Perhaps, for future sponsorships, you could get a manufacturer of double-edge razors or razor blades. That would seem to be a good fit with the whole quality-boot and -shoe thing you have going on with this channel, not to mention more sustainable than all the plastic on these multi-blade heads.
As a long time female subscriber, I was super excited to see this video. Hope you break down more womens shoes in the future, especially direct style comparisons.
It really feels like there's basically no content of this type or proper reviews for women's wear and god it fucking sucks, especially as someone with a bigger size since that makes it basically impossible to find any kind of selection to try on locally (41ish EU, about 11 US - and wide fit beyond that)
as a part of the 8% female viewing audience, I actually really appreciated this video lol! I bought a pair of red wings this summer but had to buy mens because they don't offer steel toe full-leather boots for women. hopefully someday they realize women need leather work boots too. great vid!!
Am a lady, but work in trades. I've had a terrible time finding half-decent women's boots with steel toes that will rock with me longer than 6mo. Last several years, I've been going with Caterpillar Revolvers and Timberland Pro Direct Attach, both in steel toe. I rotate the two pairs in respect to weather (the timberlands are waterproof). Though, I'm not afraid of getting the Cats wet. They've done well to keep my feet dry when weather catches me off guard. The Cats are great at the price point (~$100) until the plastic welt starts to crack (~1 year) but to be fair, I tend to kick things and have a habit of kicking to shed mud and dirt. They are comfortable right out of the box. The leather is surprisingly nice (full grain, pretty thick and gains a nice patina), too nice to toss on a plastic welt IMO. They tend to last me just shy of 2 years. However the last pair I bought as a replacement (summer 2022) didn't have the same quality- leather was thinner and looser in grain, these might last me a year or so. The leather is nice and I would resole, but the cost of resole with a new welt exceeds the cost of a new pair. The Timberlands, also pretty good at the price point (~$150). Comfortable right out of the box and lasts me about 2 years. Every new pair of Timberlands is identical to what I've known for years. Consistent, reliable. I have about a dozen pairs of red wings (men's and women's). The differences I noticed in construction are softer and thinner materials and the poron footbed in women's. The women's line is designed for quick accessibility over durability. And the reduced overall volume, even in equivalent lengths, is kind of a burden unless you have narrow to narrow-average feet and low to average arch. My feet are just under average width with a normal arch, and I had to work to make space in the women's boots, especially with my 3355 and 3404. And I would say that in my group of lady friends, I have the slightest length:volume ratio. My feet are almost dainty. I would pick a men's boot over a women's boot if given the option. There's some pain either way, and I'd rather lean towards durability.
As someone who doesn’t necessarily fit the female footwear demographic, I’d love to see more women’s footwear. If a company cuts corners on Women’s footwear, I feel like that’s a good indicator of a brand’s willingness to cut corners on the men’s line down the road. Says a lot about a brand even if I don’t buy this stuff.
@@RaisonLychi same time I think most stuff that is was never marketed as a female brand or “hobby”. Watches anything normal fashion shoes boots deodorant…. Goes on
This is great! As one of the small percentage of women viewers I have the hardest time finding well-made shoes in my size, especially with leather construction and made in the USA. I'd been looking at buying a pair of Red Wing boots (the Gracie model in specific) and this helps solidify my decision to save up for a pair.
I found I really like my oak tree farms boots if you’re looking for a quality statement boot! Although I really would love to see them split open to see if I’m right about them!
I'm so happy you're tackling women's boots too! The men's boot series are interesting but i can't really do anything with the knowledge from those. It would be interesting to find the worst offenders when comparing women's vs men's shoes!
I’ve been waiting for you to review these for so long! Currently wearing my year old Amber Clara’s. I’m a chemist who stands 8 hours a day in the lab, and unless I’m working with something really gross, I’m wearing my Clara’s. I like how comfortable they are and how easy they are to clean and oil up! Thanks for the video and please review more women’s boots!
Thanks for doing this break down on women's footware, if this video does well could please keep breaking down women's footware. Edit: Can you break down the women's line for Thursday Boots?
If I recall, only one of Thursday's women's boots is Goodyear welted (forgot which one) because during their focus group testing, the majority of women did not like having to break in boots.
