This guy is a gem for the UFC . Great breakdown.
Yep, his really good! Entertaining breakdown.
Over and Over again
Not really. Hes stating the obvious and a lot of the stuff he points out is not significant at all.
There is a lot that he missed but il guessing because its tome consuming lol
@@khairt1731 hes the best pfp fighter with Jon jones.
Alex is quite literally a Soulslike boss if you think about it. Izzy can dodge, outmaneuver, try to whittle at Alex for 25 minutes and all it takes is just one or two mistakes and he gets finished.
Damn, Izzy just can't get past 2nd phase Alex Pereira? lol
@@AirLancer That's exactly how I see it. Some kind of Elden Ring boss shit.
Dude nice!
@@AirLancer He really does get stronger as the fight goes on. I think he deliberately conserves his energy until later in the fight. It makes sense for his style because he's durable and he has power so as long as he doesn't gas he's at an advantage on the feet, so he might as well just survive until the final round and then go all out.
baj in the wild flushE
This is the breakdown that we the viewers actually need! So thorough and crystal clear. Sayif Saud needs his own show.
pfft cut-out the leg check by Alex which lead to the KO.
The other guy is there to compliment, because this is clear a Sayif show.
This is his show! 😂 I just tee him up
They didn’t talk about leg checks which was critical factor for both of Israel Adesanya UFC losses.
@Brendan Fitzgerald good job thanks for letting the man cook
Adesanya makes the entire middleweight division look short and alex is even bigger than that. Crazy shit
Gastelum almost killed him, Romero amlost killed him, DC would kill him and he is 5'10, height does not matter.
Does anyone else want to slap Brendan around.?
Weight bully, plus the shortest man in that division was the one that put him in most trouble, until pereira ofc 👌🏻
@@BrunoCasas.M if izzy is a weight bully what the fuck is alex? Also Izzy doesn't weigh that much hes just very tall, he came into his fight with Jan under the 205 limit.
Izzy fights close to his real weight. Alex drops 35pounds to fight. Alex is really a Lightheavy weight.
Even if he beats Izzy again, he cant keep dropping 30-40pounds each fight, he will move up.
@@AQGOAT24 don’t matter, he’s still taller than everyone else. Finally gets a taste of his own medicine
i cant believe this guy managed to just nod for 45 minutes. truly more impressive than the fight between izzy and alex
Because Sayif was dropping knowledge

Nodding to hide his chin, he doesn't want to get KO'd too
@@alexyo2440 how about he KO your chin with his nodding chin, then fart in your mouth when you're out cold
@@alexyo2440 legendary comment
A lot of Pereiras checks go unnoticed and looks like he’s getting hit but he’s actually rotating his knee towards the kicks, this takes impact off of the lower leg by moving with the kick but also increases the chance of hurting the kicker if they land on the knee area.
Exactly nobody talks about all the stuff Alex is doing just meat ride Izzy

This guy missed all minor efforts Alex did throughout the fight just to praise Adesanya in every little detail.
Izzy could lose to Alex like 5 more times and they’ll still jerk izzy
@@aeep1999 your boy had like 3 highlights in a fight he won, come on. he prob has Izzy's number but he's not the better fighter at all & all the experts know this
Totally agree. Who watches this breakdown thinks Adesanya was dominating the fight, which definitely was not the case. He was winning, not dominating
@@ImJusWatching ok buddy 🤓
@@aeep1999you don’t think you’re jerking Alex? 😆 no one’s truly objective
Pereira generate so much torque from his hips. He barely needs to turn his hips to generate power for his hook
That's some ancient Mayan power or something. First couple rounds was kinda boring tbh. Just 80 leg kicks or whatever. Started getting good after that.
@@Wade-1 you arent a true fan then, the way Pereira was hitting izzy legs was a thing of beauty. he does it so quick and unpredictable
its his stance, he almost faces you dead straight when in upright.
Nah dude is just completely oversized for the division. He ain’t doing that to no 205lbers. And I don’t want it to sound like hate but pereira is the size of jon jones the current HW champ but is fighting at 185. You really think jon would ever get hurt by Izzy’s power? Hell nah bro, we seen pereira get hurt multiple times by izzy. At the end of the day alex is just significantly bigger than him.
I notice he has a big ass too. Despite being a pretty lean guy. Do you think that could have anthing to do with it?
Hell of a breakdown. I don’t think people realize how hard it is to talk for 45 mins straight without messing up once. He never even misspoke once

