Brooklyn’s Beloved Thai American Diner

- The story of Little Grenjai in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn begins when Sutathip “Pias” Aiemsaard and Trevor Lombaer matched on Tinder. Trevor, a line cook, was traveling through Thailand and matched with Pias, who grew up near Bangkok. The couple fell in love, got married, moved to Brooklyn, and opened a Thai restaurant focused on fresh and traditional ingredients. And the rest is history. Little Grenjai is known for its Krapow Smash Burger, and its take on Thai classics like Pad Thai and Khao Soi.

This felt honest.
What an amazing couple. Truly respect the communication they seem to have. That’s not easy. I bet their love shows up in the amazing looking food. Wish I could try the restaurant…I’m on the wrong coast. Cheers you two…you have such a lovely amazing vibe.
Got to eat lunch there one random Sunday. It was a scene. Groups having fun. Enjoying the food. I was eating alone. The owners were as sweet and chill as you see in this video. Talking about how excited they were to offer Thai ice tea cake - which was freaking amazing by the way.
thai ice tea cake sounds fricking delicious i have to come here
That egg that went with the burger shows how real this place is.
Honestly loved this video as a thai person myself I think it’s quite the bold claim saying Samut Sakhon has the best food but I’m very bias. Wishing this couple all the best, the restaurant looks amazing. Excelsior!
This was such a good story. Loved hearing about their journeys. Wonderful. Shine on!
they are so cute, lowkey had a tear in my eye in the end when they showed those martini tats:,)
They are so cute and the food looks amazing! to people the found each other and their destiny! So beautiful!
Not the doggo with the "Yeah... I just dropped a big ol' Duece!!! You know... I'm quite proud of it" face at the end! Not that! 😄
Not gonna lie, my heart skipped a beat when I saw that pad thai with that pork... holy crap!
These two are SOOO sweet together!!!!! I love their, "Martini cups"!
Beautiful couple, wish them a lifetime of success. I’ll definitely be checking this spot out 🇹🇭🏆
Best one yet
So real brings hope to us single foodies
I wish I could taste their food!!! Blessings to this couple!!❤🙏🏼😊
I know where I'm going to eat next time in Brooklyn. Good Thai food is a blessing.
This looks amazing. When back in BK I am def bringing my wife there.
Thank you Munchies. This was inspiring to see to young people work at making their future together. Borrowing the words of Frank... "if you can make here you can make it anywhere."
The American dream. Amazing story
Super, the Thais are really amazing people. Love the country, the food, and the people.😊😊
"If I had to open another restaurant, I would not do it with anyone else." Dang that was so cute.
This was so easygoing, so light. Loved this.
When he say “no short cuts “ . Then, he shows his method of traditional Thai cooking. As a Vietnamese, i can appreciated their dedication.
not only amazing food, but amazing people! best of wishes to them from Norway!
lao culture has the same concept of “grenjai” or “geuanjai” in lao. it’s funny cause i assumed she was using it from her perspective to the customers, but it makes sense the other way around. my understanding is that its used to be kind & considerate in how others do things.
The food looks fire!
little grenjai was my most memorable meal of the summer!!!
really awesome story. we all support you both!
That Khao Soi looked ridiculous! Can't wait to go back to Thailand.
i probably cant eat half the stuff there but it sure looks incredibly delicious and makes the food Im eating rn taste even better xD
This was inspirational! More please.
The very best!! I live in Australia but my wife and i have been going to NYC every year for the last 10 and Little Grenjai was the coolest find in recent memory. Lovely people too

Will be hard for them to compete against SriPraPhai though. SriPraPhai is even better than what you can get in Thailand.
Arent those sweet basil leaves on burgers?
Good thing that’s it wasn’t a green card story
what's his accent?
He's from Chicago. But his accent isn't too thick, though.
classic white guy
Great food! However, gardeneria is not from chicago! It's Italian.
👍🏿
More vegan options please 🙏
That's all you have to say 😅🤦♂️
Krapow burger…. Yup only in hipster America
So proud of you guyyyyys 👏🏻 all the hard work has paid off beautifully✨🫶🏻
It's thin and stuff. But is that really a smash burger? Where's the lacy edge?
A lot of people have allergies to things like shrimps, hope you at least warn them about your burgers.
If it's their allergy, shouldn't they be the one to mention it? Especially if they're about to eat thai food.....
We match wary cwqickryyy
me love you long time
Nothin personal but I bet these two get angry with each other a lot
I stopped after carrots on a burger
You miss out
Why didn't she take your/his last name?
Does she need to?
Because she's not a prehistoric slave.
Quicker option to get green card and leave him
Because she's a dragon lady and most white men love harsh asian women...
In Brooklyn? Then we know its overpriced as SHIT.
Ah so they'll go out of business then?
$14 per meal doesnt sound too bad for what theyre showing tbh
That burger is 11$
@@Biring1 I mean that's what you spend at fastfood these days and they showed it served with some kinda side chips so i'm down
@@TsunamiWombat Fries are 6$ extra
I feel sorry for that guy.
?
His wife treats him terribly
@@redcomet0079lol what?
@@nickthaskater *“lOL wHaT?”* 🧠🚮🤤
Did you even watch the video, junior? 🙄
@@redcomet0079 I'm 38, thanks. Yes, I did. They seem like a great, high-functioning couple. What part of the video implies she treats him poorly?
I remember you girl, since Glow Time in Bangkok . ประทับใจมากที่เห็นน้องทำคลิปวีดีโอนี้ ขอให้กิจการเจริญรุ่งเรืองขึ้นเรื่อยๆ นะคะ
Love this