I had the captain i think from Thursday boots, and they broke the first week i wore them. I definitely think they are made wors than the male counterpart.
I got a pair of the Chelsea Thursday boots in January of 2020 and I was so unbelievably disappointed in them. Worst quality boots I have ever spent more then $30 on. I really hope he does a pair of the thursdays. Because the ones I received shouldn’t have cost more then $50. That’s how terrible they were
Bought my wife a set of Redbacks on your recommendation, she can't live without them. More of these please, we all know women who suffer in uncomfortable, bad footwear.
Oh it's crazy how often women's shoes are just fast fashion trash with no real substance or quality. Thank you so much for finally reviewing women's shoes and I hope you continue to do so. You're so informative and knowledgable, and it would be great to see what you think about some of what's on the market, especially with women's boots. Not to mention so we can find some brands we know we can trust!
I'd love to see more Women's boots! Esp ones with a practical heel. It's always frustrating to look for womens size work boots and not being sure if they're up to the same standards, this video is much appreciated!
I'm part of the 8% of women that watch your videos and I would love some more women's boots videos. I bought some of the women redwing moc toe in the oro leather and would be interested to see how it compares to the men's version.
I’d like to see Rose Anvil review a pair of Adelante Boots to see how high quality the boots really are. It would be great to have Adelante send Wesley a pair of their boots to be examined and reviewed.
I hope you'll be featuring more women's boots/shoes in your future videos. Got some winter Kamiks for my gf and their soles feel really cold. At least, they were cheap. Thanks for the unique content.
This is a really good topic and seeing more women's boots cut open would be educational and interesting even if it doesn't directly relate to me :) (honestly, most of the boots you cut open don't relate much to me since I tend to go more military style -- but I use what I learn here to judge boots and shoes in general). Also, I kind of wonder how accurate that youtube gender thing really is, but I'm sure having some women's boot names in your titles will certainly get female eyes that are looking for information on boots they're thinking of buying.
Stephen, based on Rose Anvil’s segment on the jungle boot, I managed to find a pair of size 4 jungle boots with the larger lugs from an online army surplus outfit. I had to stretch the leather at the forefoot area to make them comfortable. Fashion wise, the jungle boots are strikingly distinct compared to the currently made Doc Marten boots. Whenever I wear my jungle boots, the boots get noticed by both women and guys: “Hey, those are cool boots. Where did you get them?” I think this shows that the classics stand out no matter what era of time it is.
Thanks so much for this! I’m a woman who watches your channel ALL the time… always wonder if the womens shoes/boots are made as well. I usually buy mens instead because I have usually found that womens stuff is made to be disposable. I can’t stand fast fashion. Plus, wow, that heel is way too high for me!
Happy to be among your 8% and to see women's footwear featured. Plenty of us want quality materials, craftsmanship, longevity, and value from our footwear. A good pair of boots is as indispensable and timeless as pearls or a black dress. Even a minimalist capsule wardrobe ought to have them. Well done, you, and here's hoping for more of this sort!
I'm one of the (apparently few) female subscribers to your channel and I'm so happy to see women's boots featured! I'm so tired of buying poorly made boots that fall apart and seeing this is really helpful for future purchases, so thank you. I really hope you'll cut apart more ladies boots.
I’m happy to see the examination of a women’s boot! My feet are slightly too small for most men’s brands, so it’s good to know which brands can be trusted! I look forward to seeing more!
Yes! So happy to see reviews on women's boots! Have sent a couple of emails requesting these types of videos after my husband started watching these videos. A lot of companies (even top ones) don't make women's shoes/boots the same as men's. I.e. welt, sole, leather, etc. Since there are not much for women, I have been looking into wearing men's boots...because they are made better. Most women don't worry about the quality, durability, material, types of welts, etc. But as someone who has bad feet from cheap/bad shoes, wearing heels, sandals with no soles, etc., I have to pay attention to what I am wearing. I don't mind paying more money these days, but also want to know I am ordering a quality product, that will last me for years...and might possibly have the option of being resoled. Keep the women's reviews coming!!! 😊
JoHanna, if you don't mind dealing direct with the makers, it's worth taking a look at the Grenson, Tricker's & Cheaney websites. All three have extensive womens ranges - admittedly, mostly cloning their mens ranges in a narrower fit, but they all have some specific women only styles. British made (mostly - Grenson has some made in India), mostly goodyear welted, so resoleable. Pricey, but not overpriced...
