@neilparedes-chavez1688 I am glad I'm not the only one that stays on the 5 yr upgrade cadence. We all will enjoy our S27 Ultra or S28 Ultra in due time, if these crazy leaders of countries don't delete civilization being selfish and stu-pid!
The second we get Micro SD back and (gasp) removable batteries, I will upgrade. If that never happens, I will literally keep using the phone I have until the end of time. Been doing it 5 years and still going strong. Even 10 year old phones I have still work fine. I wouldn't trade micro Sd capacbilite even if I got an offer for free lifetime unlimited cloud storage. I need to swap my memory and need to open files without relying on internet. Period.
Great effort mate. I have the same phone since February, but unfortunately I haven't been enjoying the battery experience, it drains a lot despite having the light mode performance enabled, 5G disabled, and having most of the apps in deep sleep. I feel like I have a faulty version of the phone and the battery keeps me anxious all the time, especially when seeing most of the reviewers have an average of 8 hours screen-on-time, while I barely get 4-5 SOT with a really minimal usage.
That's crazy man, I remember at that one update where the SOT is 4 hours, it really is so bad and honestly I don't know what to suggest other than updating the OS, maybe try to factory reset the phone? It's extreme tho
@@Abdullahzee97 I just got my phone back in August and I thought putting my apps in deep sleep would help the battery but it seems that was draining it for me. I would say try turning that off to see if you notice a difference.
One is in the game optimizer app called Z Perf if I'm not mistaken But that's not as reliable as GPUWatch which you turn on inside developer settings, which shows you graph as well and stays on all the time, much more helpful!
Hey thanks for the review. I have a question. Are you familiar with the magsafe cases and accessories? If so. I bought the spigen hybrid zero one magsafe case because alot of reviews said it works great with the spen unlike many other magsafe cases. My question is, what kind of charger do i get with it? Do you have any reccomended?
Absolutely, love Magnetic accessories even since way back with the mophies! Not sure why a magsafe case would interfere with the S Pen though (I got a magsafe Rhinoshield as well and it works fine) But in terms of magnetic chargers, since this is a standard qi wireless standard you can just get anything, like Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Pad gives you peace of mind since it supports Qi2 and 15W speeds
Hi Kenneth! 👋 I love all your reviews. I like your method, the train of thought is in line with what I wanna hear about the device (earphone, smartphone, etc)
Haha that's great to hear! I always try to put my shoes in the viewers side and think what's really the most important things I need to know Hope to see you in future videos!
That's great to hear! I've been using a Bare Gorilla Glass 5 myself (from around Feb) and it's been great so far, but doing the same on a 1000+ dollar phone is a bit hard haha Still tho for most of the review period I do use it without screen protector
Hello, comming from Xiaomi Mi 9T pro, I've used S24 Ultra for a month. Wanted the best overall phone, and apple in my country is way more expensive than samsung or other brands. The camera's were very impressive, the 1x and 5x especially. The screen of the phone was impressive with that anti glare new technology. The Pen was a very cool to play with, I even managed to put the lightsaber sound when in or out. Now for the average things of it, the battery performance was ok in the last two weeks, the screen on low brightness looked very weird, the AI features only used them once when testing them. The volume of the speaker during calls was average, and in my own language some letters sounded very bad that hurt the ears (romanian). As for the bad things: the phone heats up when taking photos. The speaker is... on the left side of the phone , and it's easy to cover it with your fingers, very annoying when watching media content (except youtube or anything in landscape). The square design , was unique but very incomfortable after some time to hold, even with protection case. The charging speed was way too slow for 2024, 1h+ to charge your phone, even if it did 1-60% in 40 min, it was not enough for me. Phone itself is very huge, but also heavy. Too heavy. The personal things I never read online that made me return it, the raise to wake sensor only worked 50% of the times, the fingerprint was way too high, unnatural position of the finger can also not recognise the finger. The face unlock worked fine (fast), but if you wanted to read your notications on locked screen, you had to raise the screen up, and the distance required was too long, it took like 3-4 attempts each time. Need to mention, I returned the first S24U after two weeks, cause a better priced offer appeared with free earbuds SE as well. So it s hard to tell I got two broken devices. Perhaps if you always been a Samsung user, you might never notice some of the issues mentioned above. I'm currently testing One Plus 12, and the only drawback so far is the camera with white tones, but still better than oversaturated the S24U made, and the low volume on speaker calls.
s23 ultra is still better then most, I personally don't think the s24 is worth the minor updates asside from the flat screen.. the s25 series is going to be the upgrade to get with the monster specs rumored for it. excited to see in january.
