His abilities don't actually have a hard limit, as his sword can adopt any children's game--new games are created continuously. 3) Basically, with both his eyes open, Barro is intangible and enemy attacks pass through him. 19:52 yes they did show her in the rebellion arc. In the very first episode of the arc #230 Shunsui’s zanpakuto, Ukitake’s zanpakuto, and Unohana’s zanpakuto jumped Yamamoto in his office and sealed him, and you will get to see more of them when you continue the arc.
My understanding is that Shunsui/zanpaktou and Lille represent the actors and the other people represent the audience the golden hue is like stage lights on a theater. I feel like its similar to his shikai ability where he has some agency over what happens but not entirely. In order to avoid dragging in other "actors" into the play he activates away from everyone else. Also props on figuring out the Lille transformation on the first go around.
Shikai: Children's games Bankai: Adults Theaters So he creates a story where both he and his opponent are the main characters, be it Hero vs Villain or just a tragic romance story (like this one). In this narrative he creates, A man makes a promise to his Wife that they'd "die together" (the reason is a bit ambiguous, but it is implied that that was the condition for her accepting his marriage proposal, anyway).... The Wife wants a couples suicide, the husband promises to indulge her and when the time comes, the man basically gets cold feet. And so he hurts his wife's feelings, breaks her heart, and as a result of the pain the wife is feeling, the man also feels bad. They "share" each other's pain. And that is act 1... Oh btw, the man in the story is Lille, and of course Ohana (Shunsui) is the wife. So act 1 is them sharing each other's pains, hence the literatal damage reflection that occurs. The man feels so guilty with the pain of breaking his wife's heart that he falls ill with an incurable disease (likely depression) but it manifests as an actual disease that almost kills Lille (the dark spots that made him bleed from his eyes, nose and other cavities). That is act 2. The wife realizes that her grief has become a curse on her husband and so, she forgives him and decides to commit suicide by drowning herself in an endless ocean of water. The husband having recovered from the sickness after being forgiven, gathers his resolve and courage to join her and fulfill his promise with honour. But when they both begin to drown, the reality of death dawns on him and he cowardly tries to swim back to the top of the water, but because it is an endless body of water (basically, infinite space), he cannot make it to the top. The wife who sees her husband struggling to deal with their current reality, removes a part of her cloth (a bunch of strings) and then to end her husbands suffering and to help him keep his honour, she strangles him with the bunch of strings and essentially beheads him. (hence the monolog from Ohana and Shunsui) And when the man finally dies, the woman also dies in peace. That was the final act of the theater performance. A very depressing, tragic and eery Bankai... The Shikai is just a child's playful game where life is fair and both fighters understand the rules. Adulthood is not fair, so if you can't handle whatever tragedy thay comes your way... you die alone in the cold.
I see alot off people shitting on his form and I'm glad u see why it's so good cause he is technically a biblical accurate angel which why he said he is the one closest to God and it is said that when people see a angel they are terrified and can't move cause off there power and that's why shunsei couldn't move
his shikai takes kids games and turns them into real life. His bankai takes a play and goes through the stages of the play, in the manga this chapters called the theatre suicide, so basically its a theatre play and u get beheaded at the end
I'll Explain Shunsui's first game. You have one kid in the center and everyone else has to be statues in their eyes. You can only move when the kid in the center doesn't see you. If the kid sees you, you lose. If the kid gets touched you win. I commented somewhere else already but since I played this as a kid I'll explain. I'm American by the way.
