    Thank you for the lesson. Touched upon so many interesting features in the area. I have been looking for years for this type of information. I've lived in the Tehachapi area since the 80's and there is still so much more to learn about it.
    I look forward to more lessons, specifically on Tehachapi. The mountains, valleys, mines and other features.

    That was a fantastic video, I grew up in Tehachapi and drive the 58 daily. I always find myself wondering about the geology that made the beautiful landscape. Thanks for the video!

    If the "back bone of California" is the Sierra Nevada, does that make the Tejon Pass (The Grapevine to the New Hall Pass) the Rectum?

    I am interested in the geology of “Black Mountain”, just southwest of Tehachapi above Golden Hills West. The ridge looks like a fault & the rock quite dark & sharp but I wonder whether it could be basalt or ?
