Thank you all for watching! Definitely check out my description box for LifeAt50&Beyond video as well. She did a fantastic job putting together the Washi tape and mine is a copy of that except that I used two shower caddy's and less baskets to make it hold other craft supplies and I did attach my sink mats to the shower caddy instead of hanging them to it! She was the genius behind using those sink mat to hold the baskets!
Love your tutorial - straight to the point, fast forwarding video when necessary, clear, precise and economical. Thank you for sharing with us. (I personally don't understand how there can be any thumbs down on this)
That's friggin great! I am not even a home crafting person and this really caught my attention. I'm a makeup and beauty supply hoarder. I'm so making something like this for my new apartment bathrooms.
Love this idea, thank you sharing it. Really like how you showed the project and then explained it. (I think that's what you did). Very well done. Could listen to you all day, your voice is perfect for this! Again Thank You.
I love this DIY! I plan to make one for my elementary music classroom to store mallets, picks, flash cards, and practice sheets so they're more accessible to my students. I think you're an awesome mom, too! Keep your ideas rolling!
I really loved what you made ! You can use this for more than my first choice craft ,polymers clays, yarns,so many things you just want space for . Great idea
You're so sweet and pleasant to listen to and watch. Nice that ppl can connect on things like this. bridging the gaps makes solutions more possible. As I was watching my mind started thinking of so many different applications for something like this!! Can't wait to get to a $$ Tree!!
I watched your video one day and went to the dollar store, bought supplies and made the organizer the next day. I will also be making several more. Awesome tutorial! It was very clearly explained and the video showed everything. Thanks!
I want to thank you for not drowning out your voice with music. It was a pleasure to hear what you were saying without struggling through the music. So many videos out there have horribly loud music and you can't hear the person speaking. You have it softly in the background and I appreciate that so much. Great job and nifty idea!
I am thinking, with a little tweeking of this project, it would make a perfect behind the door pantry for my kids snacks, seasonings and more. Thanks for the project
THANK YOU! I can sure use an item like this-to purchase and make for less then $10 and minutes of time a winner-GREAT IDEA-surely I will repeat for my household-thanks
Hi wow so when I saw your video I went to a dollar tree and went to buy all the supplies and made my organizer and I love it it makes my little sewing room look more organized. Thank you for sharing your idea
I think I will make this with just the dish mat and the baskets, and make a great spice holder for the inside of my cabinet... this will save me tons of space and make it way easier! Thanks for the video... Youre so sweet!
to be quite honest I was thinking what a good idea this was but I figured with all the supplies it would be about as much as buying an organizer. I have seizures and I can't get out to see the prices on things. so I looked online and to my surprise the shower caddies were only $1 the and so were the dish mats. thanks for the creative idea I love that! and I also really love the fact that it's such a bargain that I can customize to my own liking.🦋🌹
Penny Thatcher anytime someone says they went to the Dollar Tree and not just store, everything is a dollar, those baskets usually come in sets of 2 and 3 for a dollar!
EXCELLENT IDEA!! my crafting supplies are scattered in two different rooms ... but, thanks to your awesome idea; they will soon be congregated together!! YAY YOU!!! Thanx for sharing your idea!!
I'm a crafter that has to SEE where everything is located, really dislike having to search for what I need because it's hidden away ... this is perfect for me. Thank you so much for a great idea.
Anita Mitchell, I agree totally. Due to multiple health issues, I tend to forget what I have even bought, out of sight out of mind, so if I can see it then I don't forget it. Wonderful idea Crafting It Up and Creations thank you so much.
U really are one of the best hmm "craftyoutuber"/"teacher" here I've seen 😍👌🙏 Love that you film it all and then after describing what it is you doing 💙
Thanx for posting. Adding a strip of velcro adhesive on back of mats and door should keep it from sliding around. This is helpful if one will be using this on a door that will be frequently opened and closed.
Excellent storage idea. I'm gonna use it for some of my quilting supplies, thread, extra blades for rotary cutter and all kinds of notions. Thanks for sharing your ideas. God bless!
