- Rockhounding for fire agates Hunting part II
Thanks for checking out part 2 of my fire agate hunting adventures! Definitely found more beauties with the reds and oranges, and after closer inspection, found a few with some color play in them! Saddle Mountain, AZ really produces some beautiful agates and hopefully, in the future, I can return to rockhound for more fire agates!
THANKS FOR WATCHING EVERYONE :)

Honestly you and I could both benefit from googling that question lol I know much more about Lake Superior agates but haven't dived into fire agates too far.
@ agate dad CLR cleaner give em a good soak then a stiff plastic brush scrubber next time you get out this way look me up and I’ll hook you up with some stuff from my collections petrified wood, shadow agates, seam agates, amethyst specimens, ect.ect.ect. Thx for sharing see you on the next one
My husband worked at the Morenci open-pit copper mine for 23 yrs. located in southeastern Arizona. Between the city of Clifton, which is below the mine site alongside the San Francisco River (the 7th fastest running river in the US) and Safford is the Black Hills Fire Agate Rock Hounding Area. Though it has been picked over, and over, it is possible to find true fire agates among the litter of chalcedony of all shapes and sizes. Winter is the best time to pick, as the vegetation has died back and snakes are hibernating, or whatever they do. We have spent so many happy, exciting hours searching, picking and hauling our rocks the 25 minutes it took to get back to the mining-site-town where we lived. We'd put Dawn dish soap and water in the buckets and let soak, keeping the best ones out to clean right away.
Another site about 45 minutes away is the, then, Sandra Day O'Connor ranch on the border with New Mexico where the entrance to the ranch is a few miles into New Mexico but the ranch is in Arizona. There is a large wash where a lot of new rock material travels by Monsoon rains, some tremendous gully-washers, to refill, like out with the old, in with the new type of situation. Found lots of large chalcedony pieces and agates including one of my best finds, a pink, goose sized egg-shaped hollow beauty with a small hole towards the tip and some agate lines around the egg. Gorgeous with a flashlight behind it! Further on is the Round Mountain site which has more fire than the pink egg area. A 4-wheel drive is recommended.
Also, the San Francisco River has many, many different types of rocks as well as the area around the mine. Oh, and it is shallow enough to walk in. We've found apache tears, azurite, malachite, chrsycholla, chalcedony of massive proportions, just a fantastic variety of rocks and minerals. I love rocks and Rockhound wherever we go.
When my husband took early retirement in 2015, he single handedly transported our rocks, at the very least weighing a ton, 21/2 hours to where we moved, Benson, AZ, where we now reside. Here I find more jasper of many different colors than anything else but there is an area to go to find desert roses of gypsum or selenite. At 63 I can't do as much rockhounding as I used to, mainly because I am on oxygen, but I get out when I can.
Oh, one last thing, kind of a peeve of mine, when finding chalcedony with orange/red in it you say you found color, which let's anyone with you know you found some nice looking color. If you're in a good patch of rocks and someone yells they found fire and look at you like 'well, come see it' and you sigh and go the 10 or 20 feet of chalcedony everywhere to look and it's just some red or orange, you want to strangle them! Fire is totally unique. It can be green, brown, red, copper and even blue, or all together, with a luminous, shifting (like opal) shimmer and depth to it. But it is really thin layers of these colors and if you go too far in attempts to shape it, you can cut or grind right through it and ruin the stone. I wish I could upload pictures, I have 2 fire agates on my dresser and pics of my pink egg on my phone.
Anyway, I enjoy your videos and your excitement and joy when you talk agates! Happy and safe rockhounding to you! May your pockets always be full!
I was thinking that he must not know what a fire agate is if that's what he's calling a fire agate. Lol
I love watching your videos. In this video I love all the bird sounds in the background. It was fun to watch and listen to.
