His bankai tells a story of a couple committing suicide first one of them attacks the other and feels regret(the incurrable sickness occurs) and after that they decide to commit suicide and both jump into a lake(while there spiritual pressure gets drained to 0) but one of them betrayed the other and tries to swim his way out, but he regrets it and that regret eventually kills him(the throat cutting thread shunsui used is symbolizing his regret for trying to swim out). The bankai is insipired by a real japanese theatre play. But Kubo said in a QA that Shunsui his bankai can make any story he wants but it has to be a real japanese play. BEST BANKAI IN BLEACH
