You should do Rockford, Illinois... 3rd most dangerous in US, often eclipsed by Chicago... but Rockford at times has a higher murder rate than Chicago its self.
Completely miserable, a shame that there was no transition plan after manufacturing left, hopefully technology integrated with education can get skilled people to work again.

Jack Dudley Austin Jr. you actually can’t, the real bad part of St. Louis is east St. Louis which is in metro St. Louis but not part of St. Louis city and county, I live in Maryland heights an suburb in St. Louis county and it is super safe here, also I’ve been to florrisant, back then in the 1990s Florissant and other north county was super bad, Rn there are lots of cops around and it’s pretty safe there, idk why people think St. Louis is all lunatics and murderers, Chicago and la has wayyy more worse gang violence and drug dealing than stl

@many took this channel.... wrong again... you think you are immune to being pscyhologically abused?... you laid by and watched or helped pay for the people being trained by rap stars and crap like farrakhan to self identify as "nigga" or be afraid of being called uncle tom... to talk trash about any "white" people who tried to help... empowering those taking advantage... and allowed your children to be told that there was no hope uless they were a rap star, a ball player, on the take in politics or media...and absolutely no reason to take care of the fn community.
you are not a fn genius.. .and you are not immune to being psychologically manipulated... and others having the same skin color as you damn sure doesn't mean you have a magical fn bond that makes it so they wont mislead and prey on you while taking credit for being the ones protecting you...
you really should watch my videos.... but watch with as much humility as you can muster... i have far far far more on every topic by nature.... i am unpaid and totally destroyed because your dumb ass empowered examples like clinton and obama to rape the whole fn world in the name of helping "black community"... that happened only because you did not have the will or give a damn to stand up and say you should be looking out for all of the community.
you should have put your foot in farrakhans ass... and in obamas.. and in clintons.. in every rap star and every other similar.. and you should have done it the whole time saying that a law ending free speech or disarming the people will not get the job done but only make it worse.
the fact is you were easily manipulated.... and all of those lives out there... all of that poverty... is a reflection of your give a damn about anything... exactlhy the same as pelosi and her douche bag friends the clintons in cali who created that rust belt... and trump who was raising the price of rent in the 80s... and telling you to demand higher wages to sack the community today.
you were cheap old boy.... your claims of love in life were cheap.... for the time being... that is what is.
i am unpaid.. .and the list of willfull idiotic thieves ready to plunder the world in your idiotic name is pretty damn well endless.... it is that way because you made it so.... cheaply... with your one brief chance to modify all that will ever come into existence..... same as any rap star
don't mind me.... i am only a wigger who grew up trying to stand up for you and getting called stupid for being so.... ... everything i had.. family... dignity... everything gone
watch my videos... deny me at your peril you cheap ignorant... arrogant shell of what you could have been.

You are correct. Ther is limited tax base because theCity of St.Louis is NOT IN St.Louis County. The city is its own entity.
So no County money goes to the city. (And no city money-what little it would be-doesn’t go to the County).
This leaves the City on it’s own to maintain its self.

Every week, we would take a turn at sweeping the broken glass up along our "store front" One day, when it was my turn, I could hear bottles being thrown against the brick wall and breaking at my starting point, before I could even finish at the other end of the block.

The first part of the video is in Old North St. Louis. As he goes down Blair, he cuts off right as he gets to the more nice looking fixed up part. The section at the southern end of the neighborhood still needs some fixing up, but that area is finally bouncing back. I walk around up there all the time and play chess and eat at Crown Candy when I'm in that area. Many of the buildings in that area are over 150 years old. Some of the areas where he went later like College Hll are legit dangerous hoods though. I have seen prostitution and sketchy stuff go down over there.

The city and state need to save these historic buildings and help the people in the neighborhood take ownership of them and learn trades in the process. Ive lived all around St Louis and volunteered a little in the North side and Cherokee areas. Beautiful bones and soul in the city but all the investment goes along the highway and out west to subsidize suburban development and entertainment for suburban families day tripping into the city. If the local government took the city seriously it could be a crowning jewel on the Mississippi again.

Yeah. There’s a few “bad” spots here in Jacksonville. Up around Moncreif. But St.L. is #4 for crime,
      Jacksonville Florida is around #30❗️
We have jobs, and industry. Jacksonville IS the entire county.
      ( opposite of St.Louis)
So there’s a good tax base.

If you were on W. Florissant and its still open that corner shop across the Street sells cheap smokes. Next to the gas station should be a liquor store with pages from booty mags on the safty glass, and a little further down is a Chinese food place that makes questionable yet good food. Pulled up greatly since then but I have lived in every part of that city and even been homeless there like donating plasma for food money homeless.. Of all the places I stayed I'd have to day Maplewood, and St. Ann were the nicest in that order.

I used to ride my motorcycle down to the Arch on late summer nights when Lenore K was completely taken over by black people cruising cars and stunting on bikes, from the Eads Bridge all the way past the Arch and down to the graffiti wall. Cops wouldn't come down there for nuthin'. I saw a head-on accident where a guy in a parked car peeled a u-turn into the street without looking...hit a car coming the other way. He jumped out and ran, and this gal in the other car was screaming with her head bleeding profusely. I stopped to help but the crowd already had a handle on it. Over half an hour later those cars were still sitting there blocking the street and EMS finally showed up with a cop escort. Crazy, crazy shit down there. But this white boy never got any trouble from anyone. It's kind of the STL equivalent of when you see vids from L.A. street takeovers. Lotta stuff goes on while you sleep. LOL
