You, Adrestrian knights.
How much weight... can you handle? Can you withstand the spirit of one who's life has passed? The weight of the burden of that death? Weak souls succumb quickly to a strong spirit... Strong ether is like a toxin to those whose bodies and minds are unfamiliar with such overwhelming power....
Glen, just for a moment, grant me that power...!
Fire Emblem Character Spotlight: Felix
#fireemblem #nintendo #spotlight
Honestly I love how rude Felix is, mostly because he's RIGHT. He calls out Dimitri for acting like a lunatic, he calls out Dorothea for being a gold-digger, he calls out his dad for acting like Glenn's death was a good thing, Ingrid on being obsessed with knighthood and being bossy, etc. It's kind of refreshing when most of the other 3H characters are so cheery.
Also he's hot. XD
UnluckyAmulet 100% agree. His indignation makes sense. People DO glorify death and it IS disgusting.
I wouldn't say he's right though, he just has a different way of thinking than his fellow students. Seteth's support lets him realize that he will hate everyone if he keeps down the path he's going and even ingrid's A support has her telling him she will keep her ideals. Even Rodrigue isn't really in the wrong because he never thought Glenn's death was good, more so that if he survived through that Glenn himself would not be able to live with himself. Was he wrong for saying that to Felix, yep, but is he wrong for believing his son's death wasn't in vain, no.
Gold digga.
Saucin Reggie He is right in saying that the glorification of chivalry pushes people to their death by making them think it’s honorable and good to die for your lord.
Honestly, felix really reminds me of myself. Even if he is more sane than my poor brain. I do honestly agree that chivarly makes people think that when they die, they will be worshipped. And basically makes death more interesting than living. What will you do after your death ? You are just dead, a husk and a corpse. Why worship dead bodies like flies do ? Sorry for that tangent, but i do resonate with him alot. Being called a jerk for just saying things straight and not caring for others feelings, but i do agree that it can make people hate you.
As someone who actually lost a brother, I find Felix's protrayal to be extremely relatable. He's a five star to me in personality.
It makes characters feel so much more complete when you empathize with them personally.
Ikr. I feel like he cares more about Dimitri than anyone. Including Dedue at times. He’s the only one who calls him out on his behavior.
Yeah

My opinion is you don't go telling ingrid to "go get a husband".

If mangs swung that way, probably would have been a 4/5
There are still some moments where felix is unnecessarily rude to people, mostly when there is no reason to. But I get it.
"His design could make him the main character of another fire emblem game" of course it can he has blue hair
Imagine Felix being a main character... I can imagine it, but at the same time I cant.
@@gabbycraft7035 nah IS probably wouldn't make an unlikable protagonist even edlegarde is somewhat nice even if she is crazy
I actually really like Felix’s personally because even though he may seem extremely ‘edgy’, it’s also completely understandable when you see why. And he also has some pretty logical views on things. Not always, but in general you can get to understand his views.
The alternate universe with Gay Mangs giving Felix a perfect score in every category.
Rule 63 Mangs
"felix is one of the hardest students to recruit into another house"
me: *sweats in him and ashe being with me in all 4 routes*
Lol, I thought he was the easiest to recruit.
I recruited him immediately in Golden Deer (To be fair I WAS on NewGame+)
All units are easy to recruit just get good supports with them.
"I don't like tsundere MEN"
"Joking aside"
Mangs likes men confirmed.
Don't blame him. There are many great Fire Emblem husbandos.
Ah. Good ole Felix. A character so good in combat that I made him my dancer as a joke and he was still a murder machine...
I did max avoid with the rapier and Wo Dao for crit... He soloed half of Edelgards army
Probably one of, if not, the most complex non-lord characters in 3H. Also one of the best in terms of gameplay.

12:13 not sure if someone already said this, but BYLETH must talk to Rodrigue to get the sword of Moralta. Felix doesn't talk to him at all.
Wtf so that's how I missed the sword. So many relic/sacred weapons in the game wtf
That's really stupid that Felix can't get itfrom talking to his own father.
@@dantemustdie00 To be fair he hates his Dad so..