@@gchampi2 Hiya! Sorry for jumping into a comment meant for someone else, but as another lady who has focused on buying good-quality shoes for a while, I just wanted to say one thing. Women's feet are shorter than men's, but they're not proportionally narrower. Women's shoes are built on narrower lines due to aesthetic preferences that come to us through fashion history. Because of this, many women wear much narrower shoes than they should and end up developing bunions and bone spurs in their middle age. It's not even that these women have statistically wide feet, it's that most womens shoes are made for narrow feet. Your average women's shoe is too narrow for your average woman to wear comfortably. Most of us get used to the discomfort in childhood and either don't notice it as adults or assume that's what shoes SHOULD feel like. I find that pretty sad. And it's especially sad that Red Wing have made this mistake too, making their women's line proportionally narrower than their men's! That being said, I'm pretty sure the British brands you mentioned are much better. I can't speak for all of them, but I know Solovair use the same lasts for their men's and women's shoes. I loved my pair, they were good friends to me for over a decade. I've heard that British-made or British-designed women's shoes tend to be less narrow. My Penelope Chilvers shoes are really quite comfortable, for example. They're made in Portugal, but designed here. Though not British, Adelante seems to be a fantastic option for women. They have a partially-MTO system and offer many widths and styles. My next shoes will probably be from them.
Finally some women’s boots. My girlfriend will be happy to see this. Heck, even I am, as I’m always trying to convince her to buy nice boots. Would love to see some more women’s boots, maybe Nicks?
Thank you so much for FINALLY covering Womens boots!!! I’ve been watching you guys for a while and was so excited to see this. I’m shopping for women’s work and hiking boots and this is really helpful
These kinds of videos are SO helpful!!! I know there aren't many women in your audience, but lots of us really do care about the quality of our shoes while still wanting to look feminine. I'm a sucker for boots, but most womens shoes are poor quality and I'm sick of wasting money on crappy shoes. It's great to know what boots are actually worth saving up for!!
My wife has a pair of Red Wing Harriett (same boot but in a Chelsea style), Truman's (I dont think Truman makes them anymore), Frye's, and several pairs of Carmina boots. Truman's are built exactly the same as men's. Thick leather mid sole, Heavy, Heritage. Her Red Wings seem to be not nearly as high quality as the Truman's but still pretty good. I prefer the Truman's, she prefers the Red Wings due to comfort. Her Frye boots seem too fashion forward even their Goodyear welted line. But the real rockstar are the Carmina's. She loves those things and they are super high quality shoes. They are comfortable but still seem to use less synthetics as the Red Wings. Carmina definitely uses thinner leather uppers. They are far less heritage but still have a lot of very classic silhouettes and goodyear and blake stitch. Would love to see you review more women's footwear!
@@jake2011rt True but at the end of the day the question is whether the quality of materials and construction and Carmina's women's line beats Red Wing's hands down
I'd really love to see a comparison of the red wing blacksmiths vs silversmiths (and blacksmiths vs iron rangers). I'm a woman with feet a bit on the wider side, and I often gravitate towards men's boots if they carry them in my size (7.5 women). It's difficult to find quality women's boots in general, so reviewing brands that carry both men's and women's or at least a wide range of sizes in men's is extremely helpful.
Love this. I am female and I love Goodyear welted leather shoes and I enjoy doing the leather maintenance necessary. There’s something poetic about taking care of the shoes so the shoes take care of you. Women’s boots are often too narrow for my feet but often the smallest men’s shoes size (men’s 7) is still a little big for my feet. Maybe I’ll just a custom made bespoke pair I design myself if I ever get the money for it. For now I think I’ll just stick to men’s boots that carry a size 6. I actually own a pair of Red Wing ice cutters. They’re a winter shoe so the thick wool socks I wear fills them out. Absolutely love them and wish they still made them so I can get them in maple.
