Jivatma is created from the illusion of the body such as memory, emotions (vasanas and samskaras which are in manomayakosha and pranayama kosha)..... Now the question is, How did the first being created without jivatma? As I mentioned earlier the jivatma is created after the being get to the illusion that he/she is the body and mind..... It’s my experience that Hinduism is a complex religion made complicated by various teachers with contradictory and conflicting interpretations. Thank you for suggesting a sequence of approach to studying. It’s very helpful. I find it overwhelming to study so many different texts, while carrying out a busy routine life. I was suggested that I should start with Bhagvad Gita. With so many different versions, I found it confusing. Akin to developing lactose intolerance while drinking too much milk, like most Asians who are genetically intolerant to dairy products 😢 To make matters worse, there are parallel studies of Dvaitha, Visistha advaitha, dvaitha-advaitha etc, etc……. No wonder the religions with single books have become more appealing than the religion of the “library” There needs to be another Sankaracharya or Vivekananda to simplify matters for simpletons like me.