@@AkameGaKillfan777
Right
@@dantemustdie00 but in a way it also makes sense cause he hates him
Bad person, great character. I think Three Houses did a good job at creating these characters. Sometimes characters don't have to be a good person to be an interesting character. Felix also gives no shits towards Dimitri's dark side post-timeskip, he shows a lack of sympathy for him which is different from many other character in the route. He works very well in Blue Lions since most of the characters in Blue Lions harp on about Chivalry and Honor, something that Felix feels strongly about. I feel that this creates an interesting dynamic.
Also fun fact, Felix was the character to predict Jeritza's betrayal first.
Edit: Since Mangs had different thoughts than me, I'd like to clarify this is my opinion of the character.
Felix is incredibly important to the BL route's narrative, as he's basically the only internal opposing force for Dimitri and allows the player to stay grounded and view the situation from a more neutral position.
how is he a bad person? He's always worried about his friends, he's not afraid of speaking his mind and calling them out for their flaws but even then he tries to give them constructive criticism or helpful advice
@@floricel_112 Ah yes constructive criticism and helpful advice like when he says to Ingrid go find a husband.
Hes not a bad person, hes just got a very strict self. He still cares, hell when he has ti fight with his friends he gets upset about it.
@@emb1 Felix has answers but he doesn't entertain the thought and tries to have no nuance at all which makes him incredibly prickly and not a people's person. He tells Ingrid that as a means of "Follow your heart" since she was probably at her happiest with his brother. He constantly remarks about The Boar Prince or rather, the more strained emotional side of Dimitri and how it has to be contained and dealt with instead of simply ignored. Hell, he only wisens up to Sylvain's behavior when he genuinely sees how much Sylvain actually cares about more than skirt chasing.
Felix is, a jerk. But he's a pretty perceptive jerk with no articulation.
1:40 Ingrid's reaction to Mangs calling her Ingree
Inbred
This reminded me, hey, do a spotlight on Seteth. He is a character that manages to both develop himself a bit, and develop others in the supports. He's also a good unit. He's pretty underrated IMO
I still need to do anything with Seteth ingame. I hear he's good, but anything Flayn related makes me fall asleep.
Literally one of the best characters in Fire Emblem.
Bit of an exaggeration
he's pretty cool
Andrei Francisco I respectfully disagree
@@tabun76 I disagree
I really disagree honestly. Probably because I see The Navarre archetype being very anime cliche and boring (which Felix clearly fits in). Felix cool but no way near outstanding (heck I can even say Lonqu has more Dept then Felix but again my opinion). And even within The Three Houses cast He really doesn't stand out compare to character like Marianne/Dorothea/ and even Ferdinand. But is better then Raphael and Bernadetta 100%
Its hard to say that any Fire emblem character is an edgelord, because calling someone that infers that they are brooding only to get attention, while most fire emblem characters act dark because of their past or current circumstances.
@@AkameGaKillfan777 she's not anywhere close to being a edgelord lol
Facts
Felix is probably my favourite unit in the trio of him, Ingrid and Sylvain
He's also the unit I recruit every time because he's strong and not someone I want to encounter
Also his link with Dimitri is so good
12:14
The Sword of Moralta is a sacred weapon, not a relic.
"Does nothing for me." There's literally a part of your Azure Moon let's play where you say "awwww he can be so nice sometimes he..."
I hate tsunderes. I also don't really like characters that are excessively rude. So them making Felix someone I actually like is honestly impressive
I don’t care what the game tells me, Felix is no swordmaster, he’s a freaking war master. All he needed for the majority of the blue lions route was an iron gauntlets+ and he was set
Agreed. Tho he needs to be trained asap on brawling to get the best possible ranks which means he's at his best on azure moon route or when he's recruited soon

@@lob674 EVERYONE GO HOME NOW WE GOT A WINNER
War Master Felix is overpowered, I made Felix a War Master on an Azure Moon route where I gave everyone classes that could be considered unique for them.
It’s interesting that Felix is one of the hardest characters to recruit, but on my first ever play through of three houses (Golden Deer) Felix was one of the first students I ever required along with Dorothea XD
Same here on Black Eagles (together with Marianne)
to me Felix is the easiest character to recruit because you need speed and sword which is literally so easy since byleth uses swords and has like 50% speed growth
MatyJauregui yeah, he may have a higher requirement than others, but it is for a weapon you actually start off a bit higher than normal. I guess it all depends on how you play the game and build your Byleth
@@joegreen3802
I think Mangs is operating under the impression that a B+ is swords is difficult to obtain because it's a high threshold. But sword is probably the easier Byleth to build, and the speed requirement is easy to make. Felix is probably among the easier units to recruit because most Byleth will use swords even in a non sword based class.