Yea true his checks really messed Izzy up. I'm surprise at how quick Alex reflexes are

Pereira's striking seems natural. He doesn't try to conform with a tight guard. He just let them fly of his shoulders. Pretty incredible when you see it in slow motion. It's like his arm is a mace with his big fist at the end of it.
@@Sumcant youre a lil kid that doesnt know shit about mma "😂😂😂"
Yeah man
You really didn't talk about how izzy wasn't able to check any of Poatan's low kicks which ultimately decided the fight. You can even see Adesanya taking the weight off the leg when he goes to the corner.
And if you only see this video would make it seem that Alex only threw 5 punches that connected, when in reality this is the stat:
Adesanya had 53% of sig. Strikes while Alex had 57%.
Also Alex took the second fight with 1 week while his rib was healing
meat rider lol
Good point
This dude is a gynobender fan boy
Alex was also checking a lot of kicks something Izzy hadn’t had to deal with in a while

Better than that one British bloke
Facts. I do miss Dan hardy's breakdowns tho

19:20 izzy illegally punch Alex after the bell, that shouldn't count.
@@the_batmobile0.4 Started the punch right before the bell rang. Not illegal
Honestly, that was the perfect stoppage. There was no evidence that Pereira was gonna miss his next couple punches. It could’ve been brutal.
Absolutely, in hindsight I'm sure izzy understands Goddard was just trying to protect him, and is probably thankful for not taking extra damage, even if he may not admit it
100% agree. If Alex would have loaded a punch and hit Izzy with everything he had It could have derailed his entire career.
The ref did his job and protected the fighter
We have seen people recover after getting dizzy but in this case izzy has 0 foot movement and had his back on the cage ... And he also was looking to the floor. So really unlikely to be able to recover
I was hoping the ref would let Alex take a couple years off his life. Alex should've let his head bounce off the canvas
Correct! Alex would off flatlined him with following shots but i hope they let it play out this time so we can see it without controversy
the izzy meatriding is unbelievable
Love watching this dudes breakdown every new ufc big fights. But man, this breakdown was blatantly bias towards izzy wtf
Wym. The Alex meat riding is astonishing. He didn't fight Whittaker he didn't fight like half the people you need a fight before getting a chance at a title. For all we know any other person would finish the job after wobbling him in the first round. Literally. Sure he can beat Izzy after loosing every round. But what if this man Alex lost to someone else before getting to Izzy. Than he wouldn't the squat shi.