Glad to see you made it down to our neck of the woods....er.....desert. Hunting fire agates gets tougher every year. There are a few fee sites like Cuesta and Opal Hill on the Arizona/California border and the most famous private site, Deer Creek Fire Agate Mine in Graham County west of Safford. Slaughter Mountain has some very fine material but it is on the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The three primary public land sites include the one you were at and the largest in area, Saddle Mountain along with Black Hills and Round Mountain near the New Mexico border have been picked over pretty good, though each time a big wind storm or thunderstorm hits, new material is exposed. There is a guy on UA-cam that has found a site north of Phoenix but I don't know much about it. The best gem maker of fire agate I have seen is Fire Agate Mark, also on UA-cam. He buys most of his rough from a dealer that comes out of Mexico. The quality pieces out of Mexico have the famed blue and green along with the usual red, orange and gold. Looks and sounds like you were pretty close to Interstate 10. I used to pick up a lot of the solid white chalcedony as it tumble polishes so nicely. The majority of the host rock at Saddle Mt. is basalt and basaltic andesite. The fire agate and chalcedony are notorious difficult to clean. I start with a toothbrush and dental pick. Some of that "rind" is calcium carbonate (calcite) and is best removed in a bath of muriatic acid followed by putting the rocks in a separate container with water and baking soda to neutralize the acid. For removing dirt and discoloration out of tight spots, I sometimes grind out the crack with a Dremel with a pointed diamond bit under dripping water. You may have to repeat some of this following the first grind in a tumbler since the large grit can get lodged.
15:18 Casually flips a meteorite out of the way to pick up a fire agate. :P j/k
Haha wouldn't that be funny?!?
Wow, how incredibly fun to find spots with so much to collect. Thank you for showing us all the beauty!
Thanks for watching:)
These are so plentiful! It’s amazing to see so many just laying around!
I know!! I want to go back soo bad!
Hiya, I use regular white vinegar to soak them in, pure vinegar will eat some of the calcite off, but it won't take the basalt off though. If you go watch Mining America he shows how to clean, to how to work the stones.
I hope you have a great day.
Great tips and back to you too!!
Oh my gosh! Some great finds . I am so jealous
Nice finds!!
AZ has some beautiful minerals!!
I SAW A LOT OF THIS KIND OF ROCK WHEN I WAS HIKING OUTSIDE TUCSON AREA BUT DID NOT KNOW WHAT IS WAS .I KNOW NOW AFTER WATCHING THIS VIDEO.NICE JOB AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR VIDEO.
Just came across this video, you must have been in heaven. Everywhere you looked you found beautiful fire agates. Some were absolutely gorgeous. I love this part of the country. It boggles my mind that each state , country, island have their own unique rocks. I’ll have to look for the very cleaned agates you just found.
Nice job buddy!!!!! Sweet finds. Thanks for taking us along for the hunt.
Thanks man!
Those are gorgeous
My rock hunting ADD would be so bad if I was finding that much stuff so fast. I would die of thirst before I made it back to the truck!
Hahaha it was a hard time getting into the vehicle to leave!
Been there and got heat exhaustion. Now I bring two containers of water. When I reach the end of one I know I have to return to the vehicle and I have enough water to make it there. And I use the first container for extra small rocks I pick up on the way back.
Yeah I dont fare too well in the heat, even when its in the 80s, gotta stay hydrated!
Two of my favorite rock hounds in one day....ugh today is fixing to be good😊😊😊
☺ such an honor, your kindness warms my hearts, thank you!
Beautiful! Relaxing to watch all the way through

Prescott, Arizona🌵
Ah, you visited Tonopah a couple years ago! Nice place and great finds! A bit tougher than spotting them up in Duluth but looks like you had a good time!
I grew up in MN myself (all over the state, from N. Minneapolis, up to Bemidji, and down to Albert Lea), and moved out to South AZ 11 years ago. (health reasons, couldn't take the cold anymore). Your channel helps remind me of the good times, and it's kind of nice seeing you come out this way too.
The stones are beautiful! I was holding my breath, though, expecting to see a rattlesnake!
Last two are my favorites
Yes indeed! You definitely got into some better stuff there!
You bet! It was a great spot!
I want to add this to my bucket list, wow!
It sure is!! Saddle mountain
i found one the size of a baseball if not a little bigger down in one of the washes..luckily for me.i own land in Tonopah and that as well as either green opal and or jade are all over my property.my dad and i will be pulling out metal detectors in hopes of a meteor and precious metals out on it.those are some great great finds.i found a few good quality ones but you had better luck then i did..glad to see others enjoying it as well :) thank you for the vid.
Flying in, lightweight...Flying out with14 buckets of rocks!!! LOL
You know it!!!
