Maasai, Kenya: Stolen Inheritance

This film tells the mysterious story of disappearance of Maasai family members and their sacred artifacts which are now currently held at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, UK. The film shows us the preparation process of the journey of Maasai delegation to go to Oxford, UK by the Maasai Spiritual Leader Mokompo Ole Simel who provides guidance and blessings to the pilgrimage.

This footage demonstrates how Maasai are such honorable upstanding attractive people full of grace, even in the face of great pain and adversity. Signs of a very mature culture.. Inspiring. I love the holistic manner how these Maasai deal with this HUGE imbalance to their community. And they are such Excellent! communicators.. I would have provided a commentary for viewers explaining the Dates of this tragedy provide some background. I cant tell WHEN??? all this is taking place. I'm left to extrapolate what the story is..
Sacred Artifact Piracy.. A group robbed them of this Artifact and killed atleast one of their most crucial traditional elders. Then sold their vital Artifact which ended up in British Museum's hands. Right? Im not sure but thats what it seems. Any more details would have been welcome.
