Why do you keep doing this: Creating the best learning videos about power point? Please don't stop! You are superbly incredible and your videos are great. I just keep loving it.
Zombie Ducklings Thanks, Zombie Ducklings - that's great that you've found the video useful and it can help you in future presentations. That's why I make these videos, so great to hear!
Hi...I'm using powerpoint everyday as my tool to teach my students..It's really great to know that there are things like these in PPT 2013..Great presentation..
+jiggs balisi Hi Jiggs - thanks for the comment, and so glad you're using this kind of stuff with your students! I'm sure they love your presentations!
This very helpful as I enjoy bringing my Power Point Presentations to life. I enjoyed the use of the transitions while demonstrating the 10 helpful tools available on the 2013 Power Point. Very well done.
Having created hundreds of presentations I appreciate how you put this together and presented everything. Great job! Not bad with the Nunchaku either. Lol, I wouldn't mess with you.
Haha - thanks, Terry! Appreciate the comments, and glad you enjoyed. Yes, I've created hundreds of presentations too but unfortunately don't get to use any of these tricks :/ there because they are too formal. So these videos give me an outlet to be more creative - and also help others learn as well!
Thank you, I am very happy that you take the time to do these presentations. You make it all seem so easy - you are informative and fun. Again thank you.
Wow..You've just knocked me off my chair . Loved the closing effect..it was mind shattering ;-) Definitely subscribing as I'm sure I'll be learning a lot from you. Thank you.
the most thing that amazed me in this vedio is you playing with the monchako it was superb , no really you are doing great job with thous slide or what ever what they are so keep on the track :)
haha thanks, Rafik! I was originally going to (pretend to) hit the screen with a hammer but decided to be a bit more creative :). Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for making it all the way to that part of the video!
+DkRsT Oh my gosh, tell me about it! It's so versatile, but most people don't even realize it! I hope my channel gives people inspiration for what else they can do with it. Thanks for the comment, DkRsT!
I just wish someone would come around and make an animation addon soon! It does get a bit hard to animate when you can't have something under 1 thing but over another.
Haha yeah for real! I have several very close calls but managed to make it work without destroying everything. :). Thanks for watching till the end, Ellie!
I loved this video! You worked really, really hard to bring this video to us! I can appreciate the work you put in to accomplish this! I REALLY LOVED IT! Thanks for all your hard work!
Leah Adams Hi Leah - thanks so much for the comment! I'm so glad you can see how much work and time went into it, and that you think it was helpful! Such nice comments make the work worth it! :)
you have basically helped me learn and use power point in two weeks. all of your videos are great and extremely helpful. do you teach classes? or webinars? i would deffinately be a supporter! thank you again for all your help and soo much hard work!! i can totally relate to the "trial and error" in getting things right! lol but to produce a great presentation would be all worth the work!!
Thanks, Mad Tical! I love hearing stories like that - it takes me a really long time to make videos, and being able to help viewers in this way makes it worth it. I am trying to find a way to teach classes/ webinars more formally but don't currently have the time to figure out the best way due to my crazy work schedule. I will definitely let everyone know as soon as I come up with something - as I have a lot more to share - I just need to find an efficient way to get it out of my brain and into a video :).
Wow! Very powerful PPTx tips! I've had the full suite of MS Office 2013 for about 4 months now and I use PPTx daily to try to learn about it's many wonderful capabilities as compared to my older 2010 and 2007 versions. Rest assured, you absolutely hit it out of the park with all the bases loaded! Bravo! You're an excellent presenter and your video is like a breath of fresh air! You absolutely inspired me to hit the drawing board once again and take my game to the next level! Thanks for sharing with us all!
Wow, what a kind comment, FLAGuy! I'm really glad that you are working hard to learn all of the great features of 2013 - there are certainly a lot there. Really appreciate the feedback, and especially pleased that you are re-energized to continue to learn more. It's exactly the sort of self-driven learning I'm hoping to inspire, so thank you for sharing!
Great video! Hats off to your effort for making such a video in PowerPoint. Thanks for the review. I hope changing color for BG themes are also availbale in Office 2010.
Thanks, Tech Mania! Yes, it was a big effort but hopefully it's worth it in terms of being informative and inspirational :). You can customize themes in PPT 2010 yourself, but it's not as simple as in 2013 -- here is a nice article from MS that shows how to customize themes in 2010: office.microsoft.com/en-us/powerpoint-help/customize-and-save-a-theme-in-powerpoint-2010-HA010338409.aspx
Thank you. One of the absolute best introductions to the new features of PPT2013 in an interesting, engaging manner. Well done! I'm feeling less upset that I am forced to use Office 2013 after my computer crashed and I can no longer get 2010.
+Bonecrusher27WTF haha yeah, that's not a bad "consequence" compared to crashes usually :). Glad the video was useful and helped you feel better, bonecrusher!
thanks..thanks...thanks.. i am now confident to make very effective & powerful presentations...thanks again.. i have subscribed.. i hope more videos will follow...thanks again
Great, glad you are going to try it out! Good luck with that - I'm sure it'll turn out really well. Thanks again for watching and commenting - really appreciate it!
