We used to have a cake tin like that. It was made of two pieces that fit into each other, so you can change the length of it and it makes it easier to take out.
Taste and cook is already difficult enough when they do it on other shows. But on baking I imagine it even more difficult!

It's difficult, but it's also a really common cake to have with tea in the UK. I think a US equivalent would be like asking someone to make a lemon meringue pie from taste. All the elements by itself aren't that hard.
