Great to see you back, fantastic video
Awesome video Phil, thanks for sharing
Good stuff. Appreciate the feedback on the shinemate polishers.
Came out amazing as always
Amazing video as always Phil
Another great video Phil definitely ,always full of useful tips and tricks. Hope you and everyone are having a great weekend .
Thanks 👍
Phil, you and Jess did a premium job enhancing the Corvette's PPF. I have three polishers that still are in working order. When one of them no longer functions, I will replace it with a polisher that you recommend. Thank you,
Thanks so much!! 😎👍🏼
@@MirandaDetailing Phil, just curious why you chose the ShineMate? So many polishers out these days, with about 5 new ones dropping since SEMA, what drew you to the ShineMate. I personally feel like the price is great compared to some other that are 2-3x the price.
Hi. So I was sent these polishers to try out. I still love my SPTA cordless polishers and basically use whatever I find works for us. I like to show different options and let people decide for themselves. @@AMP8424
As always brother, great content. Always a pleasure when one of your videos are released I wait for them weekly 🙌
Thanks man! 😎👍🏼
You two did a beautiful job as the PPF was dripping gloss again. The Fusso is awesome stuff and the Vette will feel faster going down the straights. Great tip on the pad washer and the PPF polish by Gyeon. I would have done the exact same thing.
Thanks! 😎👍🏼
I've heard good reports about the Shine Mate Polishers Phil , they are the best you can get from China! Will rival the best of all the European power tools like Flex and Rupes!
Yeah they are great polishers!
I am a new detailer. I watched your content due to you reviewing the Shinemate and you said you have the SPTA. Do you have cordless SPTA polishers? I'll probably be buying corded DA polishers due to my budget. Have you used Griot Garage or Maxshine? The Corvette turned out very nice. Thank you for your content.
Hi. Welcome aboard. Yes we use the SPTA cordless primarily. They are our favorites right now.
If you watch our videos for the last 4 years you will see us use them.
Here is our latest!

That fusso coat is such a badass product. This is the ONLY THING that outlasted tw seal and shine
Man, what a great difference ! Great video, Phil, and it makes me feel good that down that down the line, I now know the option for my PPF. Keep up the great videos, the music choice, what great as well.
Thanks so much! 😎👍🏼
Another great video Phil! The car looks amazing. Thanks for the polisher information. I am looking to purchase a battery polisher and will. definitely keep ShineMate polishers in mind.
Thanks man!
Been recovering from the transplant all Summer and fall so I haven’t been commenting as much but I wanted to say I dig the recent stuff you’ve added in your videos and I miss chatting with ya big guy!
Welcome back! Hope you’re recovering well!
The corvette turned out really nice and I learned something about ppf, thanks Mr and Mrs Phil 👍😁
Thanks man! 😎👍🏼
I had a red z06 like that i did this year. polished the ppf with rupes yellow polish and pad, came out good! topped it with Mohs
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I'm thinking about getting the Milwaukee M18 polisher since I already have the drill set
I’ve heard others say it’s great.
Amazing results and thanks for sharing how you tackled this specific problem. Do you think the soft99 could have machine applied with a smaller polisher like the 3inch? Similar to how you used to apply wax with that little palm held battery-powered applicator?
Hi. Thanks! Yeah you can totally use a small 3In polisher and machine apply. I wanted to just hand apply it and and see how the stuff feels. 😎👍
Just heard about Shinemate polishers recently from Parks Car Care and their 15mm DA might be my next purchase.
logo look great 🤩
Looks great!
Thanks!
I have the 15mm DA Milwaukee I like it, do wish I’d be smoother but I’m just a diyer this will maybe be used once a year
Awesome video and content/tutorial good friend
Awesome Video!
Thanks man!
Nice. SPTA and Adam’s Swirl Killer Cordless Polishers are still going strong.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Have you ever used Superior products Dark Fury for prewash and wheel and tire? I also use it on door jambs diluted about 1:20. It's very reasonable and I've found it safe and it's quite impressive on prewash and wheels and fender wheels etc...
The cordless power have some decent grunt? I have Griot's g8 and g9 and a porter cable 7424XP and I long for more power when trying to buff out deeper scratches.
Hi. I haven’t used the Superior products yet. But I have heard they are great. I’ll give them a try at some point. Yeah the shine mate and the SPTA cordless polishers are powerful. I even use them for paint correction most times.
I plan to pick up either the spta v2 polisher or the shine mate. Which polisher do you recommend? I notice in many videos after this one I see you using the spta polisher still majority of the time? Should I go with the spta v2? Please lmk. Your opinion means a lot! Thanks!
Hi. We still use the SPTA more often. The Shine mate is great but its batteries have a weird issue when you charge them and leave them in the charger they die. They have to be charged and then taken out when done. It sure if it’s just mine but I have gone through 2 chargers already and have the same issue. The SPTA polishers can use Makita batteries. So I bought OEM Makita Batteries and a double charger and love them!
Nice video! I'm looking for a good 3in now and a good deal for Black Friday 😂
Awesome! 😎👍🏼
hi I really like that shinemate is not very popular so I can find it at a good price in Carzila. I have the 620 6'' with 5'' backing plate I can tell you that it's a monster
If I remember correctly, you didn't want to polish PPF or any type of wrap before. I like seeing detailers grow, and I also learn from you guys. Keep up the good work and content. Thank you
Yeah I was always careful about over polishing vinyl and PPF. I would do it but always cautioned people about over heating.
Good stuff Phil.
its not about the its not about the and wifee laughs! classic"
🤣. That’s my wifey! 🤣😎👍🏼
A Sunday video! Great turn around. Phil is a water spot remover too harsh for PPF?
Hi. Thanks! It depends on the product. Ones from Gtechniq and Gyeon are designed for coatings so they are not extremely strong and they are safe for PPF. but I have used others like the 3D water spot remover and it’s really strong and could cause some issues on PPF.
@@MirandaDetailing Always appreciated. Thanks.
Shinemate polishers are great, the cordless ones and the corded ones probably one of the best out there.
Definitely! 😎👍🏼
Hey Miranda, which reasonable price portable steamer you recommend
Hi. I have seen detailers use this one and they like it amzn.to/46riRcp
But this would be a better quality option. www.carsupplieswarehouse.com/products/mr-100-primo-steam-cleaning-system
Looks good Phill and can you put a coating on PPF ??
Hi. Sure can. We do it all the time. There are PPF specific coatings also but regular coatings can be applied on PPF also.
ua-cam.com/video/WdMWOgVro2c/v-deo.htmlsi=l_IvvIeCamWKYrYE
Nice work, how do you like the little Shinemate polisher ?
I love it. Plenty of power and nice ergonomics.
Amazing video as always my brother! Informative and satisfying! 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Bro!
What speed did were u using on the polisher?
It depends on what I’m doing. But usually speed 5-6
Car looks pretty good. Hey! I like your new business logo. Looks good.
Im not a lover of PPF. Everytime you touch it, its big money.
Thanks for video! Hi wife.
Thanks! 😎👍
Sooooo informative!! Thank you!
Thank you!!😎👍🏼
One thing I never notice is anyone clean behind the spokes. Maybe it's a waste of time to some since you can't see it.
Hi We do, only if we are remove the wheels because its difficult to reach and clean properly without seeing what you're cleaning. ua-cam.com/video/OmGXY31dXsc/v-deo.html Removing wheels for, our business, is an additioanl service that can be added on for an additional charge.
Like life EVERYTHING has trade-offs. Ppf's trade off it protects paint but lower quality ppf shows its age
👍🏾💯
