@@_stevenfoster I wish I had a MIDI Fighter. Those things are rad haha! I always think of this video whenever I want a MIDI Fighter: ua-cam.com/video/qAeybdD5UoQ/v-deo.html
Thanks for letting me know! Whenever I make a video, I try to make it the best video on that topic. It's a big goal, but it's a fun one to chase. Thanks again for the support.
Until watching your video my ears weren't able to distinguish the difference between the four types of reverbs. Now I can, and those differences are uniquely noticeable to my ears! Thank you for the great presentation. 👍
Of course, I'm so thrilled this could help you out. Thanks for letting me know too. It's always great hearing from viewers letting me know that these videos are helping others out there.
Great video Onesto, I knew the different types of reverb by ear but I didn't really know that plate reverb was best paired with vocals. Another reverb I had a hard time wrapping my head around is convolution reverb/ impulse responses, witch is an input signal/waveform based reverb commonly used on the master bus to make a track feel like it's in a certain space, pretty much room/plate/spring or hall but wave based if I understand it correctly
I've always been a little confused about convolution reverb too. I think what you're describing is pretty accurately. Maybe it's something that I make a video about.
That’s a good question, thanks for asking. I think the simplest way to describe room vs spring is that room reverb has more of a soft natural reverb tail, while spring has a bit of a metallic twang. I probably should have exaggerated that twang more in the video. Spring works great with guitars. While room sort of works with everything. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the feedback! For all my videos, I try to keep them moving, but keep the teaching as effective as I know how. Glad you know a whole lot more about reverb types
Old video but instant sub. Wonderful no-nonsense explanation. I now have a better understanding than Reddit could give me, in a fraction of time and without the trolls. Thank you so much!
@@ThisIsOnesto You can use reverb on very slight settings?!! 😮 What kind of madness is that? 😄 As for using it wrong, I'm not convinced I use it any other way! 😎😄

do you have a midi fighter and can you teach me how to use mine because I'm terrible with it.

Best video on reverb

spring reverbs are great
They really are, such a unique character that just works.
What's the difference between a room reverb off of Raum vs a convolution reverb with an IR response vs a studio room emulation reverb with chambers?

reverb got tail?
I'm having a hard time differentiating the room vs spring reverb. Everything else was clear to me.

U should do one of these for all types of effects, this was hella informative
Nice glad you appreciate it! I'm pretty sure I'll get to the rest of the effects one day.
Great video! What's the song on the background?
Hey, thanks for watching! I think that video comes from a sampler from Arcade from Output. I think it’s from the Poolside Line.
very nice video thank you 😊
No problem. Thanks for watching!
This is awesome man! Nice short explanation. Thank you, and nice editing as well!
Thanks for watching, so happy to hear it could help!
This was super helpful. You didn’t drag it on, but gave real examples so I walk away feeling like I understand it now.

Very clear explanations. 👌
Nice, thanks for watching. This was a fun video to make and I learned a whole lot from it too!

So good! Finally understand my Boss RV-6 pedal ❤
You got it! Thanks for watching. Hope you can start having more fun with your pedal!
I'm 99% sure that the Airy setting on Raum is a Hall reverb and the orange setting is the Room. Just an fyi
Got it, that totally makes sense. Thanks for the heads up!
Thank you. Nice video, great explanations.
Thanks for watching, glad the video could help!
oh man i found this video truly wholesome, thanks for that
Thanks for watching this one, it means a lot!
❤ REVERB!!! ❤ I never thought that some room reverbs sound better with different tempo songs, so I've learnt something new. 😀
Isn't reverb great. The tempo tip can relate to all reverb types. You just want to make sure that your reverb tails dont make your mix sound messy.
@@ThisIsOnesto I might try making a song using *only* reverb (apart from drum plugin) to show my appreciation for reverb.
That sounds like fun! Try pushing it to extreme settings and to very light settings. Or try using it wrong, sounds like you'll be learning a lot