Heya! I have similar needs and preferences to you, from the sound of it. I'm currently looking into buying my next boots from Adelante, they seem to operate on a partial MTO system and have quite a lot of gorgeous women's styles made with traditional construction. (I'm also looking at Bordon, they don't specifically market to women but their Chelsea boot has a lovely shape.) I hate how so many brands make women's shoes so narrow. Statistically, women's feet are smaller, but they aren't proportionally narrower than men's. The only reason women's shoes are made more narrow is aesthetics. We all be so much more comfortable if companies made their shoes to a slightly wider standard! Kinda breaks my heart that Red Wing's women's line falls under this too with their B width, my Red Wing 980s in men's D width (standard for men's shoes!) are the comfiest things I've ever put on my feet.
Looks like you have plenty of female subscribers who have thus far just been happy to see men’s footwear deconstructed but would love to see more women’s equivalents too. Count me in that group!
Hahah this is perfect timing. I am a big Red Wing fan and have convinced my Fiance to buy her first pair! Would love to see how the Womens Chelsea hold up.
Finally, women's boots! I was a subscriber when you first started cutting boots in half and wanted to see some comparisons like this. If these continue maybe I'll resubscribe.
I actually love this boot and would love for there to be a men's version with a lower dogger heel. The thick midsole, rugged half sole, and faux moc toe stitch make for a really nice pattern, sort of like a more rugged Alden Indy.
I love that you did women's shoes! And that Harry's is a sponsor because pink tax is a real thing on razors! I would love to see you do women's combat boots.
I just bought the Grant Stones! They should arrive tomorrow. The style is called Nora, and they look like a women’s version of the Diesel. Thanks for the tip on Parkhurst! They seem to have a women’s Chelsea boot available now.
@@nikamuckelroy9153 Odd I just got this notification 2 months after your reply. I ordered a pair of dune Noras for my wife and they are indeed excellent. Good to see they appear to be built just like the mens.
My wife asks me all the time if the nice leather shoes she buys have my “stamp of approval”, so I do think these are interesting. A lot of women’s shoes have heel stacks that look like leather, but I suspect a lot are fake
Thank you for breaking down women's boots! I'm a woman and I love traditional boots but it's so difficult to find good ones for women. I cringe when I see all the women's boots with laces and ZIPPERS.... I think Wolverine does 1000 miles for women but I've always wondered if they're built the same as the men's, I'd love to see a breakdown of those if possible.
This is excellent, my wife always struggles to find shoes that aren't made of garbage material and she has always loved her Red Wings. Glad to see that they are well made.
My husband bought the Clara’s for me for my birthday this year! We have a store near us. I was able to try several styles and sizes. The customer service was exceptional. The sales rep seemed very knowledgeable about the construction too. His wife has Claras and he was able to discuss how they wear too. They don’t have wide sizes listed online but the store was able to order a wide size for me. I got a pair of insoles with them and it made a big difference. I really like them but I do not wear them neatly as often as my husband wears his. They’re great walking boots but not great for sitting at a desk 😂
I’m part of your female audience and I’m glad you decided to tackle a womens boot! I have a pair of Red Wing mocs. They were my first ‘investment’ shoe and I’m so glad I got them
Thanks for doing something for women! I've tried to help a few women find good leather boots and it's really hard - women's clothing is overrun with fast fashion crap in a way that seems really frustrating. And if you keep featuring products for women, I suspect more of them will watch the channel. Funny how that works.
Not a woman, but have been curious about just what the differences were between men and women's shoes. I don't wear sneakers, but I watch those videos, too. This seems like a good service for half the human race!
OMG I've been a fan of your channel for a while, and as a woman who wears work boots, hell yes I'm interested in more disection of other women's boots. Plus it's interesting from a general boot perspective to see some of the differences from aesthetic, materials, comfort, etc. Thank you for your content over the years. It's been fantastic.
Hope you get around to comparing the men and women’s Iron Rangers. I was quite disappointed when I tried the women’s, but lucky for me they had a smaller pair of men’s that fit perfectly. (Although it took me ages to break in the way I wear’em). All in all they felt flimsier, the profile was more narrow and they were too dainty for me.