This truly is an awesome idea!! I’m going to be making 3, maybe 4-one (or two) for the bathroom, one for the kitchen, and one for by the front door. I have extremely limited counter space and storage space in the bathroom and the kitchen. So the bathroom one will be great to keep things both my husband and I use off the counter..or I’ll make one for me and one for him lol. For the kitchen, someone suggested using just one of the caddies on the side of the fridge or free wall space near the stove, and use it for spices and things like that. The one by my front door will be great for keys, dog leash, Mail... I’m very excited 😁 Btw, you said you were close to 500 subscribers..well, it’s 4months since you did this, and you’re at 37k. Now that’s success 😁
I have a ton of little things, like vitamin bottles, on my bedroom vanity sink counter. This will be the perfect solution to organize the mess. Thank you for sharing!
You did a great job. No apology needed at any point. We can understand you clearly which is a huge bonus! I love that you have edited your video. I appreciate all DIY videos posted but unedited ones tend to be harder to follow instruction wise. Keep this up cuz Im heading to Subscribe! Thank you!
Love your little * "tips*" especially the hair dryer used to get off the sticky labels. I never would have thought of it. . Actually I love all your crafty ideas from the $1.00 store !
Mitchalisia Hi., Great project for storage ! Whenever you have trouble removing a sticky tag, you can use a hairdryer or heat gun to warm the sticker up & gently start pulling a corner edge, when you meet resistance just use the heat to keep lifting the tag away ! & for glass if there's still parts of the tag & residue, just rub some cooking oil over it, let sit to soak in for 30 minutes or more, & you should be able to wash the residue off with a washcloth or a small scrub brush, whichever is more practical ! Tfs ! ❤😊
This just blew my mind! Absolutely love how budget friendly and space conscious it is. Going to build one for my daily body & hair care containers! Super excited!
Thank you so much for this video. This is brilliant. I'm a quilter and also bead. I have very limited space...this is a perfect solution for my many little bits to keep them organized! Blessings to you too!
Take a match or a butane lighter to the ends of the cut cable ties for a second. It melts it just a bit and creates a little bubble so that the edge is not sharp. Those cut cable ties can cut your skin right open. Love your accent by the way.
Can I say how much I love how you get to it! No blah blah blah about your channel & begs for subscribing, you just get to the project & I for one an SOOOOO grateful! Great job too😉
Best idea ive scene for shower caddie! I'm even going to do it that way for my shower! I've been looking for a more shower caddie! Might even do the whole rack for some craft supplies😄!
Kudos to you, what a great idea! I will be making one of these for my daughter who is heading off to college. I’m thinking of a stationary area- pens, pencils, notepads, tape, erasers then a first aid area with bandaids, OTC meds, ointment, gloves, cough drops and an arts and crafts area with a small sewing kit, tacky glue, small paint pots and brushes. Final thoughts are a snack area- granola bars, nuts, jerky and emergency chocolate along with powdered drink tubes, k-cups, sugar, creamer and hot chocolate. Thanks again and looking forward to enjoying your future projects!
Thanks! I made one for my kitchen and used small white buckets from Dollar General! :) I meant to add that to the end as well but couldn't find the picture I took to show it when editing!
Sheila Daves It's a great idea to put the buckle of the tie to the sides, but we could also install them with the buckle on the back or turned where the buckle is pointing down to keep from scratching fingers. Someone else mentions burning the ends to remove the sharp points.
Good morning I just love how you take inexpensive items and turn them in to a organizers. Ive been looking for a storage item for all my craft stuff and cant seam to find in a store bought organizer that I can use. But I can make one now thanks to you! I'll be looking at things a little differently on my next dollartree Hull. Thanks again 😍
I love walking through and looking at stuff after watching other videos. Some really inventive people think of even better stuff than this but you do have to watch if your supplies cost more than a store bought piece. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
Thank u so much. My grandson and i tried this. Its great. Hold all my curling and flat irons. He had more fun than i did. Will make two more for my bedroom.
Your video was both clever and relaxing. I can think of lots of great uses for something like this, sorting small tools, art supplies, crafts items, etc. Your accent is endearing. You made me smile. 😊
Thanks!! what accent? haha... I really do live in the middle of mountains... used to do directory assistance a long time ago and became aware very quickly how 'southern' I sounded especially to people from New Jersey and Pennsylvania :)
Thouroly enjoyed listening and watching you put this together. In my mind I can see so many things it can 've used for, ex: in the bathroom for make-up/ cosmetics and beauty supplies. Would be great in my sewing room. Think of all the colors of thread you could actually see in the baskets. No end of what it can be used for. Oh gosh, in the kitchen for spices!!!