I have a speculation: Fraldarius and Daphnel were swapped in the VW final map. It shows Fraldarius as a Falcon Knight and Daphnel as a Holy Knight, where I think it should have been the other way around.
Point 1: Rodrigue is a Holy Knight and Ingrid (most commonly) becomes a Falcon Knight, so it would make sense for the Elites to reflect that.
Point 2: Fraldarius is shown to be a woman because she's a Falcon Knight, a female-only class. But "-us" is a masculine suffix in Latin. (Yes, there is Samus, but keep in mind that we were originally meant to believe that she was a man.)
Point 3: Falcon Knights get the Lancefaire skill, so wouldn't it make sense for it to have a lance relic? Holy Knights don't get a faire skill other than light magic, which isn't an item, so it would make sense for it to get a non-weapon relic. Besides, Aegis in the Greek myths it's based on, is a _holy_ shield, so it would make sense on a _Holy_ Knight.

@@lordofhostsappreciator3075 I unironicaly like your name.
I audibly gasped when he said that lmao. Based
Felix is like a less lazy version of python and python is already one of my favorite characters and he's one of my favorites.
I really like Felix. As with Sylvain he's an interesting spin on a common character trope.
His support with Dimitri is my favorite, it gets to the heart of his ideals and scars.
Also you get a free sword out of their B Support.
Felix: A great unit, and a great character.
His refusal to accept glorification of death much to the dismay of Ingrid and Rodrige is makes for some compelling progression.
Despite his "edgy" interactions he does care for his friends and family. Such as his slight hesitation to strike down Ingrid in CF and his small greivance over his father in AM.
And he even gets his comeuppance. In any route not AM he dies alone most of the time in his non paired endings. Sylvain and Felix non AM did hit a little ngl.
Ps: At 12:17 it is Byleth that gets the sword by talking to Daddy Plotdevice, not Felix. I know this because I made the same mistake of in my recent maddening run
And in Verdant Wind, after the death of dimitri he basically spends the rest of the game trying to avenge him. And he stops calling him boar at a certain point too
I think that Felix had one of the best written scripts for the game, especially if you know his story and recruit him to Crimson Flower. It makes him one of my favorite characters. As it gives him a reason to be in the crimson flower route instead of being one of those “hey look, it’s where the professor is”
11:03 Felix isnt strong in axes hes strong in bows
He’s strong in brawl, but not bows and axes
Actually Mangs, I think Felix changed his tune for Dorothea when she proved to him that she knew self defense. She was forced to learn how to protect herself when she was an opera singer. He had initially dismissed her as nothing more than a money grabber looking for a rich husband. But that's when he started to see her in a new light. Then afterwards he's nicer towards her.
A couple of things of note in this video, because there where a few mistakes:
Felix is, besides for good ol Sylvain, the easiest unit to recruit without the B rank requirement. If you can reach him to C+, his requirements will only need C+ Support ~Yes, that is a not well-known thing for supports, Byleth supports reach C+~ in Swords, and 12 speed. At B rank, I'm pretty sure it's guaranteed due to the requirements being equal or lower to Byleth's bases. D+ Swords, 6 Speed.
The Sword of Moralta is not a Relic weapon, it is a Sacred weapon, which means that non-crest users can use it just fine!
Yeah I pointed this out when proofreading but it's a lot of nuance to add for what's supposed to be just a simple trivia. I do think Caspar/Ferdinand are harder to recruit.
@@Mekkkah I disagree with Caspar being difficult to recruit. Even without a support, all he needs is a C rank in Brawling. That's far from difficult to earn, due to multiple teachers giving Brawling in Part 1. D+ if you reached C+ in supports, as Byleth has enough STR at base to recruit him.
I'd say that Ferdinand is the hardest, but Caspar's right up there in the ease of recruitment without a B support, alongside Felix, Ignatz and Dorathea.