I had a women's pair for 3 months before they failed a the heel on both boots, but I'd be inclined to agree with your thoughts. I personally liked the lower profile toe and narrower fit (I seem to have really narrow feet). My mens pair feel a good bit more robust, and are definitely heavier. As well, I found it odd that the women's IR has a glued in foam insole rather than the leather footbed on the mens. Otherwise, they're probably the same, but I'm not convinced they're built quite as well as the men's ones, given mine failed to fast.
Yes!! The narrowness kills me every time. While women do tend to have much shorter feet, there's no evidence that our feet are proportionally narrower. The decision to make all women's shoes more narrow than a men's shoe of the same length would be is ridiculous. I wish Red Wing did their women's shoes in different widths... I'd buy Claras and Harriets in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, they only make them in a B width. Guess I'll keep saving up for Nicks. (Bordon's Chelsea boots are attractive too though, and I'm intrigued by Adelante's system.)
I'm glad to see you starting on some women's boots. My girlfriend bought Red Wing Eileens a couple years back. It was difficult to find much information on them, but the uppers looked nice and I already owned the Blacksmith's myself. Sad to see it's not quite up to the standard, but she loves the style and I'm just relieved it's (most likely since it seems to be the same construction) not a bad boot
Thanks! I have been looking for some properly welted boots for my wife for over a year. She actually doesn’t like the look of the women’s Red Wings so we are still on the hunt for something.
Thanks for checking out a woman’s boot. I wear boots for flying aeroplanes and have been let down a lot by boots designed for form over function. I needed something tough enough for walk-arounds in snow, standing water and de-icing fluid but also dressy enough to be worn with a uniform and supple enough to fly. I went with Ariat boots based on your reviews of the men’s boots, hoping that the women’s were of the same standard. So far, so good, one year in.
I'm a woman who is suscribed to your channel. I appreciate your review of a woman's boot. It seems like manufacturers make cheaper, less durable boots for women because they think we all want to look cute. I don't care about looking cute when I'm chopping through my jungle of a backyard. I want comfort, durability, and protection from water, snakes, thorns, and biting insects.
I never thought of it before, but I can imagine it is pretty hard for women to find high quality shoes as they are targeted even harder than men with the "fast fashion" stuff where you're expected to wear an item a few times & then trash it.
I'd love to see some more women's boots, not only, as you said, if I there's a pair I think my partner would like I but its important that a brand makes all of their products to the same standards (to their counterparts, I know brands can have multiple levels of quality) I also just find these videos fascinating from the technical side so it doesn't entirely matter what shoe is being cut for me. I've watched the yeezy videos and will never buy trainers in that style in my life, but was still interesting
Yesterday I got fitted and paid for a pair of women's Iron Rangers and I have to wait for the store to find the pair I want and get it shipped to them. When I got home, I immediately regretted buying them because women's products, in general, are crappier and more expensive versions of men's products. After watching this video, I don't think I will return them. Thanks!
Would love to see more women's boots! Your videos have given me a better eye for quality but being able to apply that to specific products would be very helpful
Thank you so much for this! It was fascinating. I'm kind of annoyed at the height of that heel so I won't be buying them any time soon but it was great to see this "women's" boot broken down and reviewed. If I need actual work boots I'll be buying a men's version, if I can find them small enough. Please review lots more women's boots, and also keep comparing them to men's versions if they exist. Thanks again!
I would love to see the other women’s Redwings. I have the heritage moc toe with the wedge sole. I love them. My go to dress shoes are The Office of Angela Scott. Probably not worth a review for you since they show a shoe cut in half on their website.
As a woman who is not young I really like those for the price. Definitely not work boots, but are stylish, can be worn in crappy weather and will last years. They toss all sorts of fashion to women, especially footwear, at insane prices. Comfort isn’t always key and the name means more. Those look comfortable.
I would love to see you do more women's boots. My wife really only buys sub $100 boots, and they last here two seasons at most, and I would love to know more about women's boots so I can get her a pair that will actually last.
Ugh womens footwear is why my foot gets super swollen and painful (and I’m still in my 20s). They make the toes super narrow and it’s really hard to find any exception to the shape. Would LOVE to see more womens footwear analysis!