The first game was red light green light. Yes, his zanpakuto is in the rebellion arc. Yes, Lille becomes intangible with both his eyes are open. Shunsui's bankai is a stage play basically where his zanpakuto sets the rules. Yes his bankai is deadly to both his enemies and his allies
facts the first game shunsui plays is basically green light red light in squid game the first act where opponent gets same wounds in his bankai was foreshadowed in senjumaru's bankai where lille barro gets holes in his body also shunsui's bankai is the reason i consider bankai as best powerup in anime, it represents him in every way plus it is inspired by a play which is a tragic love story
The shikai is turning children's games into reality. His bankai is turning a stage play into reality. Now, Kubo said that his zanpakutou has various different kinds of "acts", the problem is that this zanpakutou has a preference to tragic stories, so its dangerous to Shunsui if one the stories involves more than one's death. And besides, the reason that he can't always use it is that it doesn't distinguish allies from foes, whoever gets caught in that "world filter", that was liberated in the begginning, is forced to act as the story dictates
Lille's second eye make basically every "physical" attack phase through him,but shunsui's bankai hurt you through law manipulation or attack your spiritual body directly
There's definitely levels to these Bankai, like we see here Shunsui's has such a large area of effect it literally shook the whole realm damn near. For scaling think back to Tosen's Bankai with the dome. And obviously so far Senjumaru's Bankai is the wildest one, it can be felt in all the realms. It takes some time to understand Shunsui's Bankai but yes it does not disciminate so he should use it carefully. Either way in Shikai form his Zanpakuto is so versatile that he usually can handle his battles with that.
remember that shinsuis shikai brings kids games to reality and you're forced to play the game. And the kids represent that any game can be played and you're at the mercy of the children dragging you into any type of game. His bankai brings any Japanese play to life and those in the radius have to follow through the play.
the thing about the bankai affecting the whole area, its described that people who have honed their bankai for a rly long time like yamamoto, unohana and kyoraku their bankai change their surroundings even without their influence the reatsu is so condensed that it affects reality. Now that doesn't mean that rukia for example is in this category, no her bankai is just a huge aoe so she doesnt count. Also even tho here we see shunsuis bankai affecting the whole city that doesn't mean all of them were gonna be affected, i see it as a double barrier where lets say his bankai only affect people within 1000m and the second barrier is his bankai changing the surroundings within 10000 m but his abilities won't reach the second barrier only the first. kind of a weird way to explain it but i did my best xd oh another example is sentumaru, her bankai affected all 3 worlds but her abilities obviously don't reach the entire 3 worlds that's why i said it's like 2 barriers were the first one is were the actual bankai abilities are affecting and the second barrier is just the surroundings changing due to the bankai wielders condensed reatsu
15:15 Grimmjow appearing in the same episode with Aizen was top episode for me, Old man Yama going crazy with bankai, top episode, this one, definitely among my favourites, probably my favourite so far. they went crazy with the sounds, music and showcasing his bankai. imagine if he did unleash it against Starrk
It’s hard to understand Shunsui’s abilities because he has seemingly infinite abilities. His shikai is bringing children’s games to life but they are so many and the craziest part of the shikai is his ability to switch games at a whim. You can know the rules and be about to win but Shunsui can just switch up the game. As for his Bankai. It’s bringing theatre to life. I’m not sure if it’s confirmed on not but if it’s like his Shikai this is just one of many plays he can bring to life. Seems more fair than his Shikai in that he has to follow the acts, can’t change it on a whim.
Props for catching on to biblically accurate angel inspiration for Lille Barro's holy form...you might be the only streamer to catch on by themselves...
The first game Shunsui plays is basically Red Light Green Light or What time is it Mr. Wolf Shunsui’s Bankai is a theater play about two lovers. Shunsui and his enemy both play the roles and each act is telling their story it ends with the man in the ocean not wanting to die so the women cuts his throat out of pity
Bro, you are the first reactor who actually noticed that Lille's transformation was ment to resemble biblical accurate depiction of Seraph. Allmost all of the people were like "is he a pokemon?" lol. Also do you remember from squad zero's fight how Oetsu was suprised that his blade didn't hit Lille? Yeah, now you know.