Felix is a really interesting character. I wish more people would realize how truly unhealthy his relationship with Dimitri though. Its an interesting dynamic, but an extremely toxic one as well. Personally though i feel Felix is justified in being upset, and even disgusted by dimitri, i feel that his constant degredation of him makes him just as much an enabler as dedue, ingrid and others passiveness. Felix grows a lot in azure moon, and i appreciate he way most of his supports progress too. (His supports with seteth, sylvain, and ashe are some of my favorites in the game) Crimson flower Felix is also fantastic, just extremely heartbreakingly ironic in his arc there.
In terms of his relationship with Dimitri, I do believe Felix is right for calling Dimitri out, but I do disagree with several things.
Mainly, Felix claims that he suffered loss as well, and I won't deny he did, but at the same time, I don't think he fully understood what Dimitri went through. Felix just lost his brother and was told of it. Dimitri lost almost his entire family and saw most of it happen before him. That is a hell of a lot more damaging than just hearing about it. Combine that with survivors guilt and it's no surprise Dimitri lost it. I am not saying that Dimitri was right in his actions in part 2 for the record. But I do agree with you that him just dismissing that Dimitri is a loss cause did not help any better than his father trying to be a yes man of sorts.
@@joegreen3802 while trauma isnt always comparable, i agree-Dimitri has been through so damn much, and with little guidance as well. Felix is from his own understandable trauma, but I think his inability to even try to understand Dimitri is indicitave of one of Felix's biggest flaws--his inability to take other perspectives. What makes Felix's situation so sad is that he and Rodrigue cope with Glenn's death so differently--I tend to cope with things more like Rodrigue, so playing through I was always a bit more sympathetic to him. Felix is so singlemindedly dedicated to his ideals that he is often not only dismissive but flat out disrespectful of others. Its one of tge reasons i love his supports with Seteth so much. Felix and Rodrigue are too strong in their own beliefs to consider eachothers perspectives, and tragically even when Rodrigue tries to reach out, Felix is too closed off to respond, until its too late. Its a nice echo of the game, but especially Azure Moon's overarching themes--clashing viewpoints, and whether characters choose to build bridges, or burn them.
Felix saying "go find a husband" to Ingrid cracks me up every time
Nobody:

I love Lucien Dodge, if Felix gets in FEH I'll scream
Its only a matter of time

You, Devisian Knights. How much weight... can you handle?
The true best boi of Blue Lions.
Felix is terrified of death and being alone, hence why he gets so irritable when people talk about death as being nothing to worry about.
You can see that with how he scolds Sylvain when he puts himself in harms way to defend Felix. He gets super angry at him but admits he doesn't want to lose his bestie.
He's got a nice side too. He does chew our Ashe and Mercie initially but later helps them to grow. He likely wants Ashe to avoid walking into the same path his brother did as Ashe is still very young.
I like his clashes with Dimitiri post Redemption, he's almost mentoring him and reminding him to stay on the path he wants to be on. Felix reminds Dimitri to hate that brutal side of him because its not who he really is
Felix, Aka Squall Leonheart, once a sweet boy that became an agressive introvert after losing an older sibling, works well alone but can only achieve his true potencial by learning how to work with others. He keeps people away so he doesnt risk losing people again. I love the fact that you must work against his personal skill for him to be truly optimal.
+ his bane in authority
I also understand where you’re coming from when it comes to only liking tsundere girls since you’re a guy. I tend to like tsundere guys but the girls annoy me for some reason with a few exceptions like taiga from toradora so I feel you lmao
In a nutshell, Felix is Sasuke Uchiha except written well and without any plot armor superpowers like the Sharingan.
Don't forget the fact that Dimitri also became a Sasuke to everyone during the first five chapters of the time skip in Three Houses due to his cold attitude.
Except for the fact that, unlike Sasuke, Dimitri didn't ditch the monastery to go to an outside force to gain power in order to defeat Edelgard and all that nonsense.

I gave the Aegis shield along with a Fraldarius sign to Dedue.
The shield paired with his natural defense + fortress knight + his paralogue battalion made so even the final boss couldn't Damage him by a single point
Actually, the Crest of Fraldarius's extra damage does triple on a crit, but it doesn't triple when dealing effective damage. Yet another reason why War Master Felix is just that powerful.
