Thank you so much. I wasn't brave enough to take the front panel off. However, thanks to your advice about the sensor being flooded, I took the bottom panel off and tipped the machine forward (as it's free-standing). Loads of water poured out and voila! - the flashing warning lights disappeared and the washing machine worked like a dream! You've saved me a fortune in repairs. Thanks again! 😊

Your video is great. Thank you. The Miele manual is useless.

Many thanks for your straightforward advice which was simple apart from moving an extremely heavy washer out and in of a tight spot. Saved me at least £150 Miele service call. It's disgusting that something so simple isn't listed as a fix in the Miele handbook or mentioned on the telephone call I had this morning before I looked at u tube! This isn't the first time I've fixed a washing machine following simple u tube advice either so it just shows how manufacturers are prepared to rip off their customers. Keep up the good work!

A friend and myself fixed her Miele Novotronic Premier 500 by pulling the machine out and tipping it back. It had quite a bit of water on the bottom of the machine. Error code cleared. Thanks very much!

I believe you have an internal leak that is dripping down and topping up the ‘catch all’ bottom mounting plate. The fact that you cleared the fault vu tipping the unit up and draining it to the kitchen floor, then allowed the flood float switch to reset.

It's the waterproof system (WPS), which has detected an internal leak and stopped the machine.

Unbelievable. As the other comments say - Miele should tell people that. If I knew where you lived I’d offer to buy you a pint.

Excellent video for a (short term?) solution to what is probably a leak or other fault in the system. Perhaps if it is just a very very slow leak the machine will be ok for some time. I did this exact repair for my Miele W3204 (UK based) machine. I had replaced the rubber seal some months ago and I can say they are not that generous with space so trying to tighten one of the hose clamps was challenging (fault?). This was from another excellent youtube video - what would be do without them? 🙂. Really great job Jolyon. Incidentally does anyone know how to get a Hoover dryer to go back to manual mode? Once I set up the app the manual mode does not work so if the internet is down we can't use the dryer! Progress!!

Check out the “where the leak came from” video and all is revealed…..something else broke on it and I gave up fixing it.

You forgot to remove the filter end can and check it.. That water must have been coming from the base of the machine which would mean a leak triggering the float switch

You have a leak...... Dripping down on to the base pan and float switch has put up a fault light.

There is a split in one of the rubber parts internally. I show this in another video "Where the leak came from..." ua-cam.com/video/FB8inaHmTOw/v-deo.html