Thank you for producing this video. Very pleasant. We spent the month of February between the Tucson rock and gem show, Phoenix, and the mountains above Quartzsite. I have learned from Rock Hounding not to worry about the names that other people give to particular rocks. The white chalcedony that you collected is a favorite of ours. We call those desert flowers. I am trying different types of bathroom tile cleaners and muratic acid to clean them. I am tempted to throw a handful in the Tumblr.
Thanks so much for your kind words I definitely learned a lot from this hunt, cant wait to get back down there in a few years and hunt down more beauties! I'll have to give those methods a try!
Wow some of those are awsome Taylor xx Really enjoyed the vids xx
Thanks so much Klaire, it's really appreciated!!
Oh Wow! What a dream spot!! What fun you had. Look forward to seeing them at their best 👍Good for you!
Cant wait to get them all back and cleaned up!
Lol.. I can see why! Are you going back out ? If so hope you find a big red☺ Its a different type of beautiful out there. Thanks for sharing👍
@@katherinedoughty839 I plan to but it wont be for years unfortunately
There is a guy who lives there who is choosy about what he picks up.It is so cool to watch you pick up so many!Such a great place, and glad you got to enjoy it!
I'm sure the next time I go I will be more picky, but I am glad I grabbed what I did ☺ love it all!
Nice surface finds, beautiful finds, thank you for sharing your adventures, 😊💙✌🏻just noticed part 1 popped up nothing like watching in wrong order 😝
Hahaha!!
Awesome rocks!
Thanks :)
Isn't hunting fire chalcedony like the best Easter Egg hunting ever! And you're the first person to lay hands on the gorgeous stuff, who knows how old it is! Best exercise ever - step, bend, reach, flex, raise or hold position and pick pick pick, stand, step, turn, reach repeat repeat repeat!!! Then you realize your 5 gallon bucket is now 20 feet away with your hands and pockets full! Baaaaaack to the truck to refill water, grab another bucket and head back out to where you left off.... uhm, no, cause you see more over therrrre and head off that way! Sounds like paradise doesn't it!!
I tell myself to be selective, don't pick up every piece you see, but my buckets fill rather quickly. Love them all!!! Awesome finds you got there!
Next time i go, I will be sooo picky, but I had so much fun then and loved finding it all!
@@AgateDad we lived in Chandler back in 2000 and went out to that area back then - but now being gone for 20 years, I'm wondering if you could direct us towards a productive side if the mountain?? No specific details of course, if you found the best honey hole, but general area would be good. We are now in our 60's and would rather not wear ourselves out looking in an unproductive area and come home with nothing or very little.
We have an almost volleyball size piece of Chalcedony that is from out there but Lord help me to remember which road we were on and where we found it!! Seems like it would have been on West side, but ??? Any suggestions you can pass on?
Nice reveal on that large chunk of agate. Nice finds. ☺️
Thanks!
Shore sum purdy rocks ya found there. LOL Thanks for sharing and havagudun Taylor
Haha thanks and you too!
Thanks buddy for the great video my friend
Thanks so much John!!
Great finds! We have some around here that have blueish green colors. I don't know much about fire agates but love them!
Thats really cool!
Wow so cool, wish I knew about rocks when I was out there. Besutiful fire agates!
Next time you go hit me up!
@@AgateDad will definitely do!
Wōwō! Nice finds🙏🏽❤️
What can I say but that was funny look but didn't pick up the wrong ones....😂😂😂😂....I liked those not as excited as the agates....😂😂😂😂....Great job mijo....love grdma....
I just cant help getting ansy watching this video!! I just want to pick up so many that your camera glances over! And I know there's so much out there that it's ok to fill a 5 gallon bucket (maybe 2)😃
It's been 20 years since we've been out in that area and as we recently moved back to AZ I'm trying to talk hubby into taking a trip back out there. I don't know if there is a particular area that seems to have a better selection over another area, so well see if we can find a spot like this in the video. Such a nice haul!
So nice
Thanks!!
Those are amazing! Cleaning these beauties is an ordeal though. I soaked mine with bleach, dish soap and water for a week, brush the stones one by one with a steel brush you can get from HomeDepot. Then I pick the crevices with a thin pin. I do another soak for a week and repeat the process. Then I rinse with water. Enjoy your finds, Agate Dad. I can’t wait to see how you carve and polish them so I’ll get some ideas. Congratulations on your new babies!