Or sword master
Anything to boost his crit-rate
@@Konpekikaminari Now I'm curious wether or not his crest could make Astra actually worthwhile. I always make him into a Warmaster so the thought never crossed my mind.
@@justsomejojo probably not
I mean, if you proc it and crit on all 5 hits it's a solid fixed 75 extra damage on top of everything else
But felix can probably do as much damage (if not more) with Finesse Blade or Brave Sword+Desperation and keep the 5 extra durability Astra would've eaten up
@@Konpekikaminari In other words, War Master, which gives a flat +20 to crit rate no matter the weapon and specializes in a weapon type that gives him more chances to attack.
@@justsomejojo His crest doesn't work with combat arts, only regular attacks. That's a question for Sylvain or Ingrid. The only Crest in the game that applies to both regular attacks and combat arts is the crest of flames.
Idk about calling him a tsundere beyond surface level(a metric by which edgelord works pretty much just as well). A tsundere is usually in complete denial about their feelings and that leads them to sometimes display appreciation and anger in close succession. Felix doesn't really do that.
Also, a couple clarifications on his crest; it does get influenced by crits and thus does add 15 damage to them(that's visible in this very video:o), but it can only ever activate with normal attacks, so it doesn't work with hunter's volley at all.
Idk how they made a character that is LITERALLY Sasuke work in fire emblem of all games and be well liked and deserves to be liked

"Nothing Personal"- Felix Hugo Fraldarius
Felix is better than the vast majority of tsunderes (including Severa) because when he's cold he actually says what he believes and means.
He's not saying things that are counterproductive to his character (I like you but I'm embarrassed to show it so I'm hurting you instead). He's not extremely immature and exhausting like most tsunderes (which is what leads to the hot and cold dynamic). In other words, he's honest, which is the opposite of a tsundere trait.
I think it's unfair to simply call him a tsundere and leave it at that. There are very few tsunderes that actually act like this, one of the only ones that come close to mind are Rita from Tales of Vesperia.
While Sniper Felix is still excellent, the Crest of Fraldarius only procs on regular attacks. Aka, you select the "Attack" command. Combat arts and gambits aren't influenced by it, which includes Hunter's Volley.
Pretty sure I had it proc on a combat art once

I'm surprised you didn't give Felix's character a 1 star.
Glad to see some Felix love, but no one can't beat Sylvain.
Yo, anybody else notice the music box cover of "His World" at the end?
That's such a nice touch
It's kinda funny that Felix doesn't trust Dimitri for going berserk when as a unit he can legit just be plopped on the front lines and have a near 100% chance of just destroying everything in his reach.
Mangs- "I know this will piss of Felix fans...but 2 stars."
Me, with my endless Felix drawings, youtube profile as Felix, and huge Felix obsession- ...YOU ARE WRONG.
I honestly didn't care much for Felix before this video but I have to say you did a great job explaining his worldview and why it makes sense. Very good video, the spotlights realy have come a long way from what they used to be. My request would be either of Wolf or Sedgar sience they played such a huge role in your fe11 ironman.
Regarding what class to have Felix pursue, my personal favorite is the "Mortal Savant" class. While Felix only gets two spells from increasing his reasoning, passing the certification exam can cause bonus stats to be obtained. I still don't know how that whole thing works, to be honest. The "Swordmaster" and "Mortal Savant" classes share the same "sword wielding" stance.
A bit of context on the whole “he can be an enemy in the blue lions route”
SPOILER ALERT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED AT LEAST ONE ROUTE OR THE BLUE LIONS
In the final battle with Hegemon Edelgard, there are two generals. A sword master and a warlock. These both match Felix and Annette. If you hack into the system and remove Felix and Annette from your roster, you will see them as enemies in that battle. They even have dialogue showing that they chose to betray Dimitri.
Annette didn’t want to betray her uncle and Felix hated Dimitri.
The dialogue shows that the developers had deeply thought about making Felix and Annette enemies. I thought that would be kinda interesting for the plot line.

In my play through, i switch him between assassin and dancer and his magic output was surprisingly great. It probably helped that i gave him a magic staff though
Felix kind of reminds me of Sasuke from Naruto. The dark blue and black hair. He's a sword wielder. His magic are both electricity based. His eyes are rly close to red and he's one of the best mortal savants in the game. Their personalities are very similar. Felix is probably my favorite unit in 3H. Great vid Mangs!! The only reason y I didn't watch it sooner is cause I've been busy with school. Keep up the great work mangs!! Ur one of the best FE UA-camrs. I can't wait to see you do a spotlight for Dimitri and Lysithea.