@Aradoran anecdotally, most of us do just buy the mens workboots in the smaller sizes. Shoe width and ankle fit are some of the problems with that but you can kind of work around with a good sock strategy
Happy to see this. My theory had been that since our culture encourages women to consume more in the way of fashion items, and therefore turnover pieces faster, companies would design women's footwear to be cheaper and more consumable than men's, which would be a real injustice if true. Glad to see one data point that says this isn't necessarily the case, but eager to see more.
Weston, I think you can see from the comments that you have a real opportunity here. Well done on cutting open women's boots, hope to see more in the future
Man I hope you do more of these! It's definitely interesting to see the difference. I know one frustration I've heard with women's boots is how a lot of places you can't resole them or even just replace the heel.
My fiancée sat me down to watch this video and would love to see you cut apart the women's Iron Ranger next. She really wants a pair of Iron Rangers after I bought a pair, but cant find them in her size (men's equal to a Women's 7.5). She has been super on the fence about the women's Red Wing boots since she does wildfire burns and prairie restoration and NEEDS boots built as well as the men's are. This video shows that they are ALMOST as good as the men's, but don't quite meet the same construction standards. Seeing a video directly comparing the men's and women's Iron Ranger boots would be much appreciated by her.
Interesting! Always curious to see differences in what is sold to women vs men. Husband has a pair of Red Wings he wears constantly. He’s prone to pacing so other boots he’s had always wore out super quickly 😂
I'm a woman who tends to lean towards men boots, I can't wear heels, but I'm absolutely interested to see comparisons between boots marketed towards women and men. I love seeing these videos and learning about what makes a quality boot, and knowing I can make better informed choices in the future when buying boots for myself and my family.
YAY!! I'm so glad you did a women's boot! I didn't realize I was in the small majority of women who love your videos. Please do more. I will watch all of them! One question: the welt goes through the bottom of the shoe... would the stitches wear down and break?
Great video. A lot of us Red Wing fans were aware of the synthetics in the insole of the women's line, but it was extremely informative to see the cross section. I hope you do the 45 last 1907 or 8883. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the decorative storm welt.
8%-er here... Appreciate this video & would really love to see even more direct comparisons of women's ranges - I often wonder if the women's version of the same boot is built differently.
Thanks for the vid on the female style boots, I usually have to grab a male boot for my needs but am glad an option exists that is nearly as rugged as the male boots. It would be nice to see a female boot that didn't have the heel. Is the heel drastically higher than a cowboy style boot? I wouldn't think the construction of a cowboy boot would differ much from the female boot with heel. The most comfortable work boots I have ever wore were a par of wolverine boots I got about 4 years ago. Wish I could remember the style name. Most comfortable sneakers was a puma speedcat style shoe
HI! Love your review. I have these in the Oro Color. I bought them in July 2019 and it is now Oct. 2023. They are still gorgeous and I get a lot of compliments on them. They were very stiff to break in and definitely took time wearing them in short bursts until they felt soft and molded to ME. They are easy to wear with jeans or a dress or leggings. They seem to just look and feel cooler the more I wear them and break them in. They are the most expensive shoes I've ever bought. I only justified the price because it was my birthday LOL ! I'd love to get a black pair next just to have options. I love the lace up feature as I find that looks more ladylike than a tough chunky chelsea boot. The heel height is comfortable. I feel steady and stable in these and think they are fantastic. I've recommended them to my friends, and so far only one person was willing to spend for it. Most people I know don't want to spend that much on boots.
I'm gonna be honest, I found your channel looking for a replacement of my 10 year old boots from when I still worked EMS and stayed because shoes are way more interesting than I thought lol. I don't care if they're men's or women's boots I will still nod and say "yes yes of course I too am a leather expert"

Adelante Shoe Co has top quality women’s boots that doesn’t cut corners. Give them a look
HARRYS is woke garbage with their Marxist support. That company can suck it.
Evil company
Perhaps, for future sponsorships, you could get a manufacturer of double-edge razors or razor blades. That would seem to be a good fit with the whole quality-boot and -shoe thing you have going on with this channel, not to mention more sustainable than all the plastic on these multi-blade heads.
