Rob, Clam licking is outlawed in 9 of the 10 Provinces, though the territories remain a den of lawlessness. Oysters, however, are fair game. 🤪 Jokes aside awesome review man. I've really enjoyed mine so far and was just telling someone on the weekend that you swear by Laphroaig as a great outdoor/campfire whisky. Cheers man 🥃
Great review of 2023 Cairdeas Rob! The port and madeira finish got me interested. I managed to get a bottle from LCBO a few months ago when it was available which in itself is hard for some of these bottles as if/when they come in, they vanish quickly. It's my first Cairdeas purchase. I got fatigued from Laphroaig 10 CS batches 13 & 14 over the last few months so may take a break from Laphroaig for a bit. Cheers!
Nice review Rob! I picked up a bottle of this when it was first released. I agree this is one of the best Cairdeas releases. It’s a great whisky for one pour but not one I ever want more than one pour a night.
Picked up a couple extra of this bottle. I really enjoy it. I had some friends say it wasn't a good release, but I think it holds up if you're wanting a sweet Laphroaig without as much peat punch.
I really enjoyed the 2022 warehouse 1, but skipped the 2023. I think the pricing in Ontario was $150....even worse out west. At that price it competes with the 10yr cask strength! Tough choice. I do always take Laphroaig on camping trips in Algonquin, and can confirm it's perfect for outdoors!
I have a mixed feeling about this one. I like the sweet green grape flavour and it goes well with the Laphroaig signature smoky and iodine-ish profile. Unfortunately I didn’t like the finish.. it was too tannic and drying on my palate. Thank you always for the great review videos! Cheers
Getting a little mad-eira with your notes sir... 150 all in here in NS. Its decent. Will see how it grows on me. Delicate compared to that cairdeas PX from a few years ago.
Damn I must be missing something because I absolutely hated this one. When you describe 'effervescent green apples' as how to cask effect coms out I want one, and I like white port and madeira on their own but for some reason I do not enjoy this one at all. Maybe I should give it another shot. Great review Rob, cheers!

Great review thanks rob. I'm gonna pull the trigger on a bottle

This one took a while to open up but once it did the sweeter fruit flavours really pops

One of the better Cairdeas in my opinion.

"If you licked a clam!"....what are you insinuating here? BAHAHA!!!
😅
These are 120 usd in my area. It is still sitting on the shelves. Sounds good but I wish it was cheaper.
The whole licking clams description got me hot on the deal.
No good?
@@WhiskyInThe6On the contrary, it was a very creative descriptor. It just turned me on a little bit that’s all 🤣
First time viewer... nice tip on the glassware I'll try that with more cask and barrel strength pours.... got ya self a sub 🥃🥃🥃
Cheers Matt. Nice to have you.
