Argo SRV will be my first Argo ship I'm going out of my way to get. Mole is nice and all, but the SRV is so clean for an industrial craft. 5:13 I'd say that seating is for the client you are towing. You know, as their ship could have little life support (if it's that damaged) or no power.
It happened to me about half hour ago. A random guy massively helped me out and I crashed to desktop while typing a very sincere thank you. I felt awful so relaunched as quickly as I could and it spawned me back exactly where I was and there was my guy and I was able to say thank you.
I’m so excited to use this as a ship to scout the asteroid cluster and sell valuable asteroids that have good ore. Imagine charging people for 1/3 the value of the ore inside, but being able to locate them and move them way faster than it would take to harvest.
Thats a great idea. Imagine pyro has the really good stuff/new rare ore and you bring it to stanton where otherwise it be harder to get to. That could be a large profitable business model
I could see that being viable for super massive asteroids that an Orion might want to munch on but you might need another scanning ship to help find one. This ship is more for towing ships that can communicate their own position, it doesn't need great scanners. I wouldn't be surprised if an Orion would be capable of locating great rocks from far away and then kind of guiding this ship to it though. For the kinds of rocks a prospector or mole would crack, a 315p would be more suitable with it's smaller front facing tractor beam and upgraded scanning package. The 315p would also be great for unloading and loading cargo during salvage operations. Of course, any ship with a good scanner could also just sell the locations without moving the loot.
I like that Argo ships are your general 'work ships'. I mean some others like MISC are as well, but Argo just has that 'on the worksite' feel to it, with interiors that remind me of being on the road trucking with my dad as a kid.
The Star Citizen universe needs as many ARGO ships as possible, what a beautiful design language and FRANKLY....fairly unique in big sci-fi games like this. Would love to see enough that ARGO feels like the backbone of the game's world...seeing RAFTs around cargo loading decks and SRVs around small outposts as if they tugboat for a living. I just think ARGO really grounds the Star Citizen universe in such a beautiful way.
I was fiddling with gear animations earlier, I think the VTOL and landing gear are interfering with each other somehow. I was playing with the C1, and the gear worked fine as long as the VTOL thrusters were retracted, but leaving them extended caused the gear to animate very weirdly, and delayed the sounds.
Imagine : A group of players, some of them are on a Reclaimer, and some others are on Argo SRVs bringing stuff to salvage to the Reclaimer. With enough players you can make a lot of money...
I used to be a viewer of yours since you were doing GTA V speculation all those years ago. I’m back, and GTA 6 trailer was just announced. It’s time to come back
Since ship refurbishment game play is coming, you could decide which kind of ship you want to refurbish, put the components in the cargo section of the SRV and tow the ship to be refurbished to Jericho like you did. You could park it just off the deck if you want to work around it in zero G or on the deck. You could also have a crew with you. I could see ATMO esports or CIG having completions where you have to get the ship, bring it back, then have a crew refurbish like a pit crew in a race. Whoever refurbishes their ship the fastest wins.
I love the sitting area in the back of the SRV! Reminds me of a tow truck when the customer rides in the backseat and is still able to watch their vehicle being towed along. Interior is quite cozy!
well its cool when everything works for you . i tried to come back after like a year to see whats new but sadly i had to fight bugs most of the time and more time fighting them then actually playing the game ,many restarts, tweeking settings ,Again looking for fixes online , it felt even worse than the last time i played ,at least then i was able to do missions and stuff . now just basic bounty mission becomes a chore to do and most of the times without pay coz something ddnt go well . i envy people who are lucky that stuff works for them more times then not . coz the game is nice
If you had gone across to the Scorpius BEFORE tractor towing it, you could have lowered its undercarriage, so it sat on that deck properly when you released it.
