I really liked the Flying Vs this week, but to be honest, I'd rather just buy a cheap, beat up used one and have it professionally refinished. It would come out to half the price while still being a "real" Gibson. I paid $800 for a good condition 2012 V a couple of years ago, so I could probably have a metallic blue or sparkle V for around $1400-$1500 all in.
Yeah I could go for a beat up one but I believe it beat up just for its history

I Love the channel! I watch almost every video the day it is posted, you have educated me so much on vintage Gibson guitars!
Strange thing though, this is the 2nd week in a row where I watch your mod video, while simultaneously on Gibson's site in another window. The guitars you are showing are no where to be found. Today I found only 3 of the 15 guitars you showed from the mod shop... The plot thickens because I do see other guitars in the mod section of Gibson's site but they are totally different ones that you are not showing! On my screen right now there are only 10 guitars in the mod shop and like I said I see 3 from this video but the other guitars I see on there site are not the ones you are showing and most of the ones you are showing I don't see on the site! I know this has nothing to do with you but its driving me crazy lol! Any idea how this is happening?

I believe that some of the names of the guitars has an effect on how they're perceived. Baked Pomegranate and Regal Eggplant chase people away. I'm honestly surprised the orange sparkle 345 hasn't sold yet. That's killer

All beautiful, but the Red Firebird and the 2 SGs YES, YES, YES !! I would never give those 3 away unless I really had too. Them babies are bad!!!
The Pelham blue Demo and the two right after really caught my eye.
Im still praying for a gibson custom in red sparkle without the pickguard and cream/white plastics.
OMG the Satin Purple Racer ES-335 is the most beautiful 335 (to my eyes 😄) that I've ever seen! I wish I had the scratch!!
$4699 for a guitar with some perma-drool on the back? Gibson is shameless. ☹️
I thought that was where someone had become a little over excited and...
In 2013 I bought a new Ford (Flex) from the dealer lot. I thought it was pretty sharp, in "Tuxedo Black" with a silver roof.
Upon closer inspection, "Tuxedo Black" turned out to be a metallic color with green, purple, red and yellow flakes, much like the "Midnight Sparkle Blast" Flying V in this episode. Way cool.
About three years ago, I gave the car to my daughter and bought a new one (because it was the last year they were making the Flex). The color schemes in 2019 were a lot more boring. I still think the 2013 is prettier than my current one.
The European Demo Shop uploaded 70-80 new guitars last week. But except for the ES-339 they weren‘t shown as newly uploaded.
That first LP Gold Top was W-A-A-A-Y over the top with all the sparkle. Nice to see an affordable standard gold top, though. I definitely might want to invest in that. And although I don't really have fifty one hundred dollars laying around at the moment, I definitely liked that white SG custom.
Brand new albeit demo Les Paul Standard for $1699 and a 50s standard for $1899 are great deals!

Not the color, but the generic utilitarianism of that name. Cracks me up every time.
Good thing I missed the Mod Shop drop. I wouldn’t have been able to resist a few of those. Maybe this week we’ll get some more sparkle and color.
The gold top sparkle would look awesome with a gold sparkle stinger on the back. Keeping a legible serial number may be tough but consider the wow factor.
To me Gibson repaints should come at a discount not a premium plus price. Demo shop guitars look good but should be. Lower in price after all they are used

The best wood grain in the Industry is Heritage guitars, 2nd is PRS. Gibson and the new leadership has dropped the ball.
I don't like sparkles at all the purple one that looks okay. Too bad they're all out of my price range... I was seriously thinking about selling my Gibson 50 Studio Goldtop 2012. And buying PRS SE Custom 24 or the one with the switches. I really don't like Push Pull knobs I think that one would be better nothing sounds like the growl of a Gibson so I'll keep that and have the other one too LOL

I did, too, so I bought it. Sparkly, but dark so I don't mind. Neck isn't red, it is brown. Hardware are from a Studio so the Mod shop really went to town on it.

Man so many beauties! I love that the Regal eggplant Les Paul, Dirty Green ES-345, the firebird custom but only if it would have been a gloss finish and not Satin, sparkle blue Flying V, the black SG Standard with pearloid pickguard and SG Custom at the end. Great episode Trogs!

Why doesn’t Gibson make some new stuff? Seems like they just make the same guitar designs over and over again with different paint, pickups, etc. I get still making that kind of stuff but you can also make new stuff under your premier product line vs just painting old stuff differently.

These mod/demo shop videos are the least interesting videos. I’d much prefer a “would you rock or not” segment to resume than these. At least the WYRoN videos were people modding their guitars, even if the workmanship wasn’t perfect, it had some character, vibe, mojo, or personality from its creator, vs another overpriced LP Custom with a tinted sparkle overspray and changed out plastics for an additional couple thousand bucks…
The heart of the WYRON series is cool guitars. These fit into that perfectly

The worst years for Gibson were 2007-2016. The current Gibsons are comparative to Gibson's Golden Years, 1957-1960 where quality was and is higher.
The Firebird custom would look amazing in the emerald green colour, and gold hardware.
