It does work! In MSFS, it really does sharpen up the medium and far landscape details tremendously - visually it's like another 10ppd has been added. The only downside in the current version is that it doesn't support >150% super-sampling in QuadViews within DCS, otherwise it throws up a "maximum resolution exceed" error.
I've never even tried the DCS QuadView stuff. DCS is something I always have installed but never play really, it's a little daunting to get in to when I can just jump straight in to something else lol.
DCS is like another iracing or ACC, spend hours learning and tweaking for perfection. I'm a sim racer but like hopping into MSFS for fun so I get not wanting to devote another lifetime to DCS lol@@AdamsSIMporium
I've also tried this mod in MSFS 2020, it definitely helps with distance detail, however I can see it sharpens up the instruments too! What is that module on the bottom center part of your Pimax Crystal? Some sort of tracking, for face or hands?
Awesome, I shall check out the new world update 16 with it on :) That thing is a dongle for the Soundcore P10 VR earbuds I use when using the noisy motion seat. They are pretty good, you can have multiple dongles too, I made a video about them... ua-cam.com/video/t-vSdv1LteM/v-deo.html
I've been using this for a while now and it seems to good to be true. Supposedly it is correcting for some kind of optical imperfections based on your eye position. What seems suspicious is that I can actually see in your recording the image get sharper when you turn on the filter. Why would that be? God I hope this doesn't turn out to be a big hoax where all they are doing is turning down the resolution when the filter is disabled and then just turning it back to normal when you enable it. LOL
I thought I'd noticed it after too. I don't get how it's not something Pimax etc just can't do themselves anyway, but it's all magic to me, no idea what's really going on lol.
When you see it looking worse on the screen, it's actually when Alma lens it's turned on. It pre-distorts the image to compensate the intrinsec imperfections of the lens, so that the eye will see a perfect image in the headset.
@@AdamsSIMporium I found that the trial program could be tricked if you change the date on your computer and set it back a month. Then the trial program works again but you get other issues with your computer going on. So I'm thinking somewhere somehow someone can hack this program to not see the calendar.

@@barbuceanu2005 ah, interesting and yeah makes sense thanks.
Great stuff, Fernando but tell us: will you go to Mercedes in 2025? 😜😄👍👍
Shhhhh I can't comment at this time...
@@AdamsSIMporium Ok..😶🤣🤣
Aaannnnd it's gone.
The greatest trick that Pimax ever pulled, was convincing the world that Almalence was pointless... except we all know otherwise really.