I think a simple way to describe Shunsui's sword abilities is that each game or act inflicts a curse. These curses are indiscriminate, they have fickle requirements and they outright warp realitty. The Shikai curses revolve around children's games where if you lose the curse takes effect and damages you. The Bankai curses revolve around a narrative where both Shunsui and his opponent are playing the beats of a story or a theater play
I’ll explain both their abilities real quick, barros X axis allows him to fire non existent “bullets” these bullets can’t miss and erase all space between him and his target making them impossible to block they also don’t have travel time meaning they hit instantly the moment he pulls the trigger the reason he keeps aiming for their chests is because that’s where their soul chain exists and also for plot reasons once his eye is open or when he transforms he’s permanently intangible like obito to all attacks and weapons he can also manipulate light and is immortal, teleport, paralyze ppl, and can fire his x axis rounds through the holes in his wings. Shunsui shikai allows him to turns games into reality where both players have to follow the rules, his bankai turns adult plays into reality these are very dark stories in contrast to his childish shikai, there’s 4 acts act one shares all wounds, act 2 gives an incurable sickness that make you bleed out, act 3 drains all their spiritual pressure in a abyss of water, and act 4 is a insta kill and all these are guaranteed to land because remember lilie is untouchable yet these still effected him it effects everything hence he can’t use it around allies he ran to the other side of the city just to use it and supposedly he has different version to his bankai depending on what play he decides to enact this not confirmed or stated directly tho but it is hinted at in the novels
Its a play. A samurai harms his wife. His guilt makes it feel like he can feel every wound. His guilt poisons and suckens him, and he becomes ill. He tries to commit suicide and his wife joins him - jumping into water. Then he cowards out and tries swimming up. The wife, kills her husband as he tries to chicken out. Then she stays in the water to drown and stay with him.
So the yellow environment that everyone experiences upon the bankai activation is not the same as the water and effects of the bankai itself. The area of effect of the bankai itself is smaller than the distortions of the area that ichigo and orihime and everyone else experienced. Since Nanao was the closest person to Lile and Shunsui, Shunsui apologized if she was dragged into the acts and since the Fake Karakura was smaller than the Royal Palace area, Ukitake told him not to use it. tldr: Damaging effects of the bankai are smaller than the yellow background effects. Also also, Lile Barro's intangibility bypasses all physical and energy based attacks completely, requiring conceptual level or high hax level attacks to deal damage to him.
The middle of the chest is the root of Soul Reaper powers. If you break the konpaku, the enemy is supposed to die and they are unable to use the powers.
Shunsui's Shikai is playing games. Bankai is pretty much when you grow up and stop playing games and use other source of entertainment (a play). It reflects growing up and being serious. It's the tradition old ppl way. If his shikai has multiple games, his Bankai also should have multiple "stories". Just like Zanka No Tachi that has East, West, South. Katen kyoketsu should be the Bankai and Karamatsu Shinju should be the variation.
So his shikai and bankai revolve around entertaining his zanpaktou. In shikai it's children's games. In bankai it's theater. For his Bankai he can do essentially whatever the hell he wants but he has to narrate it as a play and it has to be something his zanpaktou likes, so he's only got 4 acts written down. She likes tragedies so it's a play that ends in a murder-suicide. It affects everyone within range even and requires taking damage to do the 1st act so it's kinda situational. If Momo had run in her head would've been blown off one way or another lmao. (she'd be fine)
By the way, Shunsui doesn't want to use his bankai near others because it because it affects them mentally, causing them to be filled with despair and other negative emotions (hence why he asks Barro if the atmosphere seems dark and lonely). In the manga this was visualised by making the entire atmosphere have a dark blue background, but in the anime it's yellow to portray the backdrops used in traditional Japanese plays. This is why you can see Ichigo sweating and Orihime trembling. Also, I'm gonna copy over a comment explaining the "play" Shunsui put on that I found on another video that I thought did a pretty good job with its description (sorry to whoever I yoinked from): "So some context, his shikai is based on children's games and his bankai is based on theatre plays for adults. We know this because the play shunsui is telling is a suicide story of a couple, a man and a woman. Lillie Barro is the man, Shunsui is the woman. In Act 1: because the man hit the woman, he feels great shame as if the wounds he inflicted he can also feel them (and it becomes real damage). Act 2: the man starts feeling even worse for what he did and develops a sickness because of this great shame. Act 3: as a way to atone the man drops into a endless ocean hoping to drown and the woman also drowns with him because she pities him. However, the man becomes a coward, starting to swim up to the surface abandoning his promise to drown along with the woman. Act 4: As a result of all this, the woman wanting to get rid of the man's regret and cowardness, cuts his throat and then she drowns, as if the promise they made was never broken. "
His shikai spirit is a little girl and so plays kids games for entertainment, his bankai spirit is a grown woman….. she likes more adult forms of entertainment like tragic plays. It also reflects how he wants to be cheerful and playful and live for himself, but ultimately has to be serious, shoulder adult burdens often times placed on him by others and he only accepts them because he’s a good guy/ push over.
