University Hospital's LVAD Celebration of Life - Dec. 2, 2021

University Hospital's Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) gives patients with end-stage heart failure a new lease on life through the use of a mechanical pump that helps circulate a patient's blood when their heart is no longer able to do so. University Hospital is the first and only facility in our region to provide this life-saving procedure, which has helped nearly 100 patients since the program began in 2017.
