How refreshing to see that even in the 70s teachers were not valued at all, since only 5 people out of 100 thought teachers did an important job in the community.

If Dawson's Feud ran in CBS back in the 70's and 80's along with TPIR let's just say CBS would have really been unstoppable. But Dawson didn't do Feud in CBS until 1994.

Yeeeah. I used to think the feminist movement is pretty dumb, but when you see stuff like this you have to admit they've achieved a lot in the last 50 years. Richard Dawson kissing a 19-year-old and then saying "Wow I suddenly love this family a lot more" when she reveals her age. On public TV! Yikes. Not blaming the guy of course, product of his time etc.
You won't see this nowadays on the account of how times have changed and kissing isn't a "well-rounded" form of luck or greeting between strangers. It has its old-fashioned value charm.
What happened to girls with long flowing hair? You just don't see that anymore. I loved it! Remember when the biggest phantasy was seeing it spread across a pillow?
Update your video title to "Family Feud 1977 - Mitchell vs. Perkins" if you will please, since you have more than one nighttime Feud episode from that calendar year.
What no one ever talks about is Richard was far from the only host that kissed contestants. It was fairly common back then, people didn't worry about it like they would now. Also, all the women that he kissed had been asked before the show if they were OK with it and most of them were. Those that weren't, he didn't kiss.
@theartofcompetition5965 That's what happens when one reads and listens to interviews with people. Besides, there was definitely one episode where a family of ladies came on and Richard even said that because of their beliefs (I think it was) that he wasn't going to kiss them.

+Jason Unsell It's just you. Let me explain. If mainstream cable/satellite television, TV ads, mainstream magazines and their ads & the rest of the media said "gangsta" culture (invented by Jewish record label owners) was dorky, just like they do when it comes to white people and our culture, you'd think the same thing about "black" gangsta culture because basically you can't think for yourself and produce your own valid independent opinions. You are incapable of forming your own world-views and personality based from real life experiences. You let TV and Hollywood do all of that for you. So yes. It's just you. =)