I always find Dimitri's ENTIRE story arc to be BASED on Sasuke's path in both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden minus the Five Kage Summit arc.
I'm really glad to see you get the information on his crests accurately, this time.
Felix is such an interesting character.
I LOVE 3 Houses! I love it so much that I made it a challenge to recruit EVERYONE that could be, and Felix is usually one of the last people that I can recruit, with the last being either Ingrid, Sylvain or Ferdinand.
I am also currently doing a FE1 run and it is kicking my tail. So, wish me luck Mangs!!!
From my experience Felix does get 15 extra damage when landing a crit. It adds the 5 might before the crit calculates.
I just love the way Felix looks at you angry and after a silent while he just says "No."
Seriously joking aside his design is awesome and his English voice actor did such a great job.
Yay Felix, one of my favorite characters and units in fire emblem
Felix has become one of my absolute favorite characters, right up there with Soren and Tiki.
Also did anyone else just give Felix thunderbrand? Not only is it really effective, it also looks insanely cool when he is holding it as an assassin along with aegis shield.
Nice Character Review. I always feel like Felix is a bit of a "stupid head" to be honest. But I do understand that he show a lot of hurt in his dialogues. Being someone who has experience the loss of a loved one, I can understand the feeling of wanting to be distant from others. I do think this character review does shed some light on his character. Also I do appreciate the trivia you give in these videos, makes looking into the lore of Fire Emblem all the more enjoyable. :)
Ok wait is the ending song a slow cover of Zebrahead's version of His World from Sonic 06 because if so... what
Congrats, you have made it so I am going to play through blue lions, again.
Felix is largely falls into that love-him-or-hate-him category. Most of it comes from the fact that, while he often does mean well, he SUCKS at making a point without sounding like a jerk. While this isn't necessarily bad, Mangs is not wrong about his early Supports having him sound like a someone being a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk.
-
That part aside, I really do love what Felix's character brings to the dynamic in the Blue Lions. He's more often than not right in the criticisms he makes of others (Dimitri and Dorothea being 2 solid examples) and a lot of his standoffish tendencies stem from the fact that most of his classmates lean heavily towards chivalric ideals which he finds aggrivating to say the least. Honestly, if they just dialed back some of his early jerkiness, he could have gotten 3 or 4 stars instead of 2 for Character.
A lot of people don't mention the interaction between Felix and Catherine's personal skills and getting hit by an enemy gambit.
Getting hit by an enemy gambit unequips your battalion temporarily, so you can't gambit back and you ALSO lose the stat bonuses provided by them.
This means Felix and Catherine are always stronger than usual enemy phase units because even when they get hit by a gambit, they don't lose all of their survivability (Felix can still hit hard and one-shot, especially if he has vantage, and Catherine might even have more defense without a battalion than she does with her battalion).
Felix is one of my favorites
Felix is basically a lot like Malik from the first Assassin’s Creed game. Like Felix, Malik is basically the rival esc character to the main character Altair as he calls him out for his Dickish behavior, which he is right as Altair basically violated the first tenet of their Creed by killing an innocent old man inside Solomon’s Temple. Altair also broke the second tenet of their Creed by drawing attention to himself before he struck. It was Altair basically defiling the third and final tenet of their Creed by exposing himself as an assassin to their enemy, a Templar named Robert De Sable. It was Altair’s selfish actions inside the temple that got Malik’s younger brother Kadar killed and he lost the use of his left arm to the point it had to be amputated. This caused Malik to be demoted from a master assassin to a desk job as a Rafiq in the Assassin’s Bureau In Jerusalem. He spends most of his time calling out Altair for being selfish, arrogant and idiotic. It was only before Majd Addin’s funeral that Altair apologized for getting Kadar killed and Malik losing his left arm. Although Malik rejects the apology, he too admits that he was a bit jealous of Altair. After he found out that their master Al Mualim was just using them so they can deliver the Holy Land to him, Malik decided to help Altair stop Al Mualim from enslaving everyone in the Castle of Masyaf with the apple of Eden. But just like Felix, Malik never got a happy ending. As Felix lost his wife Ingrid due to an uprising as well as the use of his sword arm, Malik was framed for the death of Altair’s second son by Abbas, a fellow assassin, and was later executed for such a crime.
