the open world and I play every game on performance it’s not that bad and obviously the main town is still 40-20 fps

The only thing keeping me from this game is the frame rate problems. The microtransactions don’t bother me although I think it’s wrong to put them in a single player game unless it’s dlc stories like dawngaurd in Skyrim but seeing as they aren’t really necessary in dd2 it’s fine. Here’s hoping the ps5 frames get better and I’ll definitely buy the game and try it out.
There is nothing wrong with the framerate, put in 30 hours and you don't even think about it, don't notice anything, and don't have any issues.
Not any crashes.
No pop in.
No framerate drops.
Only issue is sometimes npcs take a second to load in.
@Zero-0-Cypher everyone has different specs duh. It also performs well on mid tier card 60fps++ (i have rtx 4070). But people with lower end specs might not have the same experience.
They could simply remove denuvo and give everyone +20 fps.
Dragons plague is grrat to get that trophy

You can start a new game on pc by turning cloud sync off in steam then deleting game save files. It’s a hassle but works. I’m not a fan of the dragons plague mechanic, stupid to have something that can ruin your entire game.
There’s a mod for it too
there are reports of people potentially not being able to play after doing this so many times

Hard mode and Speedrun mode were released about 7 months after the first game released. We'll more than likely get hard mode for the second game but I do hope it comes sooner.
Dragonsplague would be more fun if the npcs went hostile for a while instead of straight dying.
