I’m at the finish line and only need to unbolt the power steering and the last 2 e12 bolts. After seeing all the BS a lot of people went through I bought 4 different items for the E12. I’m so fkn glad you confirmed what I was considering, unbolting the motor mounts to see if I could get another 2”. Thanks man!
you dont have to remove the transmission crossmember, transfer case, or driveshafts to lower the engine past the motor mounts? just undo the motor mounts and lower the engine and nothing else?
Aye thanks for this video ! Glad I looked into this before I struggled with it. Definitely seems like a better way than dropping the trans. Where did you hook up the motor for the lift?
Come to think of it, just use a quarter inch e8 socket, just use the quarter inch end, you probably don't even need to drop the motor mount if you do that.

Thank you so much , been fighting this in my 2004 wrangler , bought the harbor freight ratchet ,this works !!!
The real question should be, why did they even use those stupid in the first place?

By the exhaust manifold bolt and motor mount bolt I believe, I just bought a cheap leveler, so that I could get the right angle. Glad this helped.
Were you able to get the e12 off without taking the head off first?

What do you mean exactly? About to tackle my top bolts tomorrow
@@joshestess if you have a quarter inch e8 socket it'll give u even more room by using the quarter inch side of that ratchet
@@willthecardude6900 I thought they were e12
@@joshestess my bad I meant e12
@@willthecardude6900 I thought so was just making sure you didn't know some voodoo magic to get em out easier lol
Help! I put every nut, bolt, fastener etc into baggies, but I cannot find the transmission bolts... Does anyone know the size of the bolts?
