This is called harmony ..the two greatest women singers in POP music ,creating the legendary "third Voice "
The blonde ,Agnetha Falskog is recognized as having a Pitch Perfect B2 - F7 range the widest range in POP music in over 40 YEARS .
They were the one true INTERNATIONAL group. this song is an inspirational song. It will lift up the spirit.

ABBA is one of the most popular groups in music history, second most in selling albums in the world after The Beatles. Goat in pop I would say. They have got a plenty of superhits from the years 1974-81 and some last years aswell actually. The have not got one song who sounds like the other, plays different styles. They have got many influences in the music - I have heard pop, rock, theatre, disco, amazing ballads with a lot of drama, hymns, ”folkmusic”, reggae, etc. In this magnificant song I do hear polka. In my favorite complex song I do hear more groovy and romantic style - its called The Name Of The Game. They did sing in 5(!) languages Swedish, English, German, French and Spanish. In Europe, Australia and Latin-America they where huge with many number 1 hits. The Spanish version of Chiquitita was for example number one i Mexico in 32 weeks and 10 number 1 albums in Great Britain. The theatre and movies Mamma Mia are amazing aswell. Well - it is a lot to say and to discover with ABBA if you choose to do so! Good Luck!

"Chiquitita" was recorded in 1978 and released in January 1979 and is from the album " Voulez-Vous " . Chiquitita is Spanish for the phrase “very little girl” or “little one”. They have tons of hits and a massive following . Thank you for doing this one Mia . You are nearly a shark ! . Abba was/is a great band. My fave is Dancing Queen which is a classic dance song. It's the kind of song when it's played at a party, everyone gets up to dance, a real banger. (Similar, in that respect to EWF's September)

This is one of favourite ABBA tracks, you pulled me in by posting it. They had a string of monster hits in the 70s and 80s, all pretty good catchy tunes, though some of them deal with darker subjects in their lyrics, heartbreak and separation for example. Another favourite of mine is The name of the game, just a suggestion to carry you forward.
I work in a record shop and I can attest that no matter what musical genre someone loves ABBA is almost always included. Metal, Hip Hop, Electronic, Alternative Rock, Country….ABBA is loved by music lovers.

Despite loving Queen, the first Music i ever heard was a Song by ABBA. It was the Start of my Music-loving Life. I had a small yellow Cassette Recorder (in the 70's) and listened to ABBA songs 'til it fell apart... 🎶

Chiquitita" means 'little girl' (with affection) in spanish And the melody have a spanish tune, specialy by the acustic guitar But the center is the wonderful piano, like akmost all ABBA songs

'Chiquitita' ( dear little one )....an older women helps a young girl who is sad due to a breakup with her boyfriend (su novio).....this is a song many Spanish mothers sing to their daughters......by the way, Abba does a version in Spanish that is sung perfectly....

This was music back in the seventies natural pure singing no auto tune to where they had machines to make them sound better all natural.

As a kid, ABBA were kind of dismissed as highly successful - but not at all credible - Europop. That acclaim (inevitably due to my own nostalgia) has come much later. Their hit single rate in the domestic UK (my country) was enough almost to justify honorary Brit status.