As a long time female subscriber, I was super excited to see this video. Hope you break down more womens shoes in the future, especially direct style comparisons.
Agree!
agree.. as I'm looking for my wife's boots
Yes, please do!
agree! also female subscriber, would love more women's content
I bought a pair of red wings this summer but had to buy mens because they don't offer steel toe full-leather boots for women. hopefully someday they realize women need leather work boots too. great vid!!
Same boat!
Agreed!! I would love to see best women's boots of the year
As someone who doesn’t necessarily fit the female footwear demographic, I’d love to see more women’s footwear. If a company cuts corners on Women’s footwear, I feel like that’s a good indicator of a brand’s willingness to cut corners on the men’s line down the road. Says a lot about a brand even if I don’t buy this stuff.
Agreee! Came to say this too
Yes! Been waiting to see this!
Jordan brand anything Nike offered in womens vs mens. You are so right. Less materials
Companies cut corners on alot of products aimed towards women. 🤔 It's wild.
Look at Adelante Shoe Co. top quality. My wife loves them
I often buy “boys” shoes for this exact reason. I’ve been looking at Thursdays but these might be a good option too
Grant Stone just released a womens line of boots btw.
There was a girl in my class who wore the female black iron rangers by red wing and she looked hot af
I found I really like my oak tree farms boots if you’re looking for a quality statement boot! Although I really would love to see them split open to see if I’m right about them!
I’m a woman and a fan of this channel for over a year! I enjoy shoe restoration/tearapart videos, because hand crafting is just very comforting for me
I'm so happy you're tackling women's boots too! The men's boot series are interesting but i can't really do anything with the knowledge from those. It would be interesting to find the worst offenders when comparing women's vs men's shoes!
Thank you so much for including women's boots in your reviews. Please do it more often.
Yes! I really want to know how the women’s diplomat and captain boots from Thursday stack up against the men’s
That’s how terrible they were
Yes I've been dying for these
Bought my wife a set of Redbacks on your recommendation, she can't live without them.
Awesome! I've been waiting to see women's shoes on here. I'd love to see if women's shoes are made to the same levels
Thank you for this, I'm glad you're making videos about women's boots as well.
Me too on all counts :)
Thanks for this! I'd love to see more of these looking at women's work boots, not just the ones with the stack heels like this.
I'm one of the (apparently few) female subscribers to your channel and I'm so happy to see women's boots featured! I'm so tired of buying poorly made boots that fall apart and seeing this is really helpful for future purchases, so thank you. I really hope you'll cut apart more ladies boots.
Mimi, hi! I’m also one of those few female subscribers. I want to know *exactly* what *my money* is paying for.
The soles on the ones above I feel like I would kill very fast. It's sucks the Clarias do t have decent counter covers .
Yay!! I really hope you make more videos dissecting women’s footwear.
If you want to upgraded her to top quality, look at Adelante Shoe Co.
Thank you for this. Definitely have to check out Carmina's now.
I would expect Carmina's leather to be thinner. They are a dress shoe company, not a heritage boot manufacturer.
Carmina Shoes seems to be one of the few companies that will use shell cordovan leather for a few of the women’s shoe models.
(I'm also looking at Bordon, they don't specifically market to women but their Chelsea boot has a lovely shape.)
I hate how so many brands make women's shoes so narrow.
Thank you for finally doing this. My Gf had some red wing moc toes and she loves them but it’s still important to see what’s inside, not just out.
Looks like you have plenty of female subscribers who have thus far just been happy to see men’s footwear deconstructed but would love to see more women’s equivalents too. Count me in that group!
So excited, please continue to do women’s shoes,
Hahah this is perfect timing.
Definitely wanna see you break down the women’s line of boots from Thursday Boot Company
I actually love this boot and would love for there to be a men's version with a lower dogger heel. The thick midsole, rugged half sole, and faux moc toe stitch make for a really nice pattern, sort of like a more rugged Alden Indy.
I would also love to see a lower heel version in these women’s boot myself.
@@CrossCultural-c7f for sure. The high heel looks nice but a lower heel would of course be more comfortable and utilitarian.
