I would definitely check out Takashi Amano set ups for inspiration. The only thing is if you want to do a wider variety of plants especially like stem plants you will need substrate and I recommend fluval stratum or ADA aqua soil. I used to do multiple plants in single aquariums but found it was much easier to make one plant very happy than 5 different types happy at the same time so I kind of just ended up using a few plants i know do really well in my water together like christmas moss and jungle val. They both carpet and are very functionally universal.
@@Nice-Poeci-Fancy-Guppies hm i will have to look up that other plant, I was thinking probably 20 gal cause thats what you seemed to reccomend. maybe I could find some type of small floating plants or something, thanks a lot
@@Nice-Poeci-Fancy-Guppies my one hesitation getting into this is like water changes/chemical balancing, i understand it but idk its just putting me off a little, should i worry about it or no, i feel like the shrimp and snails will help a bit too
@@sebastian6300 Yes I believe 20 gallons are amazing because its much easier for maintenance, the lights are more affordable and the light doesnt have to travel so deep and also provides sufficient space for guppies to breed responsibly IMO.