Thanks for the tips! I am going to try to start the process soon!!
After all cleaning "ritual" is done you could have a surprise. I found a nice and clear quartz crystal. Small but beautiful.
@@irishdz6585 that's awesome, will make sure to check the bottom of the bucket!
Wow so many everywhere
Right, ever few feet!
Holy 💩 Taylor! 🔥🔥🔥✨🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
I am in awe and am so jelly right now! I think I'd have to keep pinching myself to know that it was real. I'm trippin for you over here! Shoot...some of those looked like it was fire opal! If any look like glass...very well likely. Absolutely a trip of a lifetime dude. Thanks for taking us along with you. Gosh this is amazing😎🐾
Haha thanks Marlaina, honestly since making these I've found out about so many more treasures down there, fire opal is one, I'll have to so some research and cross reference my finds!
@@AgateDad oh for sure! I'd put money on it that you at least got a couple pieces. Crossing fingers for ya! 🤞
I'm just catching up on your videos. I've just returned from 5 weeks in Arizona. I came home with about 150 lbs of rocks. Lots of Tumbling ahead.
Wow! What a phenomenal haul!! Thanks for watching Tim!
Another nice one Taylor.
Thanks so much!
Gidday and Wow, can’t help thinking you were like “ a kid in a candy shop “ lol obviously in a very mature way.... love watching your vids. from Australia. Cheers
Haha yeah that's how it feels sometimes, rockhounsing helps keep the spirit young!
Nice finds.
Thanks Rita!
those are s amazing!
Thanks!!
Happy you found a little color. I now know what to send. The opaque colors on the top are opalized layers. The further down you go from the road the darker and larger they become.
The large stone you found at the first location will have fire. 😁
I also found hyalite opals this week and will add to the box.
Glad you had a great time.
Yeah I really wish I could have spent more time there but it gives me a standing itch to get back and hound for bigger and better ones! Loved the adventure though. I remember starting out hunting lake superior agates and getting so excited finding micro agates lol I was in shock at the beauty and size of these fire agates. Next time I can breath and focus in on looking for darker stones! Cant wait to get back in the future!
The first year i went out i collected my allowed 250 pounds of white chalcedony😂🤣😂
But as in all things in Life you learn to discern. Much more is available in the area if sought. Pink desert silica, hyalite, petrified wood, banded ironstone, fire opals, etc can be found there as well. Ill send you some. Have a great weekend.
Thank you so much Grace, you are a treasure! And I hope to visit again someday!
Good Nice 💎
merci pour le rêve superbes Agates
Crazy! A lot of those ones that are "bubbly" and look like frozen water (3:31, 4:52, 10:07, etc) are called Bubble Opal in Utah. Apparently, I have a boatload of that fire agate from a special and very rarely picked spot I found within 30 minutes of where I live. The location in this seems like heaven to me; unfortunately it's more than a half days drive from my typical areas so a bit out of the way. Love the video!
Yeah they look soo cool! Utah sounds so amazing!
I look forward to the video where you hunt the Yellowstone. You might have to buy a bigger saw, though. 😃
How beautiful are those???
Currently tumbling a few fire agates from Az. So many beautiful rocks.
The browns with bubble will have extra fire, after polish. like your videos! J from San Diego ......
Thanks Jay! After cleaning them more I am seeing more fire in therez absolutely beautiful!
Agate is a generous stone that can be found in a multitude of shapes and colors. Me personally she is one of my favorite stones
I completely agree 👍
I am a recent subscriber and I'm going back to see what I've missed, and these fire opals are great! Don't know how I'd go home without picking up almost everything 😂
Awesome finds, the agate fields here just thawed out!
I would love to hit up a field but dont know anyone and haven't had time to ask anyone!
Agate Dad yes, it is hard to find fields to hunt on, I personally hunt on my uncles farm. I just got back from a hunt, and boy is it cold out!
I bet it was!
I loved this one it was longer, it's what I've been asking for, but you sped it up and that's cheating, lol, I really did enjoy it
Next time I go I'll make a 40 minute one
Whaaaaaattt!!! A treasure
lol yeahh
Yo I didn't know you went to Arizona and mine for Fire Agates. I have one, a lucky one lol. I'm working on it right now I'm trying to get it down to the fire, make a pendant out of it. ❤️👑🌍🔥 Has to be my favorite in my collection out of everything.
