What to say, as a gamer and a crypto lover, Star Atlas is avery ambitious project. I wish luck for the developers to get everything done, there's so many genres tried to combined in this one single game. There are many game developers out there who has many many years of experience, and none of them ever succesfully or even tried to get so many things (game genres) together. I'm very excited about this, and follow the project, hope it will be succesfull, and they can fulfill their plans. Good luck!

Teaser is nice but so far they haven't released in-game material at all. Just animations / concept art.

Yeah, nah, the best gaming project would be one that is actually under development and nearing completion, this is just a promotional video on how they imagine the game to be. Zero proof the can produce something that even the best game producers could easily fail at. #StarCitizen #cyberpunk
You do realise this is going to be a browser game? Actual gamers are not excited about Star Atlas, the excitement is by people hoping to make money. I like money just as much as the next guy, but as a gamer I will play real games on my PC and occasionally check into to this browser app to see how much money I have farmed.
Think about how much $ people are pouring into this game and nobody has seen a single second of gameplay! nobody!

The focus should be on 70% entertainment and only 30% on financial benefits, This industry is for entertainment so if the players will get in only for the financial gains, it will have a huge negative impact. That also goes toward the creators. If they can pull out the kind of entertainment that is way far beyond any other NFT gaming can showcase then the more economic benefits that comes with it.

This might be the one game finally pulling me away from World of Warcraft which I've been playing for over a decade. I was a top 5 mount farmer in Europe incl. Russia and top 15 World (although missing the first 5-6 years), spent thousands of bucks and sacrificed hundreds of days farming and camping only to have nothing to show for once I leave. Everything will be locked on my account which I am not allowed to sell or just be deleted. Blockchain solves such problems! I am already farming ATLAS tokens:).

Finding a diamond that size makes No sende, it would instantly devalue all prices in diamonds, unless you are determined to construct cities with it and carve planetary stations and change every single hardware into diamond ware

Diamonds arent valuable..... the owners of the mines horde them and rel3ase it slowly, so it has value...... same for this planet.... whoever controls it, will supply at a low rate and be a trillionaire

technically it wouldn't devalue anything since the planet sized diamond itself will have one owner. Depending on what the owner decides to do with it will determine everything else. Owning something everyone else wants in the galaxy is what gives it value.
@@user-yn8hr1uq1f Diamonds are only useful for cutting softer materials. Plus, there's a lot of them on earth. Plus, they can be artificially created in a lab. Plus, there's presumably a lot of them on many planets throughout the galaxy. A planet sized diamond is useless and worthless unless all other alien races suddenly care about making jewelry out of diamonds for some reason. Even then, it's impossible for one entity to to control all galactic diamond sources and artificially inflate prices as is done on earth.

If this project will succeed, this will indeed be encrypted in the history of NFT games. It will be like Blockbuster if compared to a movie. Like Avatar, Starwars, The Avengers.. on the planform of NFT gaming world. I hope the creators of this project can reach their goal and realize this amazing project.

Ambitious project. Talking about AAA games, it will be ground breaking if they can pull off this type of 'Star Citizen' into launch.
Lol star citizen, 10 years and counting, and they are actual game makers. This is a nft cash grab.
@@earthenwhere2535 Well star citizen pivoted the game on 2017. What they developed initially, up to 2.6.3 was scraped. They pretty much started from scratch when they switch the engine to Luberyard. They learned a ton of things along the way. Maybe UE5 will be better suited, and maybe the NFT ships will appreciate in value. Star Atlas has 20 employees, only one is a concept designer that comes from CIG. I would need to see Phase 3 , dev start and Human Resources working to hire people. A Jpeg, whether it is a NFT or not, does not hold any value.
At least CIG has built more than 80 ships (more than a hundred including variants) to character metrics and with a ton of functionality. Most ships have physicalised components (The engineering profession will be complex in the game) and in the short term, inventories... as persistence drops. Also gaming loops are getting done. The beginning of the dev of SC was a total mess, up to the acquisition of Foundry 42. Then it was another three years til they designed the game. Star Atlas hopefully will learn from this and will take less time, we will see.
Star Citizen is about to finish tech that took years to dev into AWS for networking, as well as databases and the economy simulations. Now, if they made UEC a crypto, and the ships NFTs.... but they have something to show, buggy and not performing, but a ton of work has been done

Does anyone remember the launch of the Atlas game ? ( creators of ARK) It was the worst game launch I've ever witnessed and the game died, the project was purely driven by marketing & sales and they could not deliver to what was promised. I love the idea, concept of StarAtlas ... but please dont pull an Atlas .. all I am asking. :D

Insane! "Play to earn" unfolds the new paradigm in Finance. Users/players are now treated as contributors and not as customers. So they are rewarded instead of being charged. Projects like Atlas are very important for giving everyone a chance to become rich. Great work.👏

If the characters in this game or movie would find that diamond size planet: Wouldn't the value of diamonds automatically drop astronomically in value making the whole point of seeking for this diamond planet kinda pointless ? I feel that illuvium is overhyped, low budget, and big youtubers are being sponsored by it. Star Atlas on the other hand takes things to the next level. Better website, better teaser video, and the amount of effort they put in their games are miles better than any NFT game out there on the market.

Trailer ≠ Gameplay
At least Illuvium shares gameplay screen shots for their games, star atlas won’t even share any gameplay details or pictures at all for a mini-game that is supposed to come out in a month, yet they are already selling “NFT ships” with flowery language that appeals to nothing but the imagination of what the gameplay might “potentially” be like. It’s sus af, and if the star atlas mini game (which the devs are hoping to use to fund the “real” game) was actually fun, you would think they would be marketing gameplay screenshots and trailers already and not just CGI that appeals to people’s imagination to generate hype and sell ships

Excited for the launch guys but wanted to provide feedback on the trailer: Your site(which I DO love btw!) has been WAY too laggy to watch it, tried on three different internet connections(youtube is totally fine though) Also, the graphics of the trailer were GORGEOUS but it was way too short and we(best buddy and I) thought the narrator's voice over kinda SUCKED(sorry narrator-just being honest). Still stoked for the launch and the project but wanted to give some honest feedback. Good luck moving forward, will be an atlas and polis token holder and player!!!!
The narrator is one of the main devs or the creator. So I've heard. Lol. He should hire someone to do it.
i understand you have seen many voice actors and that's why you can feel even slightest difference.
but on other side i really liked his narration . it was like simple yet convincing and powerful enough for normal people like me. and indeed his voice made the feel of the trailer complete.
as i read above, if he is one of Dev's guy. just wow...its incredible how good he did the voice without any experience in voice acting.

Have to say it would be better if the voice actor was different
I actually think it gives it a more realistic, human vibe. The character sounds like a space pirate, perhaps someone like Bautista. Could actually have been pulled from actual dialogue from the game.

Star citizen has been in dev for a long time...this looks similar and only has a trailer. i expect this to be a long time before we see actual game play

Unless there's some new use for the word electromagnetic, that doesn't make much sense, haha. The problem is that there is no medium for the sound waves to travel through (unless all the sounds are simulations/recordings coming from a speaker). :p

@@incoplanje7392 In simple terms, it's not traveling sound that is being captured, it's (mostly) EMR being converted to sound.

Maybe I'm missing something, but personally I prefer the aesthetic of reality (no sound at all - at least not without converting other signals into sound). Will you at least consider implementing options to switch off "EM spectroscopy" in game? ^^