If you're in S23 or S22 Ultra then absolutely you don't need to upgrade haha this is talking if anyone else would like to jump into S24 Ultra first Still always on the lookout for the next iteration!
Honestly if you feel your phone is perfectly fine, wait until early next year Because it’s nice to change phones now, but I don’t see too much things worth upgrading except you feel the performance is lacking (I’m talking about heavy multitasking, phone heating up a lot, gaming and editing)
Honestly I want the fold haha I use bigger screen more than the S Pen, but that’s also because I already have a similarly big phone the iPhone 13 Pro Max
5:40 Samsung is mainly using PPS which is not PD. PD usage is an option but it is not as efficient as PPS. So, "super fast charging" and "super fast charging 2.0" are from PPS protocol not PD. 13:15 I don't know if you have used oneui before but this is how it has been. I like this feature because it gives you more options to open/close app drawer. 13:00 I almost never leave that many notifications to accumulate so it doesn't really bother me. It has been times that that issue happened to me but it is rare.
hey im planning to buy the charger adapter you recommended at the start of your video...im wondering if changing the original samsung adapter i bought will mess up my battery.
it only cost me 135€ more to upgrade from my 14 month old s23U so it was a no brainer for me. I can get longer software support and improved processor.
With a stronger battery I would definitely give Samsung another try (my last one was a Samsung Galaxy S1 lol) but in this case I won't because the battery doesn't even last a full day.
Hi (nice test) I have noticed that the frame around the 50MP periscope telephoto camera on my phone is slightly tilted, approximately 5-7 degrees off from the vertical or relative to the phone's vertical edge. This seems like it could be an assembly issue during production. Could other users with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens check their cameras for any similar tilt in the frame relative to the vertical or phone edge? I’d appreciate any feedback on this. Thank you!
I only got the phone a few days ago, I'm the only one who thinks that it charges too quickly and heats up too easily, I honestly didn't expect this from such a powerful and expensive phone
Ah I actually didn't take note of when specifically did the battery improved, but there was like that popup of monthly software update (around July) and afterwards improved the battery life
@@namedkenn The ultra has such a beautiful screen, i couldn't cover it up. The anti glare is such an underrated feature. Especially if you use dark mode during a sunny day.

bruh, i think you are the only reviewer i saw ever to do a game benchmark testing on a phone with it on a case that will obviously throttle not only this device but any other smartphone youd dare test like that as heat is not getting dissipated out normally as if when it is bare. like, what the hell bruh?. 😆 😂 🤦♂️ Heck, I even put just a skin decal on mine and i noticed the drop in heat dissipation ans faster throttling now. Let alone having a thick case on it really and it would throttle much worst.
I upgrade my phone every year regardless how minimal or significant the update is for specific purpose. Your phone loses value the older it gets and you won't get the best deal on an upgrade without trading in the previous model. With the trade in I got with the S23 ultra, I got $800 cash back and free galaxy watch 6. Sold the watch as new and got $340 making my trade in just over $1100. And I'll do the same with the S25 next year.
I was just offered 800 to trade in a 5 year old phone. But Asurion LITERALLY wrote a $1300 check going that route. Note 20 ultra. No joke. I was excited about s24 ultra 500gb. When i found out no micro sd I took the money and bought TWO note 20 ultras. I have 1.2 TB. Excellent camera. Excellent performance, excellent sound and picture. I LITERALLY will take a 15 year old phone with micro sd, headphone jack and removable battery over a FREE top of the line new phone anyday. Spending $1500 on a phone should NEVER feel like a downgrade
just bought it, had a huawei mate 20 pro before. Its awesome BUT i would rather buy a new huawei if google play would work on the new phones :/ miss my huawei xD small things that just was so good on the huawei that i miss on samsung. Samsung has better camera but its a bit over exposed. Im still taking my time to learn all the new stuff.