Gladys.... Lady you're on a roll with your ideas!!!! I love the sewing room idea... I'm a quilter. Also the spice idea is great!! I hate having to dig back behind for something. I'm going to see what I can do to get reorganized better, cuz I just moved into a smaller senior apt. It's very nice but must use my space wisely. The whole concept is great. I already have the zip ties. So I could possibly do something for $5.00 or less. Before watching this, I've been putting things away thinking how can I make this work better. Now I know, at least in 2 rooms. Good luck on your projects! Blessings, L :)
Awesome Idea !! It is great for the person that crafts, the person that sews, for the pantry, or for organizing a bathroom. Ingenious and versatile !!/:) SUBSCRIBED !
Really cute and ingenious idea for dollar tree items. We crafters never have enough space. I'm always looking for something from one of my crafting categories, watercolor painting, jewelry making, paracord crafts, crocheting, sketching and drawing, home decor, gift wrapping etcetera and so on. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel recently. Keep it up your easy to listen to, not over detailed or unneeded repeated instructions that can often feel redundant when listening to others. But not you, I love your flow, your realness and that southern accent is so darn sweet. Much success to you my dear!
To get stickers like this off just use your hair dryer to blow hot air onto it and it will peel off perfectly. I use this on stickers like this and labels on boxes that are mailed to me😊
Great idea, thanks for sharing. Wow, your channel has grown a lot since last May. FYI, if you are watching this in January of 2018, I wanted to let you all know about two Dollar Tree finds you might like, I love them both: 1) Clear Soft Plastic Pocket with Dry Erase marker plastic, they are in the kid's school section and include a worksheet, math, writing, etc. They are made of clear fairly thick plastic you can write on with a dry erase marker, they have a brightly colored fabric sewn edge, I got all red and are 8.5 x 11, with a hole in the top for hanging. It was just what I was looking for to store various things for current projects that I'm working on. I also use a wrapped shirt gift box for some things or bulky items but these are great and keeps my reserve or whatever I need in plain view. Right now I have my base cardstock leftovers in one, my paper collection leftovers in another, fairly flat embellishments I made so far for the project in a third. I think this will be excellent for my papercrafting and even some of my jewelry making. They also had dry erase markers, took a while to find them though. I bought 2 kinds, the small ones with the little eraser at the end work best! I wouldn't get the other ones. 2) I also discovered yesterday that they still had a line of products (sorry, I forgot who made them) of Kraft & Gold foil papers, sentiments (these also include gloss white & Gold foil), mats, and even tags and tiny mini-albums, and Kraft banners too. They are very nice and for a dollar, you can't go wrong. Another storage idea (who knows maybe a dollar store has these too?), I had a heavy duty metal pants hanger, the kind that has 3 or 4 metal rungs that have 2 clips on each, they slide right to left and can be used for many items, not just clothes!. I use them to store my Scan-N-Cut mats and will buy another one for the above plastic pockets. Each clip is coated with plastic too. Happy crafting. I just subscribed, look forward to more helpful suggestions. God Bless!
You may know this, if you don't know it, a bit of advice, when taking off stickers left on an item we buy from the store or garage sales, anywhere you can use this tip. Take a hair dryer and hold it sort of at an angle and careful to peel the sticker off. Careful not to burn yourself.
I saw this video some months ago and was unable to watch so I stuck it in my watch later folder. Thanks for posting love the idea and I will definitely will be making. Great project for me and my granddaughter to do together.

God Bless!
Great idea 💡 and tutorial ‼️I just subscribed ‼️👏🏼
You may know this, if you don't know it, a bit of advice, when taking off stickers left on an item we buy from the store or garage sales, anywhere you can use this tip. Take a hair dryer and hold it sort of at an angle and careful to peel the sticker off. Careful not to burn yourself.
Oh nice thank you!! I think someone else told me heat gun or hair dryer for something else I had too! Thanks for watching also!!
I use lighter fluid to remove the sticky stickers, smelly, but works very well!
Also rubbing alcohol should take adhesive off it dries it up 😀
nanalovesyou nana thank you I always have a problem with them

This is great! You've explained everything very clearly, Thank You for sharing this!
i lime your take on the organizer. you probably could do another one for your door and hook them together for more stability ... two thumbs up from me
thank you and thanks for watching!
If you clip them with toenail clippers you can cut them much closer and they won't scratch.
thank you! ❤️🥰
new subbie. like your ideas and voice...
This could work great in an RV on the inside of a cupboard door, without the shower organizer for extra storage. Great job!