I'm pretty sure they're not running that fast here. The royal palace is a place where Renji and Rukia could barely move, or at least, in Ichibe's chambers.
Kyoraku's zanpakutou uses basically entertainment as its power usind childs entertainment (games) as his shikai and adults (theatrical plays) as his bankai. His bankai is based on a traditional japanese play consisting in 4 acts where lille plays the role of the man and shunsui the woman. In the first act the man hits his wife, and out of shame its filled with regret and guilt manifests as if the wounds he inflicted now are shared with him. In the second act overcome by even greater shame, the man develops a sickness, reflecting the emotional toll of his regret. In the 3rd act seeking atonement, the man plunges into an endless ocean, hoping to drown himself. Out of pity for him, the woman joins him in the depths. However, the man becomes a coward and swims back toward the surface, breaking his promise to die alongside her. In the final act the woman, seeking to erase the man’s regret and cowardice, cuts his throat.
Shunsui's Pink Kemono isnt his but another Woman's. It's very important for his backstory and for Men who have female Zanpakuto Spirits. But that's explained in the Novels Shunsui's Banaki has in a way Biblical references to it as well. Act 1: You share the same wounds you inflict on your opponent. Biblical version to it can be "Live by the Sword, Die by the Sword", "Thou Shall Not Touch My Annointed", "Judge not less ye be Judged" etc. Act 2: You get afflicted with an Incurable Disease. Biblical version can be "The Plagues GOD sent to Egypt", "Moses putting his hand in his Robe as The Burning Bush (Yahweh) told him and taking it out to see it was aflicted but doing it again it was fine", "Job being afflicted with a disease that Satan afflicted him with and tried to prove a point to Yahweh about his faith" etc Act 3: You drown until Death if your Spiritual Pressure is completely depleted, no matter how hard you try to swim up it's futile. Biblical verse can be "The Flood during Noah's time and most likely how those people tried to swim up top but couldn't" etc. Act 4 (which we didn't see bcus you ended it early 😭): Basically your paying for your transgressions. Biblical version can be "You Reap What You Sow", "Judas being hung for what he did", "The parable Jesus told about a Man begging for forgiveness on his debt and getting it but he didn't give that same forgiveness back to someone who owed him and was exposed by his original deptor and thrown in jail" etc.
ROAD TO 10k YALL. Please hit that sub button, its free! lets elevate our boy. My theory as to why Shunsui always has to go against the ranged/shooters is because NO ONE can go 1v1 vs him with Swords. He is way too strong and skilled. EDIT - You never cease to surprise me with your analytics bro. You are the ONLY reactor who actually has caught the IMAGE Kubo was going for with Lilles transformation. its a Seraphim mixed with Arceus LOL. AND the only person to catch the resemblence in the childs shadow and Shunsuis bankai lol. Also, Shunsuis Bankai is THEE ultimate domain expansion lol. any damage you have done to me, you also get....then you get hit with an incurable sickness that causes you to spit out blood from pretty much every hole in your body and THEN you get hit with the underwater act where not only does it drain OUR spiritual pressures until 1 dies but its impossible to escape the waters, and then the final act... if you are still alive by this part then dont worry, this is literally a 1 shot kill move.

