    I love this recipe, everything turns out perfect except for one thing... they tend to be a little too dry, any tips?

    • @VirtualEatsGuru
      @VirtualEatsGuru  4 роки тому +4

      Ours come out tender and moist...only things that I can think of is either the meat itself possibly; maybe add more apple juice during the second stage; make sure there aren't any leaks for steam in the braising stage; maybe spritz more during the last stage and/or cut the time down in the last stage to 15-30 minutes maybe...not sure if any of those tips help but in the past I've had some of those issues and caused some racks to be more dry than others;-)

    How much apple juice per foil rib package? Is it a cup and a half for one rack of ribs or is that for three? Thanks looks great!!

    • @VirtualEatsGuru
      @VirtualEatsGuru  3 роки тому +1

      Depends on how much you want them to fall off the bone, 1/4 cup per package for pull from the bone; 1/2 cup for some pull and some fall from the bone; 1 cup for fall from the bone...the more liquid the more tender/braised...really comes down to your taste and preference;-)

    • @VirtualEatsGuru
      @VirtualEatsGuru  3 роки тому +1

      BTW - either method save the braising fluid and put some of it back into the BBQ sauce at the last stage and sauce for the ribs...loads of flavor in that fluid!

    • @CourtHamptonPaintingEtobicoke
      @CourtHamptonPaintingEtobicoke 3 роки тому +1

      @@VirtualEatsGuru thanks so much! A cup for me I think, I did a 1/4 cup between 2 sets of ribs last time and they weren’t tender enough for me. Also did the first 3 hours at 180 degrees which might have something to do with it.

    • @VirtualEatsGuru
      @VirtualEatsGuru  3 роки тому +2

      Yeah - I’ve gravitated to a minimum of 225 for any stage...also if you want really tender ribs (which majority of people love), in my opinion you have to add the flavors back in after the braise stage...braising fluid + seasoning + sauce...the braising fluid has the smoke flavor and more;-)

    Haha! The "subscribe" gymnastics girl is obviously bored! However, it's a lot more entertaining to watch feet clawing at the air than it was to watch your cat licking the ham a few years ago. Ha!