I mean, imagine you are towing a boat with ropes, you can't just whip around willy nilly... there seems to be physics with the tractor beam where it can only take so much inertial resistance before the beam breaks, so you'll have to learn how to fly in a more controlled way to keep a tow under control.
I can't wait to see this ship in my hangar. I am very glad that the developers made a ship for solo players because there are very few such ships in the game. We have Vulture, Prospector and Cat rock. But one ship is still missing, It's an explorer ship. Such a ship was supposed to be the Star Runner Mercury, but the developers for some reason made it bigger than planned and six people are needed to control this ship.
I had the same issue with the lights when I first spawned the SRV. Also - 100% on Argo design! I wish they made more ships. I want an Argo daily driver.
I received notice that I've made 'High Admiral' status toady... apparently I've spent 1,000usd on SC over the past three-ish years. Believe it or not, I got no regrets! 😎 guess I'll wear my tavarin war uniform, monocle & Top hat with pride! I really do love this game, and what it'll become
"two seats, one bed" - yeah, it's called "hot bunking" - allows the crew to work in shifts. one sleeps and the other works, then they switch. it's not a luxury ship where everyone gets their own bunk! makes sense in real life, but of course presents a problem in game as only one person can "bed log" (unless the other just waits for the first to despawn)
Imagine the dockworkers looking at each other after they watched this guy running around his ship in confusion and then disappear with the cargo lift xD
What i would love to know is if you can use the tug boat to bring your ship thats in soft death back to a station and repair it. That would be really cool.
The SRV was the ship design that interested me the most and would finally make Star Citizen worth putting money into. For it to finally be so close to public release is a dream true. I hope my wallet is ready.
about the workarround for the sound. Have you tried to cloase the cocpitdoor? Eaven if it dosent help right now CIG can use that to cut the sound of that Tractorbeam.
@Ollie43 Apparently setting your swap file from system managed to 1024 * amount of ram (in GB and x2 if you have enough disk space) can help with the crashes to desktop.
Ollie, now with GTA6 being officially announced, will you be making a road to GTA6 series like you did with GTA5? You got me hyped up every time a video dropped!
I just had an idea... remember the starter ship you had in the first privateer? I would pay money for a nice, industrial, modern interpretation of that design.
Still think the Vulture should be an Argo ship not a Drake. Though the towing makes me think we can pull a bunch of salvage missions and pull them to a Reclaimer or some vultures that are just salvaging them all and maybe a cargo ship.
yes I think flying with it is you have to stick within the limits . also could you in the Scorpius and repair it then store it ? LOL a nice way to get new ships ?
Shame it doesn't have lights or a cabin pointing backwards, imagine if they had made the cabin on a swivel so it could rotate without needing to go into remote turret
Do you get your own private server to play on or something? I can't stay on long enough to get my SRV out of the hangar. And that seems to be the general consensus, especially after Friday's patch.
So, at first I really hated your videos and I have no idea why they keep coming in to my feed but you've really started to grow on me! If you can ignore the fact that you're just not the brightest player in the game and watch you struggle with the obvious as comedy, the videos become a lot less annoying and a lot more fun! This one really had me going! You nearly locking your self in the cargo hold... Priceless! 😂😂
I had that idea too LOL.. then you can take your time and scrape/munch it too.. just wait till we can put down custom markers in dead of space and have your own graveyard of salvage to pick apart :)
if this game actually worked, with things to do that are not repetitive as hell, and something to actually explore besides mono-terrain planets, and they added a "ship" builder where you can parts shop from different manufacturers and assemple your ideal ship. i would undoubtedly buy and play it. but so far seems like a weird money laundering scheme
9:20 the window Ui colore of "dark orange" does *NOT* allow to see anything related to numbers or words with a "blue sky" colore in background. > The colore is absolutly a nono and has to go ASAP out of space. How can you add a colore which does not allow you to see anything at the Ui??!!