Like imagine you’re fighting a guy and suddenly, now you’re inflicted with sickness, drowning, and feeling every bit of damage you did onto your opponent, all in a matter of moments, that’s gotta be a new level of disorienting
11:45 SOMEONE gets it!!! Unpopular op but i actually really like Lije's holy form
“Jumped Yamamoto in his office”🤣🤣🤣
@ it was kind of “jump” tbh 😂😂😂😂
@@Ishallreignsupreme I’m hip it just sounded funny to me😂😂
My understanding is that Shunsui/zanpaktou and Lille represent the actors and the other people represent the audience the golden hue is like stage lights on a theater. I feel like its similar to his shikai ability where he has some agency over what happens but not entirely. In order to avoid dragging in other "actors" into the play he activates away from everyone else. Also props on figuring out the Lille transformation on the first go around.
Shikai: Children's games
Bankai: Adults Theaters
So he creates a story where both he and his opponent are the main characters, be it Hero vs Villain or just a tragic romance story (like this one).
(hence the monolog from Ohana and Shunsui)
And when the man finally dies, the woman also dies in peace.
Bro, you always crack me with ur "Ukitiki" 😂😂😂
I see alot off people shitting on his form and I'm glad u see why it's so good cause he is technically a biblical accurate angel which why he said he is the one closest to God and it is said that when people see a angel they are terrified and can't move cause off there power and that's why shunsei couldn't move
Lille is like Obito but on absolute steroids. He can stay intangible until the battle is over and his attacks erases your soul
Bro these reacts are golden🤣
thank you for the reaction brotha know shi been rough but always looking forward to it thank you man
his shikai takes kids games and turns them into real life. His bankai takes a play and goes through the stages of the play, in the manga this chapters called the theatre suicide, so basically its a theatre play and u get beheaded at the end
4:53 basically Red light Green light gang😂😂
18:39 😂😂I thought I was the only one who put 2 and 2 together
3:20 that giggle kills me every time 😂
facts
the first game shunsui plays is basically green light red light in squid game
the first act where opponent gets same wounds in his bankai was foreshadowed in senjumaru's bankai where lille barro gets holes in his body
also shunsui's bankai is the reason i consider bankai as best powerup in anime, it represents him in every way plus it is inspired by a play which is a tragic love story
2:11 "lookin like a hollow" 😂
11:20, 15:45 the reaction to lille vollstandig 😂
15:31 ichigo sweatin'😂
Beautiful reaction bro new subscriber🤝🏻 (This ep was PEAK)
11:22 this why you're my favourite reactor
Simply put, Shunsui's bankai is like a theater play
Only person ive seen not clown on the transformation and knows the reason and such, what a g
7:10 Momo is what aizen is right now. unkillable, only she got their first. :D
remember that shinsuis shikai brings kids games to reality and you're forced to play the game.
Do you remember Senjumaru's bankai? There was something there 😏
His bankai is a Japanese theater play basically he is the director of his own play and the play is separated into four parts are four acts
Let’s go Broo, this might be your biggest video, hopefully !!
The first game Shunsui plays is basically Red Light Green Light or What time is it Mr. Wolf
Shunsui’s Bankai is a theater play about two lovers. Shunsui and his enemy both play the roles and each act is telling their story it ends with the man in the ocean not wanting to die so the women cuts his throat out of pity
shunsui's shikai: make child game into reality 😎
his bankai: make stories into reality ☠️
My man Sunshui releasing his op domain expansion
Yes she was in the zanpaktou rebellion arc
Bro, you are the first reactor who actually noticed that Lille's transformation was ment to resemble biblical accurate depiction of Seraph. Allmost all of the people were like "is he a pokemon?" lol. Also do you remember from squad zero's fight how Oetsu was suprised that his blade didn't hit Lille? Yeah, now you know.
6:10 his powers condition requires him to tell the rules to the enemy to start a game
Then she stays in the water to drown and stay with him.
the bankai have reality manipulation-type of abilities, that's why it can do those things
His bankai is a theatrical play!
