Great video.. interesting about the bars being closed at times, can imagine they cld be quite sketchy when there's a big Atlantic swell and outgoing tide.. Poor Dolphin .. I wonder what caused him to be isolated. Bonne année.
Wonderful video. I kind of feel sorry for the confused dolphin. I hope he finds "relief" among his own... Beautiful scenery and I liked the anchoring so near the city. Happy New Year to you both, looking forward to every video from you.
Thanks for stopping by, appreciated! If you hit the bell icon you'll be notified when we release a new video :) We also felt very sorry for the last dolphin, clearly exiled from a pod and seeking attachment with other sentient beings. In an effort to discourage wildlife tourism and him becoming famous, we concealed his location.sadly, that only tends to end up going one way for the animal. Many thanks, and Bonne année to you too!
Trying to shoe-horn something about a "lack of cetaceous consent" but ma brain's no working. 😁 Quite the culture shock with urban environment right there. Another fine episode. Happy New Year! ✌
Hello! Yup some big currents around there, we got lucky going in and out, however they did close the bar whilst we were at anchor. No we made do with our solar shower on board 😎
@sailingmaalie we went to a Aveiro. It's a real safe anchorage. Didn't wanne do night trips because of the orcas and traps. Still got tangled in 2.. so easy.
@Sailorboynumberone we did exactly the same! We entered just after sundown , v easy approach. Likewise, we stuck to the advice hugging the shallow ground and day-hopping. Next time will take the offshore route I reckon!

Next video will be all about this, as we have two 40knot snorters go through. Yup, sad for the dolphin - hopefully he finds some pals soon. HNY!
Well done, great video
Hey Matt, thanks for saying so. Your new hard dodger is looking great by they way!
