The trouble with gorehounds is that they deal in sharing grisly footage for others to gawk at, and because of how taboo and hidden it is, it's a bounty actually worth a fair amount of money if somebody has death videos or photos they can share to rubberneckers. Platforms like Facebook just want the content gone. Hiring people who actively seek it out runs the risk that they might retain it and spread it somewhere else, and Facebook doesn't want the legal liability that comes with this.
FACEBOOK IS VILE.
You should have had intensive therapy to even do this! Vicarious trauma is a serious thing.
I thought FB had bots etc to go thru all these and immediately bock/ban these sorts of things and not have real ppl go thru them. Learn something new everyday
why are you not allowed to tell to others about your job (a content moderator) ?
For security and protection.
Bc maybe the one you told you were it's also a guy who records that stuff
If they have leverage on you and you allow something to slip through then it may cause a little outrage and hurt the stock a few points
See it all in person..... Its called first responders. You dont get to smell it, hear it, taste the air, Feel the emotions when getting yelled at. Loading a dead body into a bodybag and taking them to the morgue. You only SAW it on a screen.
Sorry but him openly saying he thought that PTSD was just people being useless came so out of nowhere lol. I guess he got a bit blunt over the duration of his job
get well soon. I honestly don't trust the security of Facebook.
I would do that job. I mean maybe you can stop someone else from seeing something disturbing or disgusting, and not have to be affected by that dirt. Yeah I'd still apply.
What a horror.
Hoping for anything resembling human empathy from Zuckerberg is a fool's errand. This poor soul.
All I can say is „thank you“! Thank you for your hard work, for you saving us from this horrible content. I feel deepest respect for people doing this job, because I know it would totally fuck me up
Another reason why I hope Facebook implodes spectacularly 😏
How do you get this job
It's sad there are so few of these moderators and AI can't read a whole conversation. Im glad Congress called out Mark Zuckerberg for not taking care of the mental health of their employees.
Humans should not have to do this. Period.
Wait, you can get paid to watch horrific videos all day??... I been doing it for free this entire time!!, I didn't know I could make a career out of it.
I PRAY FOR YOU. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM. PLEASE PRAY FOR YOURSELF TOO. WE HUMANS DESTROY OURSELVES, SADLY. BUT JESUS CAN FIX US, LET GOD FIX YOU. :-(
WHAT IS HATE SPEECH “ saying white ppl “. … isn’t hate speech “ saying n word to blk ppl”
我好喜欢这个频道的节目哦😳😳😳
There should make it mandatory that Mark watched this evil content with his wife.
For a full shift.
Either they will enjoy it or despise it. But now it’s all about power and keeping each other wealthy while taken advantage of the vulnerable and poor.
No morals, no change

It's really important that we understand that there are people we don't know and will never meet that make our children and ourselves more safe on the internet. These people do this to help others at their own exspense. I want those people to know how grateful I am to them for what they do.
This is my job right now. And I'm enjoying it. We're like cleaning the negative vibes in fb
And protecting people!!! Where do I apply ?!?
Dogs being barbecued?!😢😢😢😢😢 wtf 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
hire me. i love horror movies and i used to mop up blood in the triage at a hospital. this guy is laughably weak.
I don't like Facebook, but how are they responsible for the videos? Some work isn't cut out for everyone.
I need a job being a Facebook Moderators.some body has to help .
I reduced watching Facebook...The censored parts were disturbing , let alone everything else....
I think there may be some genuine people in Facebook the leadership does not do enough