Felix is such an interesting character to me and it's mostly because of his friendship and connections with people in the Blue Lions. His estranged and how the Faerghus 4 are trying so hard to stick together ensures that I'll always have a soft spot for him. His supports with Dimitri, Sylvain and Dedue are super nice though his paired ending with Sylvain in any route besides BL is super sad and you can tell how much the war hurts and challenges him more than a lot of characters through his monastery convos. I really think Felix and Mercedes are served really well by having so much of their characters wrapped up in major plot details like the Tragedy of Duscar and Jeritza. The writers did a really good job linking those things into the story and have that build the character's personalities and struggles instead of having the characters build up the events, if that makes any sense. Good job writing team.
His supports with Dimitri and Dedue is super nice????? How???? All I see is a guy yelling at someone and being mean.
@@lanalewis6982 Hmm maybe I shouldn't have used the word nice. They're really good supports because they're very good at showing his views on knighthood and confliction towards Dimitri. He doesn't hate Dimitri but he hates what he's seen Dimitri do and what he knows he's capable of doing and doesn't know how to deal with it. He doesn't hate Dedue but he hates the blind chivalry he represents and his blind loyalty to someone he sees as someone you shouldn't really have in charge of a country. Maybe interesting is a better word,. I honestly didn't mind Felix yelling at either Dimitri and Dedue because regardless of how much I love them they really do need a reality check on their problematic and enabling behaviors, something I think if Felix were a little more mature he'd be great at, which we see with his final support with Dimitri showing how much he's growing into the role already.
Felix any time your losing : ‘I can fix it’
I just realized. . . .
Felix and Severa/Selene are both Tsunderes(ish)
Felix is a tsundere confirmed
Want proof:
Look at Severa/Selene(Awakening/Fates)
* Supports
* Dialogue
* Mangs Video Review
* Profile
* Just look at her character design (Goddangit) Very few characters have twin-tails in their design that are not Tsunderes or Childish.
Those two have a lot in common when you think about it.
(Anyone else realizes this just now or after the video?)
Gemini true
@@airiin220 Which part?
Gemini Felix and Severa are Tsunderes
idk about the "hardest to recruit" part, in both my GD and SS runs, he was easier to recruit compared to Ferdinand and Lorenz for example, probably it has to do with Byleth's natural proficiency and quick rank growth with the sword. (and how easy is to bribe him with smoked meat)
He is technically the hardest to recruit, in the sense that his skill requirement is the highest at Swords B. But seeing as most players will train Byleth with swords it's pretty easy to recruit him. In the words of a let's player: "how dare you take Felix away from those people he hates"
Just found the channel and love this series! Do you plan on making a Dimitri spotlight?
The reason why Felix requires such high ranks to recruit is that those are ranks Byleth specifically should really be getting without trying anyway.
Also, unless I'm mistaken, the Crest of Fraldarius does not activate for Combat Arts such as Hunter's Volley.
Seteth and felix support was pretty good
I've had him as a warmonk since the expansion dropped and oh boy does he hurt
I made Felix a Dark Bishop once
H-Hear me out!
I did it so I could give him Lifetaker with renown in any future NG+ runs
I really like Felix. Probably my FAVORITE character in five houses. He remjnds me of Neji in Naruto
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't his support with Dimitri the only one that gives you an object Genealogy style? A sword of a great sword maker or something like that
Take a shot everytime mangs says "nihilistic".
Hmm I just realised... Felix and Shamir would be able to bond over their similar views. I wish they had a support with each other.
"Is Felix an edgelord?" Nah, just a Navarre.
He's a Spicy Sword, to put it in BDG terms
He’s way better than any Navarre tbh.
@@romitalia3088 Ah but Mia has tits.
@@kaelanmcalpine2011 Zihark's the Navarre of that game, though. Mia's never your enemy.
@@HollowGolem I thought I remember from watching SlimKirby that Mia did have to be recruited in PoR. Then again, wasn't really paying too much attention to it.
