Only thing I don't get is why a 2nd sacker as Gimenez is a Platinum Golder and only 25? Is the plan to move Andres to SS when Bazzana comes up? We definitely need a SS who can hit. While Andres is not having a great year withthe bat heis definitely an upgrade on Rocchio. Bazzana can only play 2nd as he lacks a strong arm (his only weakness).

They let Albert walk, then Manny....do I dare mention Rocky, back in 1960..they traded a power hitting 40 homer fan favorite for Harvey Kueen, left handed slap hitter, like Bazzano...all 29 other teams would have taken Condon....Reds top brass must have had a big smile on their face when the Cleveland team AGAIN tries to outsmart everybody.....this city will never learn as long as they have cheap folks like the Dolans running things....oh they were shut out again...by a very very average team...who took 2 out of 3......we even lost 3 out of 4 to Chicago....we have no power hitting right handed hitters..and now our starting pitching is falling....won't be long until the Twins take this division.
They didn't take Caglione left handed slugger either, and Cincy passed on on Condon too. Plus what kind of trading value are we gonna get with all of the plethora of 2nd/SS that we don't need. I think we're gonna get stacked.

@@roberthudson1959 it all depends on how the cards fall. But Gimenez wouldnt have any problems transitioning back to SS. The thing you want at SS is instincts and arm strength and Gimenez has both. To be fair so does Rocchio, but he just needs to develop a consistent bat.
