Question: I know somebody who learned this, and decided he could hurt somebody else without consequence, “Because it’s all a game and her consciousness needed to learn the consequences of my negative actions. We made a contract that I would be the perpetrator and she the victim so she could learn and I could learn that darkness.” Ewwwwwww, that is so incredibly warped! But, how would you respond to this because you’ve basically given people carte blanche to mistreat one another.

Thank you 🙏🏻
Nothing exists outside of Shiva. Just as the "on" and "off" switches in a network create thousands of illusory forms for us, Shiva, through Maya, perpetuates these illusions. This is akin to the relationship between a mirror and the reflections we see within it. While they appear distinct, the reflection cannot be separated from the mirror. There is no existence beyond Shiva. The only difference between Shiva and Jiva (the life force) is that souls are subject to temporary delusion, a veil cast by Shiva's dynamic power. Shiva orchestrates this as a divine play (lila), for his own delight (ananda). The play concludes when the soul, freed from its shackles, unites with Shiva, like a drop returning to the ocean.
"Self-effort is of two categories: the past births and that of this birth. The latter effectively counters the former. Fate is none other than self-effort of the past incarnation. There is constant conflict between these two in this incarnation, and that wich is more powerful triumphs. Self-effort which is not in accord with the scriptures is motivated by dilusion. When there is obstruction in the fruition of self-effort one should examine it to see if there is such deluded action." I have one question that has always made me confused. If everything is the divine play of the supreme consciousness including good and bad things, then why should humanity follow certain rules of dharma? Isn't dharma and adharma equally valid when it is the same ultimate consciousness generating them? Then why the bias towards dharma alone?
Dharma is defined simply as 'Truth' in Upanishads. The more we live our lives by the truth, the more we move towards truth and God, the more we live in Adharma, we move away from truth and into delusion. Suffering happens naturally when we move away from truth. Because the Truth is Oneness, love and bliss. If one chooses to move away from love, they experience lack of it.
@@adhvaitha In bhagavad gita, krishna exhorts arjuna to fight on behalf of dharma for the pandavas against the adharma of the kauravas. But the first adharma on the pandava side in the war is committed by the pandavas by krishna and yudhishtra into deceiving drona that ashwatthama is dead. Although one can argue that this is drona's fruit of past actions like killing of abhimanyu in a cowardly way, does this mean that adharma can only be defeated by more adharma? This is in stark contrast to ramayana where rama upheld dharma by advising ravana to leave the battlefield to rest and come back the next day when he is able to fight him properly. So what is the unchanging moral stance by which we have to live our lives by? Or does ends justify the means as long as adharma is vanquished?
@@adhvaitha I would prefer to focus on 'this-worldly' elements of it. Choice to do actions now (gross and subtle). But I would like you to defend 'the victim blaming part of karma' systematically in a separate video. Because serious allegations can be made against Karma.
@@Noone16913 Ego is the process by which we identify ourselves with our material body and react to the material world preferring certain outcomes while shunning other outcomes of our actions. So yes, letting go of the ego and doing your duties without any sense of attachment to the results of your actions, good or bad, will eventually lead you to supreme consciousness.
@@amazingcalvin how to let go of your ego then I'm pretty sure the answer is going to the Himalayas and meditating for 60 years but I don't wanna do it p.s: its practically impossible
@@Noone16913 It is completely possible to do this without going to Himalayas and meditating for 60 years. If you did that, you won't be doing any work at all so you would be doing "dhyana yoga". The most famous example of someone attaining liberation by doing "karma yoga" is King Janaka, the father of Sita in Ramayana. Being a king and having power over an entire kingdom and having a lot of wealth at your disposal would tempt most kings to live a life of decadence and for the most part they did. But Janaka did not. He recognized his duties as a king and did not attach any expectations to the result of his duties. It's a completely different question of whether you can't do it or don't want to do it.

Because of our Karma/our attachment and identification with the ego.