Just bought the s24 ultra and everything is fantastic but WHY the screen is less vivid than my note9 screen? Like I just put the S24U screen at vivid but it stills less vivid than my note9 ?! And I feel like the battery drains fast idk if it’s normal
i thought they fixed that issue in february update? my main concern is mura issues which seem to affect 30% of s24 units. i dont want to chance getting it
Not the best one yet. Just a few years back there were phones with a micro sd that supported 1TB and some even had headohone jacks. I was literally at the store, money in hand, ready to buy s24 Ultra. The 500 GB model no less. Found out last second no Micro SD. Left the store and bought TWO of the older phone I already had. I got 2 phones with 1.2 TB free space, a camera I can zoom farther than my eyes can see, And $600 left in my pocket. I can literally shoot 4k+ videos as much as I want and download entire 1080p football games to watch later and my storage is not even 15%. I might be 60 years old before I have to swap out the micro SD for a new one.😅 Buying a $1500 phone should never feel like a downgrade, and thats exactly how I feel about these newer phones. What good is support up to year 2035 if the battery only lasts 3 years??? And the better the cameras get, the more storage they take yet the storage options keep getting worse... Lol They must have lost AT LEAST $5000 worth of phone buying from me since they removed micro SD.
Maybe reflective panels are good on this and but it doesn't make screen look better. I compared Iphone 16 & S24U side by side, screen doesn't feel as good as iphone (or Iqoo 7 which I have). I watched 4k videos in all three, S24U display wasn't as appealing. Even IQOO held up against Iphone pretty well in 4k UA-cam video. And I am in for flat screen.
@@namedkenn Now lower the brightness of the smartphone to 15-20% and take a close look at the screen! Because there are already hundreds of posts on Samsung support forums about this issue, the image starts to look like you're viewing it through a dirty film!

Hi. Great video. I'm new to Samsung, coming from Apple. I can't get my timers to appear on lock screen, not the icon, the actual countdown timer. Also, lock screen notifications will not populate. All it shows is the icon, sometimes. I have lock screen notifications on n show content. Please help. Thanks.
Pinch on the home screen. Select "Wallpaper and Style", then select the wallpaper or the lock screen (the lock screen will be on the left, home screen on the right). There, you will be able to select certain parts of the screen to customize. Where you see the notification icons, tap that, and a small menu should pop up prompting you to select between 3 options: no notifications shown on the lock screen, icons only, or full detail. Select full detail. Timer counting down on the lock screen? Haven't quite figured that one out? Let me know if my instructions were any good with the notifications on the lock screen though!

I am planning to buy one of them but i want to know first which one has better screen brightness, colors and vivid
I do agree I love flat screen that's why i went with S24 ultra over OnePlus12. But I am waiting for flat screen from them as well.
Yep, honestly curved screens done well is not a problem for me, but it's just that much more trouble dealing with screen protector and cases haha
Confused between these 2 phones as well.. how you liking the s24u? How's the battery life for you
@tygariont7594 it's been great no issues here. It's a lot better than my pixel 7.
No, thanks. I'm sticking with my "5-year rule" as it relates to buying a new phone. i'll wait until Samsung S27 Ultra shows up. its only 3 more years.
@neilparedes-chavez1688 I am glad I'm not the only one that stays on the 5 yr upgrade cadence. We all will enjoy our S27 Ultra or S28 Ultra in due time, if these crazy leaders of countries don't delete civilization being selfish and stu-pid!
@@LionPride11241968 I'm looking at the 24 Ultra to replace my Note 9. It's been a while. lol
Period.
@@MrFang333333 in 2027 in EU the batteries will have to be user replaceble 😁
Should we be worried about getting green line with our s24 ultra? I got an HK variant.
I had it for 6 months. It's the best phone for me coming from ip13pro. Super fast, long lasting battery, and flagship features. I love it!
Haha that’s pretty much the same case for me, it’s a great phone for productivity especially!
Hi Ken, how can your cooler attach to Samsung s24 ultra without magsafe case?
