What an amazing song to cover. This one felt like all the track 4's on the albums up to Justice combined. From the very sad intro, to the clean verses and heavy chorus parts up to the fast bridges and shredding solos, this one has it all.
I had a hard time playing this one straight through and had probably over 20-30 takes of each rhythm and lead guitar parts. Needless to say this one was a killer to cover. I also pushed myself to get this one done within a one week period, as I've never really played this one before until now. Yet again, Metallica proofs their ability to song writing and musicianship. They truly are the masters in their art.
A few mistakes was made here and there, but after the 20th take, I had to choose the best ones. These covers are always played live and to get the feeling and timing and emotional parts through to the audience is always a crazy task to achieve.
Hope you guys enjoy this one
Cheers

this was the first ballad i heard from metallica and my favorite
Guys 1:03 is played correct, this man is the goat
I know right???? Most covers on youtube are not played exactly to the recordings.
i always played it using open strings.
Never thought this song was such killer song.💚
I'm glad you played James' part at the correct octave at 2:40, most people replay the high octave from the intro here and it's highly noticeable, cheers 👌🎵
Best guitar cover i have seen my whole life....
Such Quality ! Well played !
Finally FIRST!!!! Great video btw mate keep up the good work!
10 out of 10, badass cover
Cool song, cool cover
Amazing 🎉
Metallica really love to spam the A minor Key don't they? lol.
Thats Fade To Black, Unforgiven 1 & 2, now this..hell, there might be more in this key and I haven't worked it out yet lol.
Great job all the same!
Fade to black is in bminor I think
@@micd4941 No its just 1 small section of like the main clean riff thats in B minor, most of it is A minor.
I just noticed the way you sit down with the Flying V shaped guitars
Perfecto
Fade to One
awesome tone man! love this!
wow
Do Halo on fire next! It's a very fun song to play plus Kirk's intro to the solo is simple it fucking amazing
Knap gedaan man! Regtig. 👌🤘
Epic
I enjoy that you play the song different from the original. Giving the song your flavor is one of the most enjoyable things on guitar covers. thanks for your awesome version of a great song!
What an amazing song... Awesome job! What amp setup are you using for the clear parts? I Love your videos ❤️🤘
Thank You. I make use of vst plugins for my recording, so here I Used Emissary Amp and Cab Sims. I slapped a chorus and and reverb effect on the clean parts using Cubase' built-in modulation effects.
@@FPGC Thank you! Keep up the good work 🤘
Класс! Молодец!!
Very good job men, sounds like orginal
This is awesome! Just found your channel, insta subbed! Do a cover of Sentenced Mourn and I will be forever thankful!
Nice!! Guitar Jackson model Js32 Kelly?
RR5
That's a RR5... The Kelly is a explorer esq shape.
Can you cover St. Anger? PLZZZZ!!!
Agree🙏
or Dirty Window
he covered St. Anger now
Nice cover but at the intro when the second guitar starts, you are off the tempo, too fast.
u totally fucked up the timings on that solo
man how does james play that and sing at the same time....... killer cover of an awesome song, congrats dude
I just realized that your V is above your legs
?
@@DankoHidalgo hard to play. You should sit your guitar to your knee. Otherwise you always have to use force to neck or higher edge of guitar
Best sound in decades from the band - great work on the cover!
Love this song. I play my chorus a tad different it seems. Starting on Am. Awesome rendition man! Keep it up
Dude cheers I like all your shit. You’re under-viewed like crazy. The videos with like hundreds of thousands of views don’t have this quality / your skill.
Thank you. This means a lot
Your covers really kick ass, François. These legato parts are perfects.
Oh yes! Thanks for listening to the suggestion
Amazing..🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
