This is beautiful footage. The key that you have labeled as Harbor Key is actually Sunset Key, formerly named Tank Island. The island just to the right of it in your video is called Wisteria Island. My life's goal is to have a house in the Keys so that I can enjoy all of this beauty up close and personal. Been to Key West nine times so far. The drive down, from Key Largo to Key West is amazing. The farther you go, the prettier everything gets, especially the water. ❤
We sold a second home in Saddlebunch in November 2006. The real estate market crashed about 18 months later and for several years we congratulated each-other on our wise foresight. Now the values have shot up _sooo_ much that it has made us look uber-stupid!! _C'est la vie._
i was just staying in a house in summerland with my 2 brothers and parents because my parent are down for 1 month but me and my brothers were down for 10 days on our way down we took off from bwi and landed fll on our way home fll to bwi.
Very nice and cinematic video mate! Let me ask you a question, did you use any post-production software before you uploaded it to UA-cam? Did you know that you can't fly anywhere in Keywest which is not the lower keys. Shark Key is located less than 7 miles away so you're very close to restricted airspace if this was shot in Shark's Key! Also, Pigeon Key is not in the Lower keys FY! The only reason why I know this is I own property down in Key West and I have to drive North to fly my Mavic Pro or my Geofencing on my DJI GO 4 APP will not let my sUAS take off & AIRMAP APP which is a great app and can be a very handy tool. I also use Airdate UAV to keep track of when I need to have to do maintenance on my drone and when I need to change batters etc.. Basically its a flight logger and tells you what all need to be repaired, its like i mentioned above its your black box sort of speak.
I'm guessing things were different when I flew these flights for the video compared to now with regards to airspace, restrictions, etc. I was careful not to go near any airport, and sorry about the mis-labelling I did the best I could at the time but obviously got some wrong!
I have traveled to many islands and exotic places and always wanted to live right next or on the ocean....but after seeing what hurricanes are capable of....and one will probably come along every 10 or more years...a bad one at least....Idk!! it's scary. This video and the Keys are gorgeous.....but it's already laying right on the water...looks like a good storm could cause damage let alone a major hurricane!! God bless these people and their beautiful homes but I'm thinking, for my family, it would be a better place to visit or have a condo than to stay full time!! I hate to say it!! Although I live in TN and am not crazy about our weather all the time....we basically have to great....for the most part...NO BAD WEATHER...other than a few minor cold spells during winter...maybe I SHOULDN'T LOOK A 'GIFT HORSE' IN THE MOUTH!!
This was an older drone, so it would go about a mile away, my newer one goes 2+ miles and the Mavic 3 that just came out can go 5+ miles I read. The technology keeps getting better!

My bad on the labelling, this was 6+ years ago and a difficult project at the time since I was relatively new with flying drones at the time!!
The drone's view of the keys is impressive. It made me homesick and wish we had never left Tavernier (lower Key Largo)

What is the highest and farthest will a drone operate from ground controller?
With my Mavic 2 about 2 miles but the Mavic 3 which is out recently even has more range. Www.DJI.com.