I would say try turning that off to see if you notice a difference.
what apps do U use to display FPS and GPU CPU use?
One is in the game optimizer app called Z Perf if I'm not mistaken
But that's not as reliable as GPUWatch which you turn on inside developer settings, which shows you graph as well and stays on all the time, much more helpful!
@@namedkenn thanks sir. I'll try to see if my phone has that in its' dev option
Great review
Hey thanks for the review. I have a question. Are you familiar with the magsafe cases and accessories? If so. I bought the spigen hybrid zero one magsafe case because alot of reviews said it works great with the spen unlike many other magsafe cases. My question is, what kind of charger do i get with it? Do you have any reccomended?
Absolutely, love Magnetic accessories even since way back with the mophies!
Not sure why a magsafe case would interfere with the S Pen though (I got a magsafe Rhinoshield as well and it works fine)
But in terms of magnetic chargers, since this is a standard qi wireless standard you can just get anything, like Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Pad gives you peace of mind since it supports Qi2 and 15W speeds
@@namedkenn thank you so much i appreciate your help
Hi Kenneth! 👋
I love all your reviews. I like your method, the train of thought is in line with what I wanna hear about the device (earphone, smartphone, etc)
Haha that's great to hear! I always try to put my shoes in the viewers side and think what's really the most important things I need to know
Hope to see you in future videos!
Use a liquid screen protector. It works amazing but doesn't mess with reflections much if any
You mean the hydrogel ones right? Honestly I don’t like the squishy feeling when touching the screen
Watching on my iPhone 14 Pro Max while waiting for the arrival of my s24 ultra.. what will I expect differently?
Haha well the Gorilla Glass Armor? That's very impressive, also I love multitasking on Androids (popup view, Dex, etc)
You are amazing and honest. All the very best ❤
Thank you so much! 🙌🏻
No need for a screen protector. I've had the phone since January. Not one micro scratch.
That's great to hear! I've been using a Bare Gorilla Glass 5 myself (from around Feb) and it's been great so far, but doing the same on a 1000+ dollar phone is a bit hard haha
Still tho for most of the review period I do use it without screen protector
Thank you very much! Kenneth!
You're very welcome!
s23 ultra is still better then most, I personally don't think the s24 is worth the minor updates asside from the flat screen.. the s25 series is going to be the upgrade to get with the monster specs rumored for it. excited to see in january.
If you're in S23 or S22 Ultra then absolutely you don't need to upgrade haha this is talking if anyone else would like to jump into S24 Ultra first
Still always on the lookout for the next iteration!
I use an s22 ultra, but I want to upgrade. Should I wait till Januri for the S25, or would you say S24 is a big enough upgrade?
Honestly if you feel your phone is perfectly fine, wait until early next year
Because it’s nice to change phones now, but I don’t see too much things worth upgrading except you feel the performance is lacking (I’m talking about heavy multitasking, phone heating up a lot, gaming and editing)
Iphone 15 pro or s24 ultra.... Which is best to buy now?
Which cases are you using with the s24 ultra? 4:46
Which one u think is better s24 ultra or zfold 6?
Honestly I want the fold haha I use bigger screen more than the S Pen, but that’s also because I already have a similarly big phone the iPhone 13 Pro Max
7 yrs. Upgraded from S23u to S24u. Much faster, cool AI. With trade in and corporate discount a d free 512gb promo... paid $522
I still have my s22 ultra, and im going to have it until the s25 ultra comes out. I love the new watch ultra, Buds Pro3, and ring, though!
That’s still perfectly great man! I wanted to try the other stuff out as well haha
hey im planning to buy the charger adapter you recommended at the start of your video...im wondering if changing the original samsung adapter i bought will mess up my battery.
No prob man it’s perfectly fine as long as the charger supports the proper standard, which is PPS for Samsung
Waiting for the S25 with rounded edges. Traded in S24 as it was too awkward to hold.
it only cost me 135€ more to upgrade from my 14 month old s23U so it was a no brainer for me. I can get longer software support and improved processor.
The prices for S24 Ultra plummeted down. I bought one yesterday on Amazon for £730 (new, sealed).