I hope you got a bucket lol there are 2 geod mines that lost their claim where I live in AZ . You can also find fire agates. There is a place by cool springs across the road at the top of a Mesa there is big.bubnly pieces as big as your hand but you have to hike up hill 2 miles
That sounds awesome!
Hi ho Taylor, I've been where you are. It's more gathering than hunting. 😆
This is true!! I want to go "hunting" the next time I'm down there and find some really high quality pieces...by the way..could you send me an email?! I've been meaning to touch base with you :)
Great finds bro🍻its always cool to find rocks stuck in bigger agates,it would be funny to find an agate stuck in a agate 😆
I would 💩 if I found that lol
@@AgateDad one day I sappose just gotta keep hounding👍
I love fire agates.
Me too, can't wait to get back down there!
Hope you find some fire in those. Be careful grinding them. Real easy to lose the fire. I've hunted fire agate out of Oatman.
I was about to cry long trip not picking up the firey peices. Then here you go lots of pretty firey peices awesome.
Oh I forgot to tell you we also did desert rose on the other side of AZ.
Scratched up the new truck getting in there😔
Yeah the second spot was much, much better for the fiery pieces! So sorry to hear about your scratches! What is desert rose exactly?
@@AgateDad I don't know how to explain them. You'll have to look it up.
They may send you to the plant if you don't specify rock.
@@thepurplecraftshack3075 okay, I suppose I could google it
Load those buckets!
Haha I tried my best!
Love your videos! Did you just park off the shoulder of interstate 10? Hubs and I will be driving that way in January on the way to our winter home. It would be fun to stop and look around.
Not sure on the interstate # but yeah just on the shoulder
For proper cleaning you should consider acid bath. There are different acids you can use, depending on the strenght you need, the availability in your area, the safety issues (considering you have a young son), etc... There are several videos on UA-cam about acid baths and how to proceed with them. Cool video :)
Thanks for the good tip!! Yeah I usually let most sit in vinegar just because its a cleaner cleaning method, thanks so much!
I use my dremell to clean out the dirt around it and the dirt deep inside the bigger ones that have holes.
Nice! I kept saying "Pick up that one. No, that one!" Going to AZ this weekend to go rockhounding. =)
How'd it go?!?!?
@@AgateDad Fire Agates are literally laying on the ground at the Black Hills area! After driving all that way, I was too tired to dig for really good ones, but I was happy with what I found! I found beautiful agates at the Copper Canyon Trailhead in Camp Verde...had to fight the spider ants though! I'm combining rockhounding with van camping. Such an adventure!
Thats awesome!
Have you polished or carved any of your fire agates? They are so amazing when you can look through the clear brown agate to see the structures and amazing colors beneath.
If I had a nickel for every time you say pretty I have a heck of a lot of money 😂 I Love these rocks/crystals all really beautiful 👍🏻💕
If that really could happen I would say it a lot more for you :)
Are you finding fire agates at Saddle mountain near Tonopah AZ? Thanks! These are beautiful.
I'm happy for you, what a great day you had, God blessed your hard work, with some beautiful stone on this day.
He sure did!
I am enjoying your videos. So what do you do with all these finds? Display? Box them up? Make things? Tumble? Would like to see where they all end up.
Right now I store most, but I also cut some. I am working on a system to polish some finds and possibly get a tumbler someday 👍
Okay, I know this video was 3 years. BUT I’m just learning. Went rock hounding today in Arizona. I literally only picked up a bunch of pink quartz Smokey Quartz and just plain white quartz. Me think they were fire agates. 🤣 I believe I need to go unfollow a few due to false information. And Geesh it was hot today. Love, love your account/channel whatever UA-cam calls it? Thank for such good content.
Use a dental water pick works good and gives you good water control in cleaning. Think of it as a mini water pressure washer.
Just found this, 4 years later! Are you in Arizona? Ok, just looked at your home page and I'm assuming Michigan. Anyway, have watched a few of your vids and they are good, thanks.
Great vid as always! Next time you are out hunting at Saddle Mountain try hitting the Westside. Takes a bit of hiking but its worth it
Might have to!! Would love to see some GPS coordinates on where your talking..
@@AgateDad Ill send you a DM on Insta!
