Police pursued a stolen Oakland fire engine across northern California on July 6, 2019, before officials stopped the vehicle and arrested the suspected thief in Vacaville.
Video posted by the California Highway Patrol shows the fire engine racing along Interstate 80 before police placed spike strips on the road to puncture its tires. Police then followed the car into a parking lot where they arrested the suspect.
The engine was stolen from Fire Station 23 in Foothill Boulevard on Oakland. The vehicle was a smaller truck used to fight wildfires, local media said, citing officials.
My home was saved by firefighters about 15 years ago because they don't use the phrase "For Firefighter Safety" and ran into my burning home. Stealing firefighting equipment and damaging it is a pretty crappy thing to do even if you're a criminal.
Saw the pants dangling low after being caught and yup....The Lowly ' Usual Suspects'
Sure are a lot of thugs roaming free these days.
One of the dumbest thefts.
That guy looked like he couldn't drive a tricycle.
And the demographic and his attire says guilty all day. Book em Dano !!!
That is not a fire engine, that is a emergency rescue truck with a tiny limited pumper ability.
One steals a fire engine because . . . ?
😂
Part of the neighborhood?
Because there's no punishment for GTA joyrides in California. He'll be out in no time.
Who steals a fire engine!? The usual suspect, that's who!
For all of you saying "not an engine"... It is a Type 6 or Brush Patrol Engine. So yes, it IS AN engine!
That will leave a dent
2019
OMG. Tax dollars to pay for the TANKER TRUCK to get repaired or new one.
It's all? Where is the full chase pursuit? Where starts? If is possible to send me the full chase pursuit I will be thankful.
not an Engine, Truck yes
Stealing a firetruck should carry the same penalty as attempted murder.

Don't leave keys in vehicle.