With a stronger battery I would definitely give Samsung another try (my last one was a Samsung Galaxy S1 lol) but in this case I won't because the battery doesn't even last a full day.
Hi (nice test)
I have noticed that the frame around the 50MP periscope telephoto camera on my phone is slightly tilted, approximately 5-7 degrees off from the vertical or relative to the phone's vertical edge.
Use a lower watt charger
Turn off fast charging in the battery settings
Can you review the samsung galaxy s25 & s25 ultra with speaker sound on each phone my main objective is listening to the phone for music
Is screen protector(not the original samsung one) really worth it ?
Which one then?
I have the s24 ultra. Keep up the good work. Liked and subscribed.
Which camera is better s24 ultra or mi 14 ultra ?
I actually prefer Xiaomi most of the time, but Samsung looks like it's good for further editing
Hi, when you mentioned you got better battery life now @5:21 , what is the build number version or baseband version on your phone?
Ah I actually didn't take note of when specifically did the battery improved, but there was like that popup of monthly software update (around July) and afterwards improved the battery life
have you tried configuring the game hub setting and battery performance settings?
it's really amazing review keep going ❤❤
Thanks a ton! I’ll surely try my best to
@@namedkenn I want to ask you: Do you have an idea if I can run dex from the Ultra device
On an Android tablet or on laptops and monitors only ?
Haven't used a screen protector in years, no regrets 👍
That’s great to hear!
@@namedkenn The ultra has such a beautiful screen, i couldn't cover it up. The anti glare is such an underrated feature. Especially if you use dark mode during a sunny day.
If you change the mode on the camera to Pro mode, you can shoot at 24fps! 😊
The BEST review of the S24 that I have seen!
Incidentally, the screen looks RECTANGULAR to me. 😊
I bought mine on launch because I got a great trade in deal. If I didn't, I would've bought the S23U instead.
Yep, a lot of the times the incentives from Samsung themselves makes it worth buying S24U
Ah and the price goes down so quickly as well haha
I have my Samsung S24 Ultra ❤❤ and I love it

My regret buying S24 Ultra...its camera is worse than my previous Samsung Fold4....automatic photo correction is really hurting
hey man i was thinking of switching to the samsung s24 ultra as i currently have the iphone 14 pro. i wanted to know does the phone get warm or hot even if you use it normally or in general scrolling through social media or watching videos on youtube or tiktok. would help me out tons if you could let me know

keren bang, asli nganjuk ya?
Due to all the current updates the S23 ultra is still the best. Samsung Dex is the absolute nuts, definitely a pc replacement on my 80+ inch screen
Does it come with preinstalled screen protector?
No it doesn’t, I mean it encourages you to experience the Gorilla Glass Armor haha

@namedkenn bro, I just got my s24 ultra. And I'm loving it. The best $870 I ever spent.
what phone is good for gaming please? games like genshin impact or love and deepspace.
IMO I'd say the Samsung. And before you guys flame me in the replies I've used an Apple device before
bruh, i think you are the only reviewer i saw ever to do a game benchmark testing on a phone with it on a case that will obviously throttle not only this device but any other smartphone youd dare test like that as heat is not getting dissipated out normally as if when it is bare. like, what the hell bruh?. 😆 😂 🤦♂️ Heck, I even put just a skin decal on mine and i noticed the drop in heat dissipation ans faster throttling now. Let alone having a thick case on it really and it would throttle much worst.
More Samsung content please, TY!
Yeah man Huawei has really good hardware but when Google doesn’t work it’s just 🥲 hard to work with
Anyways enjoy your new gadget! Haha
Just bought the s24 ultra and everything is fantastic but WHY the screen is less vivid than my note9 screen? Like I just put the S24U screen at vivid but it stills less vivid than my note9 ?! And I feel like the battery drains fast idk if it’s normal
i thought they fixed that issue in february update? my main concern is mura issues which seem to affect 30% of s24 units. i dont want to chance getting it
Commenting from my s24 ultra. Amazing.
Begitu terima S24U, saya langsung ganti launcher pakai nova hahaha, biar gampang customize-nya.