Katen kyoketsu should be the Bankai and Karamatsu Shinju should be the variation.
the game he played at the start of the episode was red light green light btw
So his shikai and bankai revolve around entertaining his zanpaktou. In shikai it's children's games. In bankai it's theater. For his Bankai he can do essentially whatever the hell he wants but he has to narrate it as a play and it has to be something his zanpaktou likes, so he's only got 4 acts written down. She likes tragedies so it's a play that ends in a murder-suicide. It affects everyone within range even and requires taking damage to do the 1st act so it's kinda situational. If Momo had run in her head would've been blown off one way or another lmao. (she'd be fine)
This episode had your cologne on it!
She was in zamakuto rebellion arc. actually there was two, her and another one. since Shunsui has 2 swords
I been waiting for this goat to react FINALLY BRO
By the way, Shunsui doesn't want to use his bankai near others because it because it affects them mentally, causing them to be filled with despair and other negative emotions (hence why he asks Barro if the atmosphere seems dark and lonely). In the manga this was visualised by making the entire atmosphere have a dark blue background, but in the anime it's yellow to portray the backdrops used in traditional Japanese plays. This is why you can see Ichigo sweating and Orihime trembling.
Also, I'm gonna copy over a comment explaining the "play" Shunsui put on that I found on another video that I thought did a pretty good job with its description (sorry to whoever I yoinked from):
"So some context, his shikai is based on children's games and his bankai is based on theatre plays for adults.
2:56 he should have listened to Thanos...
My man is always fitted every video🔥🔥🔥
18:00 If Lille were to stay there and dont try to escape they would both have died
Red-Light, Green-Light with extra steps
Finally you are the only reactor that got what Lille’s transformation is inspired from
ur goated. ur the only reacter to know why lille looks like that in vollstandig
He took his head off 😂
I'm telling yall..I'd take momos durability anytime..
Shunsui's Pink Kemono isnt his but another Woman's. It's very important for his backstory and for Men who have female Zanpakuto Spirits. But that's explained in the Novels
Shunsui's Banaki has in a way Biblical references to it as well.
Biblical version can be "The Plagues GOD sent to Egypt", "Moses putting his hand in his Robe as The Burning Bush (Yahweh) told him and taking it out to see it was aflicted but doing it again it was fine", "Job being afflicted with a disease that Satan afflicted him with and tried to prove a point to Yahweh about his faith" etc
Act 3: You drown until Death if your Spiritual Pressure is completely depleted, no matter how hard you try to swim up it's futile. Biblical verse can be "The Flood during Noah's time and most likely how those people tried to swim up top but couldn't" etc.
Act 4 (which we didn't see bcus you ended it early 😭): Basically your paying for your transgressions. Biblical version can be "You Reap What You Sow", "Judas being hung for what he did", "The parable Jesus told about a Man begging for forgiveness on his debt and getting it but he didn't give that same forgiveness back to someone who owed him and was exposed by his original deptor and thrown in jail" etc.
imagine if there was a zanpakuto that meant you had to explain your ability to them and you win no diff :D
I don’t remember if it was in the manga but lille is called the man who borders godhood
Nah you not mad late. You right on time. I just got off of work. Now to enjoy this with some breakfast.
Freeze tag, red light green light stop
His Bankai is the play too actually, but in the theater, not on the playground.
Shunsui's Zanpakuto seems to warp reality and thats why he was able to hurt Lille, otherwise I don't think he would have been able to fight him.
My goat 🐐🐐
20:31 Nemu's.
lille baro is voiced by none other than ainz sama and rengoku
HHHEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLL YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
This ep surpassed yama vs yhwach btw both in rating and in fight
the game is like statues in the west
idk but lille barro normal form is better and cool than sklaverei transformation, it's so nasty i think.
Lille barro also said that no weapon can kill him then shunsui has to used his bankai without attack him by sword
It's pretty much similar to Red light green light
The shikai is turning children's games into reality. His bankai is turning a stage play (theater) into reality (copied from a another comment)