I’m a woman who watches this channel! Love the technical talk and I love learning so many ch about shoes! Hope for more content for me :)
I love that you did women's shoes! And that Harry's is a sponsor because pink tax is a real thing on razors! I would love to see you do women's combat boots.
Would love to see you continue with the womens lines. Grant Stone and Parkhurst have them coming and I can only imagine they will both be very nice.
Lol. Most womens shoes have fake heel stacks. Even fake cork (thin layer of cork and rubber glued on the outside or just plain plastic).
AmyX, I agree.
Would love to see more women’s boots and shoes covered here. The direct comparison is great!
This is excellent, my wife always struggles to find shoes that aren't made of garbage material and she has always loved her Red Wings. Glad to see that they are well made.
Yes keep doing the woman’s boots!
Definitely keep doing women's boot reviews.
I am really glad you are breaking down women's footwear.
@@poilaaliop I know it's been months but have you seen Grant Stone's womens boots? They just added some more options.
Oh, heck, yes. More women's boots and shoes!
Thanks! I have been looking for some properly welted boots for my wife for over a year. She actually doesn’t like the look of the women’s Red Wings so we are still on the hunt for something.
Thank you for doing this! I've been wondering if womens boots are lower quality, just like a lot of clothes are. Please do more!
PLEASE REVIEW MORE WOMENS BOOTS
Thank you for reviewing women's shoes! I hope to see more of these in future.
Excellent video, as always! And you did a mighty fine job modeling that boot. 😁
I like to think it’s still Weston wearing the women’s boots in the b-roll footage
Would love to see you do some popular ladies boots, such as Timberland, so that we know what we are buying for Christmas 👍😁
I am so excited to see a women’s boot breakdown! I would love to see more.
Very happy to see you review a women's boot. My wife deserves a quality boot and your channel is my go to for research. Please continue.
I never thought of it before, but I can imagine it is pretty hard for women to find high quality shoes as they are targeted even harder than men with the "fast fashion" stuff where you're expected to wear an item a few times & then trash it.
I'd love to see some more women's boots, not only, as you said, if I there's a pair I think my partner would like I but its important that a brand makes all of their products to the same standards (to their counterparts, I know brands can have multiple levels of quality)
I also just find these videos fascinating from the technical side so it doesn't entirely matter what shoe is being cut for me.
Thanks!
Thank you for doing a women's boot! I have been hoping for this. Would love to see a cross section of the Silversmiths.
Would love to see more women's boots! Your videos have given me a better eye for quality but being able to apply that to specific products would be very helpful
Yes do more lady boots! I’d love to see an iron ranger and Thursday Captain comparison!
Been waiting for this, maybe I can now convince my wife to get some quality boots!
omg please do more women's boots I'm always watching cus its so fun but if I could buy the products too omg yes
Asked my wife. She wants comfort now over break-in. It is marketed to womens wants, but maintaining pretty good quality.
Yeah I can imagine with the high heel the extra foam helps with pressure and comfort.
I would love to see you do more women's boots. My wife really only buys sub $100 boots, and they last here two seasons at most, and I would love to know more about women's boots so I can get her a pair that will actually last.
Thanks for doing a women's boot, would love more! I'd like to see the Redwing women's moc toe
Ugh womens footwear is why my foot gets super swollen and painful (and I’m still in my 20s). They make the toes super narrow and it’s really hard to find any exception to the shape. Would LOVE to see more womens footwear analysis!
Serious question: Can you buy smaller sizes in some mens shoes, or is the styling way off?
Have you checked Grant Stone's new ladies line yet? Their Nora boots look sweet and have a better construction than RW
Love that you’re doing reviews for woman’s boots too!
Please consider doing a review on the Timberlands Premium 6” waterproof boots
Definitely interested in womens boots, for all the reasons you mentioned👍
Thanks for making this one. I’ve wondering if my girlfriend would like boots like the ones I wear so I was interested in this one.
Would love to see more womens boots! I always watch but had conceded to only seeing men's boots, so this was a treat. wearing my clara's right now!
Thanks sssooo much for reviewing women's boots!! We gotta know what's up too.
I bought some RWs for my wife last Xmas. They’re gorgeous. I hope they have value!!!! Let’s roll!