Haha betul Nova itu go to launcher saya juga kalau manufacturer ini aneh aneh 🤣
I might be 60 years old before I have to swap out the micro SD for a new one.😅
Buying a $1500 phone should never feel like a downgrade, and thats exactly how I feel about these newer phones.
What good is support up to year 2035 if the battery only lasts 3 years??? And the better the cameras get, the more storage they take yet the storage options keep getting worse... Lol
They must have lost AT LEAST $5000 worth of phone buying from me since they removed micro SD.
Good Video, Nice Work. 👍🏽 subscribed. 😊
Awesome, thank you! 😁
You can have Apple Music on a galaxy?
Yep, any android works
Maybe reflective panels are good on this and but it doesn't make screen look better.
I compared Iphone 16 & S24U side by side, screen doesn't feel as good as iphone (or Iqoo 7 which I have).
I watched 4k videos in all three, S24U display wasn't as appealing. Even IQOO held up against Iphone pretty well in 4k UA-cam video.
And I am in for flat screen.
Are you facing display grainy issue ?
Nope, my screen is perfectly black and I use it at night time like literally everyday
@@namedkenn
Now lower the brightness of the smartphone to 15-20% and take a close look at the screen! Because there are already hundreds of posts on Samsung support forums about this issue, the image starts to look like you're viewing it through a dirty film!
It's much easier to use then iPhones. Users just have to be more intelligent. You get a lot of options so you gotta remember how to use them efficiently.
Men i don't know what should i do? It has been almost 6 years i'm using my A6+(2018) and its fuc**** laggy and storage is full (which its 64GB😖😞) so i want to do a big jump from my A6+ but i'm confused between buying S24U or wait for S25U 🙁🙁

Haha that’s way too old man, go upgrade and you’ll see a huge, huge jump in every single aspect of your phone (and I would appreciate if you use the affiliate links in description!)
I think I’ll be using a third party launcher. This was the main reason I wanted a pixel. I may still swap it out.
The phone is literally the best phone in the market... not to mention SAMSUNG is pushing more deals every month just to let more customers to buy this phone... at least here in the PH, there are lots of deals every month... phone was 84k bought it for just 70k...
Yeah man the deals are getting crazier, like the list price is 1300USD but now they’re around 1100USD here, that’s Samsung for you and enjoy!

I have one concern with samsungs which are there speakers. I went from an iphone 8 which was introduced in 2017 to a s21 introduced in 2021. When i first got the phone i realise how terrible the speakers were, lacking a lot of bass and sounding tinny. I wanna know if samsung has improved there speakers on the s24u because im planning to upgrade
@@5lessh base on my experience its amazing. But i would suggest for u to go to a samsung store to check it by yourself. Its still your money so you should experience those basic stuff first with their display products
Hi! I guarantee you that if you test them in day-to-day use, you will be amazed to find that the S23 Ultra is slightly better than the S24 Ultra, especially in the photo and video category. 😊 I'm using the S24 Ultra, but my wife still has the S23 Ultra, and I'm impressed with the photos she takes. :)
Yes, it is Gorilla Glass, but the colors need to be remastered from the settings because the colors aren't that nice... I prefer the S23 Ultra. I managed to get an impressive offer from Three and got this phone s 24u for only £33 a month five months ago... but if I had to choose now, I would go with the S23 Ultra for sure... it's cheaper and a better Galaxy Ultra in my opinion. If you are a moderate or light user, the S22 Ultra is still an amazing phone and the best optimised device and design is top . 😮❤

Ok, so coming from the S22 Ultra. This one has the better design. Flat screen made me happy. Honestly come on Samsung and Apple do this BS every year so come on don't be surprised that they make another phone with few reasons to upgrade. You know what your getting so the question is,"Is it enough of a reason to upgrade? Still love this phone because it's still better than the Iphone so as long as that is still a fact, I don't care. Also I want to add that Samsung does need to improve the camera significantly so that anyone can see it's the better choice versus any other phone. Not saying it's not great.
Was the most uncomfortable phone I ever used. Sold it but was tech packed.
Haha well it is a big phone, I'm just so used to it since I daily drive a 13 Pro Max (they're exactly the same size) but I do agree it is big and unwieldy