They bias asf
This analyst a izzy fangirl clearly, Alex did a phenomenal job. 3 and 0
I agree he is all about Izzy. Alex will get the job done again!
Sayif Saud is so damn good. I've not seen this level of pattern recognition in most other breakdowns. Damn.
Dan hardy did a decent job but I like this guy better
He and Dan Hardy are the best.
he seems to be biased on izzy tho
It's a nice breakdown, Sayif. I wonder what the meaning of the Sayif is ..
@@leviwicks3600 I noticed that too, very unfortunate considering the quality of this analysis
This is a good breakdown overall but very biased towards Izzy, imo. No mention of Pereira’s checking the leg kicks for example.
No doubt! I mean, it's certainly far from what you see from most of the mainstream mma commentariat or people like Bisping, but still definitely slanted focusing on some of Izzy's brilliant skill and technique while ignoring/underselling A;ex's equally as brilliant skill and technique. At the end of the day, even though this was way better than average, it's analyses like these that leads to 90% of mma viewers/fans to arrive to the conclusion that Izzy is by far the technically superior striker with Alex just having ridiculous ko power and not much else. He also straight up misrepresented the way that first round went, that round probably was going to go to Alex if it was for those last two shots from Izzy, and certainly wasn't a round where Izzy just outclassed him the whole way through - in the way this guy would have you believe. I also love this whole narrative that Izzy somehow dominated the grappling, i mean - Alex literally did way more damage and was all around way more effective in the clinch than Izzy was, and more importantly he was 1 for 1 on his take-down attempts, whereas Izzy had all 8 of his TD attempts stuffed minus one, that was actually first initiated by Alex attempting a poorly executed trip that Izzy reversed in mid-air. Granted, Alex definitely didn't look good on the ground after that, but if it wasn't for that one mistake on his part, based on how well he shut down every single other td attempt by Izzy - i don't think he woulda ended up getting on the bottom a single time for the whole fight. Which also is why that 3rd round coulda looked completely different and therefore woulda changed the course of the rest of the fight. At the end of the day, whether it was the td in the 3rd, or hanging in the pocket waaaaay too long allowing Izzy to rock him right at the bell, the points where Alex was damaged the most, though Izzy made the most of them, they had more to do with mistakes on his part than they did Ozzy's skill. Alex made all the big mistakes in that fight and still ended up winning
7:39 I like how there’s controversies with the standing eight count even though that’s allowed in kickboxing
Ikr that’s like letting Usman rest after a fake nut shot
Doesn’t make any sense 🤷♂️
It’s controversial because standing 8 counts shouldn’t exist
@@teddystriker it’s their sport. It’s controversial cuz izzy got knocked and that standing right count helped.
If it’s any other person that’s suffer from that standing eight no one would care. Since the gynobender, gender bender suffered cuz of it “oh it’s controversial”
@@teddystriker why should you be the one who decides the rules?
@@leviwicks3600 Im not saying I should but it would make the sport better without the ref interfering, more action, knockdowns and potential knockouts, I mean don’t you wanna see that too?
Ngl, it does kinda suck that you guys didn’t address Alex checking most of Izzy’s leg kicks. He had him on sig. strikes & even the commentary team wasn’t addressing it that night.
Wouldn’t most of his significant stroke come from the knees and body hooks in the clinch?
@@butterflymage5623 which they also claimed Izzy got the better
@@Don-xr9cw as far as control he did. Alex definitely made him pay for that control though. But it did have the effect Izzy wanted. Which was to tire him out by round 4. Alex is just a monster that doesn’t stop.

@@MrElpajita Calm down, lady.
There's one analysis error in this, poatan checks almost all izzy kicks, and izzy didn't check poatan kicks, that counts a lot on damage accumulation
Underrated kicks for sure
Idk poatan said Izzy checked some of his kick
Izzy's stance is too wide, leaves his legs exposed to every type of low kick... he can't check because will mess with his balance... Alex posture is the main advantage on this match imo
Correct. That's why his leg gave out in the fifth
Regardless of the outcome of this. I will always appreciate what Izzy brings to MMA. His intro & run to the belt was so entertaining. He should utilize THAT fluid movement he had. Instead of this stiff sideways shuffle that lost all his fluid footwork. His best way to beat Alex is BEING MOBILE. Diverseness. Shiftiness. Lastly, in worst case scenario moment's Izzy has got to take away from the last fight that he's got to find new ways to get himself out of dangerous moments, how to be defensive and try your best to not let Alex get a easy finish just because defenses and mobility went out the window... Regardless win or lose I will tune into every Izzy fight because I really appreciate all the unique things he's brought to the UFC.
I always see him as the frontrunner of that striking style you see are beginning to dhow more and more in MMA. The switching stances and ability to fight comfortably from both stances.
The reason why his footwork changed is washer is to help address takedowns.
Think of all the wrestlers he’s fought.
Everyone forgets Alex took that fight against Izzy on only 10 days notice. This time he gets a full camp.
This analysis is just fantastic, great job guys 👏🏻
A great fight!... And, I gotta say this analysis is just excellent. So insightful and articulate, and adds to the appreciation of these great fighter's skill and attributes.

