Seein' T-Roy slather that rib rack with brown sugar and butter reminds me of how I spend my Saturday afternoons. Slathered in butter and brown sugar.

Hey Troy that looks like some fine ribs!! Rockin Robin Cooks and Rocks!! Keep up the great work. Tim.
Nice one Troy!
thank you
A little extra brown sugar won't hurt ribs one bit! I do babyback ribs fairly often and I will use a lot of dark brown sugar in my rub as well as a locally produced spicy maple/honey rub. A joy to watch as always T-Roy.
-Ribs n Wrenches

Just uploaded my Chuck Roast vid I did a vid on the flanken beef ribs too. I do have a video I need to edit still that I did, baby backs with the kosher salt & cracked black.

You got that right!!! Cheers brother!
Ribs look goooooood
I need a smoker like that!
You're the man T-Roy! Been watching you for years brother hear in South Bend, IN. Go Irish!!! I'm doing some baby backs tomorrow and a picnic roast on my Oklahoma Joe's offset. I like the famous daves rib rub along with some hickory mini logs I get at my local Menards. Definitely gonna have have a few bud lights too lol! Keep rockin brother! Thanks for all the great tips over the years!
Thanks brother, have a great cook Mark and keep that smoke rollin brother!!! Cheers!!!
Awesome ribs Troy!
I love these longer videos. Long videos tell a story, and the story here is, All varieties of these ribs look outstanding, T-Roy! Sorry that I'm 3 days late watching this. Mercy & Levi are currently in the Philippines, and I'm on double-duty with bills and yard work and everything else here... Someone's gotta hold down the fort! 😆
Great video!!! Love how you keep it real and promote each other in the bbq UA-cam community. Kosmos Q is awesome rubs. Just did a 9lbs shoulder on the pit barrel with killer bee honey and dirty bird hot!!! Awesome stuff right there. Keep the vids coming!!! Cheers!!!
Thanks very much Jason. I agree, Kosmos has some fantastic rubs. Keep that smoke rollin' brother! Cheers back to ya!
Great video. Ribs looked amazing. U should do more guest cooks with ya. Pretty awsome!! I have a request to do a cook. Smoked chuck roast. Herd it’s hard to do and also if done right here it taste just like a brisket. Dunno 🤷♂️. Btw. When wrapping your ribs with all those goods. Like brown sugar butter, honey and hot sauce. Try a little mustard with it when u wrap. I started doing that and more people seem to eat more of it.
Good looking cook Troy. I'm throwing on some ribs this weekend. Cheers Brother.
I know they’ll be fantastic Ryan. Cheers brother!!!
The one thing I love about the BBQ culture is how the true pitmasters support one another with their cooking and other's products. In this case. Kosmo's. And I know T-Roy can make his own rubs.
I think I know what I’m making on the Fourth of July now!
Hey Brother T! Liked your point to scrunch the ribs when placing them on the Pit. They Plump Up!
Liked your point when wrapping.... You don't want to Braise or Steam them.....you just want them to continue cooking.
Just want to say.........You would look more comfortable with a Big Ole Pipe Smoker behind You! ;-) Got Your eye on any particular make and model??? 🔥
cám ơn bạn tôi thích video của bạn
Hi Troy, great video. Will you be testing a Shirley Fabrication smoker anytime soon?
What? Already eaten? Missed my favorite part; the T-Roy taste test. Dang!
Oh yea, a trifecta of ribs. They looked delicious along with Robin's MacNShrimp. Good Eats for sho.
What you cooking for 4th of july
Great video brotha Troy! Ima go sub Robins channel now
Thanks brother Kenneth!!! Robin has some fantastic recipes on her channel. I appreciate you spreading the love bro!!! See ya soon!
Howdy T-Roy from another Texans ! Ribs have always been my Achilles heel and this video sure helps...thanks so much ! I have one question if I may. I noticed you didn’t add a binder on the ribs before you seasoned (ie olive oil or mustard) I’ve always done it...is there a reason you don’t ?
Do you prefer ribs off your lone star or the pit barrel cooker?
Wish I had the patience to smoke food. I love grilling but something that takes 5 or 10 hours is a little much for me. Keep them videos rolling TRoy.
No worries Josh, I'll keep cooking those long cooks and you can watch. LOL Thanks brother!
T-ROY COOKS in your opinion what would be a good smoker to start out on? I’ve heard good things about the PBC. But it looks limited.
