⚠️UPDATE (9 January 2023): there is a new update which can provide an opportunity for a person without vaccination proof, an option to fly to Thailand.
“If passenger fails to provide document proving these requirements re met, THE PASSENGER IS SUBJECTED YO BE TESTED AT THE PORT OF ARRIVAL”.
I really hope they will provide more details and more options soon.

All new rules for tourists had been canceled yesterday. Back to the same. Enjoy visiting Thailand.
Omg really? So we don't need insurance?
Is this true? I don’t have to get the vaccine!? 😍
This is crazy!!!! They will have way less tourists from now on.
Nah, this is chasing the Chinese money, they will have more tourists
Why do you think like that?
@@stevenrostron6671 😂 such a stupid statement.
@@knockknock1246 How so champ? Just about every country in the world is chasing Chinses money and bending over backwards to appease them. 1/3 of the tourists to Thailand pre-COVID were Chinese.

Thanks for the news updates. I'm coming back to Thailand in less than a month, so this really helps!
Glad it helped 👍 enjoy Thailand 🇹🇭😉
Thank you for the heads up Gabi. Already shared with a lot of others and everyone has pulled the pin on Thailand for now. 👍
I arrived yesterday … nothing is needed… just a return ticket to your country….

Must have two shots that don't prevent transmission and are dangerous. Way to go Thailand.

Dude, Mr. Prakan (Allianz) is so hard to reach in case of emergency, last summer I followed your advice and because I don't speak French I had hard time to get to talk to a real person at that so-called emergency number in Belgium or Netherlands. I sent an email, got the answer after 2 days. Maybe I'm not that savvy, I prefer it simple, next time I will get a local Thai based insurance, save the time and the money on international calls. Nice video, thanks for sharing the news!
Great job Gabi. I'm new to your site: you're a very clear and pragmatic presenter! keep up the great work. :)
thanks :) From time to time I enjoy to become a news reporter :D
That insurance is a great deal. Doesn't seem to matter about age or pre-existing conditions, either. Thank you for sharing.😊
Thanks Gabi for the information, so valuable. I have received so many tips and other good things by following you. You do incredibly good reporting. Take care!
Greetings Cina
Thank you 🙏🏻
Wow, shocking to reintroduce these rules again! I'm glad I got to travel around the country last August, looks like I won't be heading back for a while. In other news, Indonesia has dropped all of its covid restrictions.
Indonesia has only relaxed some internal restrictions, not for incoming tourists. They still demand vxx for incoming tourists.
@@newgabe09 Oh I thought I read that they are no longer asking for vaccination proof, guess the news is still circulating
@You Tube Shocking that governments think that they can control a virus
Not true. They still require jabs!!
@user-zg3yu1ro3i Really? Governments really care about the citizens, okay.
Hello Gabi, Would you consider doing a quick video on how travel insurance works if/when you need to use it. Cheers!
Dang I travelled to Thailand from Canada on December 13 was in Thailand for 3 weeks left BKK January 3rd and now visiting my family in Brunei 🙏.. I have had 3 vaccination plus a booster shot before I left Canada. My friends in Thailand said this changes is in effect till end of January but you never know with the covid situation. Hoping for the best..stay safe!
Great Job Happy New Year
thanks for the info reminded me of your old videos beginning of covid-19
ahahah yes, that's how everything started :)
Same. So sad isn’t it
Hallo Gabi. Not great info for travelers but it's not something we can do about unfortunately. Appreciate your information. 👍
I've booked my flight for March thailand and bangkok....I just hope for the best 👌
Thanks Gabi. Thai's afraid to single out the Chinese so the rest of the tourists have to accommodate them. Here's a point... what right do thailand have to say what u have to do with your body, when u want to spend your good money in their economy
It is their country, their rules, what right do you have to tell another nation how to try and protect it’s citizens?
@Robert Housten I agree. But not with the "protect their citizens" what does 2 vaccines do lol

G20 recently agreed on vax passports for international travelers.
Expect many countries to follow.
One more step towards a digital 5g mobile phone controlled society, bin your phone and see how you get on in today's Google/weibo world .
This is just to appease China and they'll probably back down after some time as they usually do. Vaccines are worthless unless you're over 70 anyways and everyone has gotten COVID and realized it's not as scary as they were led to believe.
Yeah even worse because they only accept Jabs and no pcr Any more

Do you think the official rules will change to accepting PCR-test etc? The ministry of tourism in Thailand was not to pleased by this announcement from what I understand.
I got home this week luckily
China still has restrictions on passport applications, they have not released a date, so don't expect and instant surge, may take a while as certain provinces will take priority.

