Kudos to Chris for taking 5 hours out of his day for breaking in that engine, most outboard shops would have you do it on your own time. Also I would look into that spray coming off the powerpole spraying onto the motor.

Hi Josh, HEY ~ nice wrap on your steering wheel. So sorry to hear how Boring breaking in a motor can be. I mean out in a boat All day does seem like a real drag! lol Now your all done and ready to go. Hope you will be happy with the new Power Plant. BTW, UA-cam is up to not sending out notifications when your videos drop. (At least for me. I missed this one and the previous one.) Take Care my friends. Stay Well and God Bless ✝
Hey Josh. That first three hours had to seem sooo long..lol. I know you, you were ready to just go.. But gotta do things the way you have to go just to expensive not too. Great video Josh and thanks for sharing.. Always your friend, fan, and subscriber..
Thanks for creating this video. If someone doesn't have enough time to do the run-in after 3000rpm, say, and then comes back another day to do the 4000rpm, should they go through the 15min idle also? How long is it recommended to warm up an engine (eg 140hp) before driving off, normally? Thanks again
@50 Shades Of Blue 42mph nice!! What kind of boat? I'm in the process of repowering with a 200ap. Coming from a mercury 200hp 2stroke worried I'm going to lose some mph but excited. I have been wanting a 4stroke for a long time now.

Hey Josh I have a new Suzuki 140 my question is do I have to run at those rpms the whole time or just not to exceed those rpms? Just wondering if hit no wakes can I go from 3000 to idle for a while then back to 3000?

Just bought a Suzuki. I have a question if you don’t mind. Do you have to drive for one hour and forty five minutes at 3000 RPM continuously or can you do it in stages?
It doesn’t have to be continuous, ideally if you have the time or the location to make a run that long continuous would be best, but smaller lakes that’s just not possible. I think as long as you go the recommended hours at the recommended RPM it could be achieved in multiple trips. Just keep a log and follow it to a T, those computers under the cowling know exactly what RPM ranges are ran and for how long, if not broken in properly Suzuki could push back on a warranty claim, Good luck
I just got my brand new boat today. Its a 2022 so its a leftover. The dealer said he took it out the day before I showed up to get it. He said he ran it a bit and got it up on plane and maxed out the rpms for a minute. He didnt say anything about breaking it in or letting it idle first. Is this going to void my warranty? Should i be concerned or should i just go through the break in process? Thank you in advance

Same applies, you can break it in at different intervals.
Not bad, need a marine company near me that treats their customers like them

Fix the transducer splashing the sea water onto the engine. Garmin makes a transducer cover to fix this issue.