Best intro ever!! Just curious, why no binder?
Was wondering the same...
Thanks very much! It is a catchy jingle. Honestly, I just wanted to change it up a bit, so no binder. I actually should have put binder on the salt/pepper ribs to help keep the rub on that rack, but the others were fine without a binder.
You don't a binder at all.
Hey brother Troy! Why does the shinny side go on the inside? Them ribs look amazing for sure! Cheers!
Hey brother CJ, I like putting the shiny side inside so it doesn't reflect as much heat and the heat is reflected within the rib packet I made. It helps them cook a little faster. Hope that makes sense? Cheers brother!
T-ROY COOKS it’s all clear to me now! Thanks brother! Have a good one!
Hi Troy! I'm very seriously thinking about getting either the Lone Star 20" or the Loaded Wichita. Now that you've used your Lone Star for a while, how would you compare the two?
Thanks!
Lookin' good Mr. T-roy! I use Frank's Red Hot all the time on my BBQ. just curious if you miss the larger cooking area of the Wichita?
Dang, if that is all it takes for an invite to lunch, just show up in Austin, I am booking my flight now.
If your wife likes them spicey, try some seasoning from dos pendejos. The muy Texas has just a perfect flavor for ribs and great spice. Brother James turned me in to that one.
Oh yeah? I'll have to give that a shot. Brother James is keeping things from me!!! LOL Thanks for watching Joey! Cheers brother!
Killing it, T-Roy! Delicious. I'm curious, do you like flanken just for the sake of variety, or do you actually prefer that cut? I've never tried them that way. I'm gonna check out Robin too! Thanks for the introduction. Smoke on 👉💨
-Jonathan
T Roy. I always love your UA-cam channel...love your shows...they definitely give me ideas & tips on meats I smoke myself....keep smoking brother
T-ROY man i've been a sub for years. i'm trying to do catering in my area what would you recommend to a trailer hitch for a small truck??
Those thin flat ribs grill up great, I eat them all the time. Thick cut is a great idea for just my wife, son and I. How thick did you have those cut? Looks like about 3 inches or so...
Hey T-Roy with all the different grilling equipment like the LSG, WSM and other grills I have seen. YOu must have over 10,000 dollar just in grills.
Great video, but I have to ask: what’s the point of eating ribs that fall off the bone? I like a little meat tug on the bone. That’s the fun in eating ribs!
I'm with ya, I would rather a little bite to my ribs. However, my wife likes them super tender and if the wife ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! LOL Thanks for watching Marcie!!
You’re a good man T-Roy!
Another great video. 👍. Just a thought, I notice when you wear light colored clothing, the camera’s exposure darkens the background so much as to make it unseeable. Like not being able to see the grill contents.
Thanks for the feedback Bob. I actually noticed the same thing in this video. I'm still learning!! LOL
Hello T-Roy I love your videos only I've unfortunately made a mistake in imitating I've wrapped the ribs the same way etc but as it is after 2 hours out of the smoker they were extremely black think the sugar is caramelized were really not edible have used 160 degrees for steaming at how many degrees have you steamed the ribs and how long? would like to make it better the next time.
If the sugar in the rub burned, you’re cooking too hot. Either lower the temp or just use a salt/pepper rub. I’ve never steamed ribs bro. Sorry
@@TROYCOOKS Hello very well done at how much F did you leave the ribs packed in the smoker for 1 hour? Thanks for your tips just try it until it works)
😀 meant to put this emoji in last comment. Lol
I wanna see the guy play the opening theme.....
I hear the food police are coming to get ya.
I’m Rick James biatch!!!!
Hey T-Roy! Nice looking ribs right there! you need to try doing some sous Vide ribs soon, we can do a Collaboration!
I know, right? Heck, anything sous vide would be great!!!!
Hey t Roy what made you decide on just the lone star 20” and not the pipe smoker with vertical box on the end from lone star grills ?
Prost man
They call the fire department on u
Not yet!!! LOL I do live near a firehouse though.
@@TROYCOOKS lol ok them rib look good

Do you ever pour water into the cooking chamber? They advertise that as one of their features.