Thank you! I’ve been procrastinating on a 30 day trip and will now consider spending my $$$ in Vietnam. The Ha Giang Loop via motorbike and Ha Long Bay cruise will suffice to build my trip around.
Don't forget to get your Vietnam visa before you go, they're not doing visa on arrival these days. Takes about 3 days, sometimes it's a bit tricky to get the payment through but if it shows 'unsuccessful' then keep trying.
The Ha Giang Loop sounds fun 😉

I have a question for you :
Could you recommend a place to stay in Samui for one night only near the lomprayah pier before heading the following day to another island. A place that is clean , safe and affordable.
Thank you in advance !
thanks, Unfortunately I don't really have a place to recommend in that area, sorry.
Thanks Gabi 👍
Hi Gabi we want to go in December to phuket this year, The beggining/ mid December. Do you recommend? I heard there was alot of rain last December ?
Good post
this is ridiculous
I am okay with it. Safety before fun
@@dipankarbaiswal6506 it's not safety. Most other countries are making people do the test before departure. If they don't test people tons will have covid when entering. Vaccines don't stop people getting the virus. It's pointless.
@user-zg3yu1ro3i if i stay in my country or fly to the moon does not change anything. you dont get it: this rule DOES NOT TARGET THE PROBLEM! how do you protect others? with a 1 year old vaxxine? common, anybody knows a vaxxine does not avoid getting it or spreading the virus. i'd suggest reading some current news ;) the only thing that can actually help is TESTING. test anyone but having two 1 year old vaaxines for a complete different variation of C. in your data says nothing at all. it only says you got vaxxed but says absolutely nothing about your current status.
@user-zg3yu1ro3i i dont think anything you mention. you just dont get the point. Anybody can spread the virus. All of us, same. the vaxxines do NOT HELP OR AVOID this. Jesus, please read some news or medical studies for gods sake before coming here and blabla! this is common medical sense and the reason most of all countries STOPPED the vaxxinations. you still live in 2020.
Thanks Gabi This ends on the 31st according to Government websites
I got here on Dec 22, 20022 so Just rounding up my vacation in Thailand. I flying out on the 10th just in time to escape the influx of Chinese tourists coming in as they get a month off for their new year. I visited Chiang Mai, Pattaya, and Bangkok. Everything is open, Nana, Soi Cowboy, Walking street Pattaya along with lots of new weed stores.(though I didn't smell much on the streets). The crowd is just right at the moment. The venue has enough people to have fun but not too many where it's shoulder-to shoulders. This includes nightclubs, markets, restaurants, hotels, beaches, and walking streets.
What I noticed from last year: Price is up about 10-20% a little more traffic (not as much as pre-pandem) and a lot more foreigners and families.
I live in Miami so coming here is a Vacation even though I look like a local. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, at times you get ignored cuz they think you are broke and on the other hand(if they can't tell) I get better local prices.
I'll be at the BKK airport 10th and 15th. Let us see how crowded it is with the new regulations.
WTF Im leaving in 3 days - i have not been vaccinated twice, you mean I now have to go to the doctor for an exemption letter - I am stressing the FUCK OUT! WHAT THE HELL THAILAND
I leave in two weeks unvaxxed and got to find an exemption letter somehow.
Are you stressed? I went to Vietnam in my underwear to get a second tourist visa to Thailand, leaving behind my paid condo, my computer and a bunch of stuff. I was 99% sure I would get a visa. It is 12 degrees in Hanoi and I get the news that you can only get a visa a month after your last visit to Thailand. And now I need a vaccine which I do not have. How do I get my stuff back?????! This is stress.
@LiLu Barssi - I am leaving to Thailand on 11th January and not vaccinated as well. Please let me know if you have found a solution to this as I am stressing as well. I have no idea what the exemption letter will contain as I have not had or recovered from covid in the past 180 days.

I have a wedding planned for March in Phuket and now my dad can't make it because of these new rules.
sorry to hear that. He can try to find a doctor that can provide a letter. * • All passengers over the age of 18 must show proof to their airline of at least two Covid-19 vaccines.
Alternatively passengers could also present a letter from a doctor certifying that they have recovered from Covid-19 in a period between 7 days and 6 months (180 days), or have a medical certificate from a doctor stating they are unable to get a vaccine.
If I had 3 times Pfizer but it s already out of date (if counting each 6 months one booster), I don’t really want to have the booster anymore! 3 Covid vaccines are enough..! Is it available expired booster last year for Thailand?
@Ride with Gabi thanks Gabi. He tried to get permission to not get vaccine from doctor (since he has had problems with blood clots in the past) but he lives in Australia and apparently the rules are strict. But he HAS had covid not too long ago so he could try on that basis. Cheers.
@@liliflu66 doesn’t matter when you had the vaccines. That’s the stupid part 😂
i am quite sure they gonna kick this stupid rule again. very soon as it makes no sense at all. covid is over, mass vaxxines also, so week after week less people will have the recuirements.
I came to Bangkok 3 days ago, was supposed to continue my flight to Manila. Thai Airways blocked my flight because of "expired" pcr test taken over 48 hours before departure from Finland. Finnair flight started 2 hours later, and that's why they blocked me, also they wanted to know (in Check in desk) that what I am doing in the Philippines and do i have a vaccine. Now trying to fly today to Manila again with Cebu pasific which says, if not antigen test, passengers will test at the Manila airport, but Thai Airways blocked me totally. I

The rules for #2 need to be made more clear. PCR tests aren't required for American citizens returning from abroad. However, PCR tests are required for Chinese nationals entering the USA. So will I need health insurance? Thailand needs to provide an official list of countries which require it.