You are just so friggin' talented. You have this amazing ability to take pieces of something and come up with all these creative ways of building a work of art. If I could just have a tiny piece of that part of your DNA. Wonderful!
Congratulations your video is very helpful and professional. I have the version 2007 and I was thinking about to upgrade to 2013 specially because the video effect but I needed to know the difference if it is worth. Definitely for my new projects it will be awesome. Thank you :)
+iphoneusabr Glad this was useful - yes, if you have 2007 and can upgrade to 2013, I would definitely do it - it's a whole new world. NOw unfortunately, I just got 2016 and there's almost no change from 2013, which stinks. So yes, have fun with 2013 - you'll really enjoy it!
+Leo Steinke Thanks, Leo! Yes, practice definitely helps - and can be really fun along the way if you experiment with new tricks. That's how I come up with new ideas!
PowerPoint Spice I meant that in a nice way. It's beautifully presented. Thanks for replying - has prompted me to watch again. I shared on FB. Best wishes. Teri.
Teresa Griffith No, I totally took it as a compliment! If only more PPT presentations could be entertaining... the world would be a much more fun place :). Really appreciate your sharing, commenting, and watching - thanks, Teresa!
You are amazing! Thanks for these videos. I'm trying to get some animation effects like signs (with words) flipping down randomly... I think this one (with the "hinge" effect may help)... (I've seen the effect on TV, but I can't remember where...It's words "hinging" down...). I also want to create a flipbook like effect. Anyway, now I need to watch all your videos. Thanks again...
Great work!!!! There tricks are cool. But, i wanted to know how a picture can be made visible in airplane transition(video at 0:10) . Also can we change the design of each slide in a single presentation?? is that possible??I mean i wanted different designs for different slides in a single presentation ..
+sai vamsi Hi Sai - thanks for the question! For the airplane transition, the plane will convert the first slide into the plane and the second slide into the background / sky against which the plane flies. You can change the design of each slide by using different slide masters. Here is an article by MS that might be useful: support.office.com/en-us/article/Use-multiple-slide-masters-in-one-presentation-09174b1b-04a3-41b8-bc22-2e21636d9e7f
Great video. You make animation using PowerPoint look so easy. Definitely worth reviewing to add pizazz to some of my work. Thanks for the information.
Good video. Is it possible to have 2 separate animations in the same slide? For example, could I have a sliding news ticker on the bottom of the slide in addition to the existing animation? Both being animated at the same time.
+Adam Moffett Thanks, Adam! Yes, you absolutely can. You have to just play around with the timing - if you want both things to start at the beginning of the slide, for example, you just put "start with previous" for the timing for both animations. You can also have multiple animations on one object (just use the "add animation" button). Hope that helps!
Hi, your presentation amazing!!I do love it. I suggest you to make such classification of your presentation (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) and share them to us. Its really inspiring.. Thanks PptSpice
Thanks, Gusnawaty! Glad you enjoyed the video! I do sort of try to make the classifications in the title (I usually just use Easy or Advanced), but I'll think about being more systematic about it. Also, most of my newer videos now have transcripts, so hopefully that's helpful for you, as I know you were interested in that previously :).
Great video! I have this huge presentation I have to do at the endof my internship. And I'm reeeaaally nervous ;_; but these tips and tricks really helped me out! Thanks alot! :D
Excellent - if you apply some of the other tricks in this and my videos - I'm sure your presentation will amaze your internship coordinators :). Thanks for watching and commenting!
+almc2242 Hi almc - unfortunately there's not really a way to do it automatically. You can insert music into PPT directly or you can try to sync it more closely with a video editor (which is what i usually do). Thanks so much for the comment and watching the videos. Hope that helps!
Thank you! I made the television with just some grey and black boxes with some shadow and 3d effects applied. The remote is just from the MS office clip art site. I added a 2 or 3 degree rotation (and back) animation to the remote, with a "click" sound to make it look like that.
I don't know what else to say, your presentations, ideas, PowerPoint knowladge really amaze me. Thank you
Thanks Paul! Appreciate your watching my videos and commenting. Really glad you find them useful!

Lika always, love your PPT tips. One question: Is there a way to place PPT in rhythm with the background music?
+almc2242 Hi almc - unfortunately there's not really a way to do it automatically. You can insert music into PPT directly or you can try to sync it more closely with a video editor (which is what i usually do). Thanks so much for the comment and watching the videos. Hope that helps!
it is so amazing. thank you for sharing. i really appreciate your effort.
Thanks, Forhad! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
BTW You are not limited to CC Pictures since I have been using the Bing Search to find pictures and it allows you to use any picture on Bing.

Great video, where did you get that television and remote controller in your ppt and how did you get the click animation of the remote controller ? :D
Thank you! I made the television with just some grey and black boxes with some shadow and 3d effects applied. The remote is just from the MS office clip art site. I added a 2 or 3 degree rotation (and back) animation to the remote, with a "click" sound to make it look like that.
Great stuff.. Keep it up ...