Hi Can I join in? I’d love to know where too, I’m going back in May for another hunt. Would appreciate any leads. Thanks so much. 🙏🏼
@@maiguapa8 Sure! Do u have a way I can send you some locations?
First of all, I love your accent. You sound like you're from the mid-northern states.
I was out there this spring on the west side of the mountain & spotted some beautiful color on the ground.
When I went to pick it up I realized it was bigger than what was peeking out.
By the time I was done digging I had pulled out the most beautiful bowling ball sized chunk riddled with fire agates I'd ever seen. It's my prized posession.
I can't wait to go back.
The closer I got to the mountain away from the road the greater the find.
My biggest success was at the base of the mountain.
I had as much fun finding clear quartz crystal as I did the fire agates.
Watching your video gave me the bug. Thank you!
I’m watching this again and I know it’s been a few years, but have you polished any of the fire agates that you found
I think you're the only person who literally found a ton of rocks on his vacation.
And blessed that that's how the adventure went! I can't lie, I had help and did a ton of research of location and studied gps maps until my eyes went crossed! 🙈
I'm curious😊???
What do you do w/all these amazingly beautiful fire agates???? Please respond. Ty
Those agates are so butiful. I love the places were you just need to pick them up. Do you maby have the coordinates of that place, or the name of the road it is at? So I can visit that place when I am in the USA.
Not for this spot but I can point you in the right direction, email me when you ever get here and I can give you some leads to other spots
When you're in an area like this, one with sooo many amazing stones, how do you decide which ones to keep and when you're done? In places with fewer specimens, it's hard not to search every inch in fear of missing something. But when you're in an area with this many options, what do you do? Do you grab everything that catches your eye and before you leave look through your stash? Do you toss some back out?
For this hunt...i kept everything haha next time i go back i will be more picky!
So true...it's not a matter of hoarding rather, it's just a heartfelt desire to not leave any behind all alone...same reason I would have such a difficult time at an animal shelter. I couldn't just adopt one and leave...
I hope to get out there myself
I wish you good luck! It was a fun time!
Awesome dude I was some other persons vids about this site . Then I pulled rank lol my sister n husband live in az and they moved there because of the gem show there huge in the mineral crystal etc game . So I left her a message and said I would buy some of there raw agates so we’ll see what happens . Ps the white ones are the most common out there
Hey I have a piece and not sure if it’s an agate I’m leaving my email bigeddie88@yahoo.com hit me and I’ll send you a few pics etc I’m curious on what you think . Thanks again Ed
Feel free to shoot me an email at agatedad@gmail.com if you still have the pics 🤘
Agate Dad ok cool thank you so much I will just found some more so I’ll get them cleaned send you pics of the best ones .Thanks again
Can't wait!
Ooo, so juicy! Would love to find some of those! Will you be polishing any of them? xx
I would love to polish some! Might not be for a while until I get my whole batch back though.
Based on the odd shape of these agates, what to you do with them? Can you do a video on finished pieces?
Fire agates are so fantastic, even when there's no 'fire' in a piece the bands make up for it. I've just found it exists on a few lapidary channels and man what skill to polish them back, your gonna have a blast with these beauties. Good on you for branching out and doing the background work to get these, it definitely paid off. Super cool video Taylor, thanks mate 👍🏼
They really are, I hope to go back to do more intense rockhounding in the future! Just no idea when!
@@AgateDad absolutely, they're just causally sprinkled on the side of the road. Mind blowing place.

You break any of those brownish rocks with a surface with little holes? Maybe in the interior were agates.
I didn't, next time!
Think I would put them all into a tumbler with coarse grit for a week. Then look at them again, and high grade. Finishing the best ones by hand, on an arbor.
I think your best bet for cleaning these is oxalic acid. A lot of people just buy toilet bowl cleaner cuz that's basically what it is. But if you don't want to try that I would definitely give it a citric acid bath. May have to still clean out the crevices with a small tool but I think it'll do the job well. Since you don't like bleach haha😉😄
I was actually going to try that stanky stuff because my vinegar was being too tender with it hahaha!
Here's a sneak peek for my future video after I've cleaned all my finds: I have arthritis, 1/2inch thick glasses, and am completely grayed out with a 2 foot beard....🧓🏻 "hey folks..I've finally cleaned all my fire agates from the early 20s"
