I'd love to see one of these with a bleached bare "driftwood" finish. Wonderful playing as always - your solos are sublime, but you also play some gorgeous chords! 😎
I saw a band playing one of these live at a concert about a month ago. Knew it was a PRS, but had no idea what it. Now I know. Btw loved the tone and the intro. I have an American CE, so I may be slightly biased, but I really like the tone on these guitars! Still hope you could get PRS NF-3 from PRS to test someday. Oh btw I do the same on my CE. Mines actually been modded to the 24-08 switching and it pretty much lives in the coil split mode !
Definitely visually striking, and sounded good. I've seen other guitar brands do a sandblasting finish. PRS has done a very good job on the guitars I've seen so far. I usually don't like the bird fretboard inlays, but on that guitar they sort of work. I kind of wish a few birds continued on flying from the end of the fretboard onto the body. The white birds might look good in the black and white finish.
I got this guitar yesterday and I’d say yes! The fret ends are well rounded, the finish is satin, and the frets are spaced out closer than on my S-style guitars! I especially love the satin feel because gloss can be sticky sometimes
I strongly recommend modding the switching to give you the h-s or s-h options like an 24-08 has (with a second push-pull on the volume knob). I live in those spots on my 594, and while the lack of separate volume control on a two knob guitar lowers the variation a bit, still find them very useful in my modded custom 24.
That PRS NF53 in white dog hair pressed every single button for me. Chance of getting one = precisely nil. I do have an original NF3 though. Still, one can dream. The government hasn't figured out a way of taxing that.
I like the sandblasted look. Harley Benton has/had some guitars with that sort of finish, but I didn't want to deal with a super low cost (low quality?) guitar. But the PRS SE models are very good quality. Not sure I love it in black and white though. I find the black and blue or black and green or black and purple to be more asthetically pleasing (just my taste of course).
That “just tuned it” jam needs to be on my playlist. It’s got some delicious note choices. Might actually be the first time I’ve seen a PRS I could be tempted by.
I bought a new 2024 CE24, and the volume pot was quite loose with little resistance. Since I use my fingers for volume swells, I cut and placed a bit of felt under the knob.
I have a green one, looks and sounds amazing good, i onley change the tuners for black Gotoh locking tuners..... a budget dream for every poor guitarslinger! ♨️🎸♨️
If I wasn't so dead set on getting a PRS SE CE 24 with the turquoise maple veneer, I'd get one of these in red or green. I recently got an Iris Blue SAS SE after waiting 3 months on backorder. Unfortunately the tremolo bridge was set higher than Hunter Biden so I had to lower it down A LOT just to get it even somewhat playable, and the output jack came loose after only plugging it in once. I'm a little disappointed that PRS's QC and Sweetwater's 55-point inspection missed that. I wonder, did they even play it? But other than that I've been happy with it. I feel confident in getting another PRS SE, I'm just going to expect a minor flaw here and there instead of buying into the hype of PRS's QC and Sweetwater's 55-point inspection. Because PRS claims to check the imports before they're sent out, so that means it should've been inspected in Indonesia, in the US, and again at Sweetwater. I have a hard time believing that they all did their due diligence.
After two months playing i can say.... WOW! It plays and sounds more than good.

I loved the jam in this video

Your right....I have a Harley Benton Tele style guitar with the same finish...£158 🤭🤭
That was a damn fine. Jam, what do you say the neck on these feels like? Do they cater towards speed?

Now that's a Noife!
I’ve never used my CE without the coil split. Love that tone.
I have a DGT, and always use the coil split. The Humbuckers sound great, maybe too great... I just like the grittyness of single coils. Cheers.

I do have to admit, I don’t like the humbucker tones on the 85/15S but the split coil sounds are beautiful!
Great knife, migrant defense weapon and box opener.🐱Great playing John.
The S2 Standards are aces!
I thought white would look better. Red it is then! Great playing 👍
That's a Crocodile Dundee Knife right there 🔪
I immediately thought of the AW war black Suhr when I saw the close up of this. Different grain, but similar look.
Visually tempting

I’m getting Eric Johnson’s vibes in the demo. 🎸🙏🏽

I've got a Harley Benton 'cabronita style' telecaster with Gretch type pickups with the same 'sandblast' finish....

"what's a loose knob between friends"
I definitely want your unboxing machete 😂
It's the Predator Bowie. There are multiple sellers on Etsy.
If PRS had come out with this last year, I would have bought it over the DGT SE I got.
Isn’t the DGT pickups in a whole other league/sound ?
I would mean your DGT SE is a step above this one.
@@22duke Yah but I really like the looks of this one, and I could always switch out the pickups.
That finish is called "Ceruse"
Harley Benton TE-90FLT: "First time?"
John Nathan Voorhies over here…
would love it in other colors
I bought the purple one for my son almost 2 weeks ago. Rarely left his hands since! Wish I could post a picture.
At the very first sitar sound I closed the video
Be careful with that knife!!!
Desperation for comments leads this youtuber to juvenile (wank1sh) knife prank 😏
works, I guess 🙄
Well, I am a little disappointed by your small knife you used for opening the package. Don't you own a sword at least?
I wouldn't get another 24 fret guitar, because the neck pick never sounds right, because its not in the right place!
I wish they would pay as much attention to their custom 22 as they do the custom 24.
Agreed.
Lol what is "the right place"
@@jerryleokirkman9460they mean under the 24th fret harmonic, on 24 fret guitars u just wanna have the neck pu as close to the 24th fret as possible
@@jerryleokirkman9460 don't try and mock me when you don't know what you are talking about.. Do some research!
You might want to do a little research on how to sharpen a knife. Lol
Man that is one ugly guitar! Always hated the Birds compared to Dots. Great nut cutting is always paramount. And as always, superb playing John.