How big of a shit can it tow though? Im really curious if it could tow an 890j or carrack. Probably not but curious nonetheless
@@italydude515 I've seen people mention the Hull C seems to be the largest so far.
@@italydude515 it is possible to tow the carrack

I love how there's an entire section that's essentially "Ollie struggling with basic physics". It was great content, hilarious.
I dream of using the srv to pull back knocked out ships to a scrap yard where I repair and resale what I can and scrap what I can't.
I love that idea. Have a used ship yard where you sale discounted ships would be really cool
Damn straight, that was my very idea when I saw this ship, lol
I like Drake and Argo with their industrial feel. They look like working ships
I’m so excited to use this as a ship to scout the asteroid cluster and sell valuable asteroids that have good ore. Imagine charging people for 1/3 the value of the ore inside, but being able to locate them and move them way faster than it would take to harvest.

From what I've heard, you can only tow asteroids after the first break has been made.

I agree Argo is my favourite manufacturer, i'd love a 600 scu hauler ship by Argo and maybe a Kraken sized industrial platform by ARGO xD
If you're moving it too fast, It will detach from the tractor beam as the beams turn yellow to red. You also need to be closer.
yeah you would think it obvious not to take hairpin high G turns while towing something behind you..sheesh
@@AlbertoMartinez765 that was a classic Olli moment

Something about argo and their ship’s interior design brings me comfort and enjoyment 😊

The cool thing about the SRV is that the tractor beam size it utilizes is theoretically able to pull a Hull-C into Quantum Travel.
Yes. A Hull-C.
What about a carrack?
So theorethically this is a carrier, right? You could tug fighters that don't have QD or have low range around.
I had the same issue with the lights when I first spawned the SRV. Also - 100% on Argo design! I wish they made more ships. I want an Argo daily driver.
Argo ships need home depot theme for its elevator music.

Did you not notice that Jericho station has been updated in that build of the EPTU?
I noticed that too. Looks like you can enter part of it?
Aren’t the 2 seats more for the potential clients you’ll be helping out?
Okkayyy Ollie time to get back on your GTA vids 👀👀👀
I think there's a gimbal limit to the tractor beam that's why you keep losing the ship you're towing so watch out for that.
That purplish wavy sign, should be a hint for an Alien ship 👾👽..
Gatac syulen
I love that the solution to combat logging has also made the issue of crashing to desktop go from being a major headache to a minor inconvenience.

The two seats one bed situation is one person flies one sleeps
What if you could tractor asteroids like in the expanse... fling it at your target Lol
Cool your jets, Marco.
After the initial break you can tractor chunks of asteroids.
Still think the Vulture should be an Argo ship not a Drake. Though the towing makes me think we can pull a bunch of salvage missions and pull them to a Reclaimer or some vultures that are just salvaging them all and maybe a cargo ship.
Nah Drake makes sense. They made everything, even a police car

Really excited to have this ship in game it's going to be such a great tool for fun gameplay
Man this ship has by far my favorite interior, I wish the gun situation was better so I could daily drive it 😢

I’ve never screamed “match speed and decouple” so much at a youtube video 😂 you got it in the end
SRV tugging an SRV tugging an SRV, etc. ARO train!
I wonder if you could’ve repaired that salvage ship once you tugged it to the station
“2 seats 1 bed, i don’t know what’s going on here”.
1 for you and 1 for the driver of the ship that you’re towing? 😂

So frustrating you didn't decouple and cruise by slightly slower @14:00. Also, you need to pay attention to the relative speed of your target.
Question, does the SRV fit in an M2 or C2?
landing gears in PU also don't retract normal, ongoing issue
now I'm wondering if the Starfarers at Xenothreat will be moveble

How do you get al those ships do you buy them or any thing else

EPTU keeps crashing and I somehow think they are testing the crash recovery system. It works really good.
my real question is going to be if the srv will be able to cheese the cleanup salvage missions

if he got into that scorpius and tried the repair module on the landing bay, would it have worked?
I get paid the first day of IAE gonna be hard to resist spending.
Hehe nice!
did they change NB fleet terminals or is that a graphical glitch ?

woohoo, more Olli :D
So a ship needs to be powered off in order to be towed? Otherwise a troll with an SRV can just go towing random people only for the lulz.
Not entirely powered off from my experience. Shields have to be off and ideally engines off. Engines can be on but the ship can break free
@@DanielDavis1973 Disabled or shields/engines off. Any movement from the target ship will break the connection.
it can help a reclaimer climb out of atmosphere
New RP, super cool
Its space tow mater😂
I see what you did there with the title and thumbnail 😂
This is the ship you need when those people dont pay their ships extended warranty (repo man in space)
