I cried watching this. James was a good friend of mine. I miss his great singing voice and he knew the true way of how gospel music should be....he was a very kind and great man with wonderful values.

What he said from 6:20-9:23 is so profoundly true, especially in this day and age. There's still much hope for the United States but only if the nation relies on God again. I pray I learn to have the same conviction that James Blackwood had when it comes to serving Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful tribute to a true man of God and a true gospel legend. I had the privilege of following James and the Blackwood Brothers in Minnesota when I was a kid in Minnesota. James always took the time to visit with anyone who wanted to visit with him. While the world misses his voice, Heaven rings with James in the choir! Thanks for posting this tribute!

J D speaking sounds like a thunder in the auditorium. I never heard about someone with a lower voice pitch than JD Sumner. Do you know someone?
