I grew up in Decatur, GA and my Dad had a 1900 Ellington piano - bought in the late 1940s - that he took apart and refinished. Part of family lore was that once it was ready to be tuned after the wood part of the restoration was done and the tuner came out and did his best but he told Dad that he hadn't tuned it to A440 bc the frame was cracked and he said it wouldn't hold. That wasn't crucial since his brother could tune his 1952 Gibson Sunburst _to_ our piano for their family jams. The tuner was also a Southern gospel singer / songwriter of some acclaim, Mosie Lister. If the name means nothing - but you like the genre of Southern gospel - a little research of "songs written" will most likely make you smile
