    Wife and I did the shorter version. We’re older (I’m 65, she’s 58) but we managed 5 days of hiking (80+ kilometers) and the scenery was stunning. Put it on you bucket list, my friends.

    Fun video! We did the Dingle Way in 2015 and finished it in 2017. Amazing views and people! But you didn't do the Blaskets? You missed out, they are a great 1/2 day hike. Cheers!

    Hi, appreciate the videos and website information about this loop hike - and look forward to taking it sometime. Question, I'm not familiar w/ the area and can not locate a precise area, city, or village named "Ballygar" on the Dingle Peninsula. Is this perhaps a local name for something which on Google Maps, for instance, is described differently?

    Hi, thanks for the great films. How busy was the trail? I guess even more so now...
    Did you have problems with midges?
    We're in southern Spain, but this route looks tempting after we're done with the Camino...

      Hi Jeff,
      So we would meet meet maybe 10-20 other walkers a day during the summer. It’s not as busy as some of the Camino routes! The midges have just returned here, and are never fun 😅 because this is on the coast that helps a lot!

    Hi! In a few weeks I will travel to do the Dingle Way. I'm a woman, I will go alone and my intention is to camp. Do you think that area is safe for me? Thanks a lot!

      @ToughSoles  2 роки тому +3

      Yes, we definitely think it's safe and the only thing you really need to worry about are surprised cows!

    Hii, amazing video! I had a few questions. Where did you buy a map? Is it possible to wild camp along the trail (1 person tent)? :)

    • @ToughSoles

      Hi, thanks for your comment!
      So you can buy maps of the area - OSI maps (Ordinance Survey Ireland maps) and they have the trail marked. We also have maps to download for free on our website:
      toughsoles.is/maps
      As for camping, maybe? It depends on the section of trail. Theres a lot of privately owned farm land that the trail is allowed to pass through. The maps will hopefully give you a better idea of where it’s possible!

    Can you do this trail "free"? What i mean is are there places to camp that you don't have to pay a few to a land owner or campsite owner?

    • @ToughSoles
      @ToughSoles  4 роки тому +1

      Hi,
      I think it would be hard to do this whole trail for free. There are certainly a couple of places you could camp out, but I think it would be tricky to do the whole thing. There are quite a few camp sites which are usually €10 - €14 per person

    • @lughildana
      @lughildana 4 роки тому +1

      @@ToughSoles thanks for the info. The camping fee is actually cheaper than i thought so that's not too bad. Ive only gotten into hiking since lockdown so thought itd be way more

    • @ToughSoles
      @ToughSoles  4 роки тому +3

      I think the max we’ve paid for camping in Ireland is €18 per person, normally it’s very affordable! Fáilte Ireland publish “recommended rates” for campsites you use, which has details like If having a car is extra, if you’re tent is XL, etc..
      Anyway, I hope you have a great time hiking / camping! ☺️