Coach Sayif is such a great addition to these videos!
I am still at minute 14, to now seems like a promo for how good Izzy is!! Cmon guys, Alex is the Champ!
Yeah, it was an Israel make out session and yet the record is 0 and 3.
Na Izzy is the champ🤷🏽♂️😂💯
Nahh.. alex got no belt.. deep sleep on the canvas.. he got lucky 3 times
Now you understand why.
What i noticed from Pereira is he's not trying to land the kick, He knew that izzy will throw a kick after his kick so the next thing that he will do is to check all izzy's kick. That's why izzy foot was so messed up on that round 5, it pays off.
this analysis was so biased towards izzy overall, that round 2 breakdown was lackluster and this dude doesn't realize how Alex is fainting his punches with his shoulders at the start of the finishing sequence, 3/10

That phone booth left hook at @42:51 is nastyyyy!!! How he generate that much power standing straight up is mind blowing
Torso rotation. I trained fighting on and off for a lot of my life and I never understood left hooks until I realized all of the power comes from the torso rotation.
Once you understand how to implement it you can generate power from less than a foot.
I take my hat off to the invaluable contributions of Middle-east dudes in MMA particularly with Mojahed Fudailat's witty animations and Sayif Saud's critical analysis.

Amazing analysis from Sayif 👏👏👏
this was such a pro-Izzy analysis haha you'd think he actually won a fight against Alex. Crazy!
Great breakdown the only thing missing is the turning point of the fight when Izzy hurt his legs on a low kick checked by perreira in the 5th round. Izzy could barely move after that, wich led to the TKO.
Great and detailed analysis of the fight. I like the dedication and competence.
The fact he never mentioned how the bigger fighter is so much more impressive up close is just crazy, seemed like a Izzy breakdown and how good he is in a fight he lost. Weird.
Izzy is a goat. Took those shot and still not going down to sleep . Shows he’s very powerful
Some kicks are checked u should not count as kick....
The 4th round Alex said he is just resting, and the strategy was to rest , so the flawless of Adesanya in 4th were a trap well set by Alex.
I feel like that’s valid because the way he fought in the fifth was way more aggressive and forward than the other 4 rounds.
This is a masterclass in striking on both sides
These and the embedded vlog series are probably my favorite the content the ufc youtube channel puts out

The glazing for Izzy is crazy😭
Alex's finishing sequence was in a phone booth and that was impressive for a long tall fighter
Izzy eats a shit ton of calf kicks, received almost double hits on legs and body than he throws, didn't see any breakdown on that, seems we have a Izzy fan here.
He won the majority of the rounds..
Your breakdown never disapointed. The best ufc breakdownee
Alex honestly throws from so low and wide its safe to say Izzy holding guard with a palm down orientation could arguably thwart those "under-hooks" if not make them a non factor
I’m so tired of Izzy can make guys react nonsense, Izzy reacts when people swing or feint at him to, what do these guys think you should do stay still and wait to get hit to tell if it’s real or a feint then be in bad position
Lol yeah the guy expect Izzy to feint and Alex stand still 😂
Bruh most of Izzy’s leg kicks were checked. Why do all the “experts” miss this?
Because it didn't really end up affecting the fight in Alex's favor. I guess Izzy just has really well conditioned shins.
With that being said you are correct about how well Alex checked Izzy's kicks. If he didn't have that ability he probably wouldn't have made it out of the third fight.
Its not a check its a reaction to avoid the kick. Check is intentional. Are you blind
One of the best fight break down I've seen!!
Poatan is not the same fighter he was in 2016, he became 2 weight champ and levelled up. Poatan inside 3
Izzy better hope Alex doesn’t get that much better from their last fight or it will be a easy night for Alex … he knows he can KO Izzy if he walks him down and pressures the fight , he just has to learn to not let Izzy grab his hangs and clinch him on the cage
