The scp foundation are the good guys. They do some crappy stuff, but without them humanity wouldn’t exist.
"Good" is subjective in the SCP verse.
They could have some middle ground but SCP seems like the best out of the other groups. GOC destroys harmless SCPS and make others worse by fucking with them, Serpent Hand hippies would want shit like 096 and 035 just wandering around the whole damn place, Chaos Insurgents want to rule the world by the looks of it, and MC&D will do anything with the anomalous for a quick buck.
The best scenario would be freeing the safer sentient SCPS and making use of the beneficial SCPS for the good of the world while still keeping the bad shit safe, but in order to keep "normalcy" the SCP foundation keeps the world static. "Normalcy" ain't worth it when they got an infinite water source contained along with infinite pizza and other useful crap like that, Foundation is the best group but they're fucked in that aspect.

The SH are, for the most part, perfectly aware of the danger the more harmful anomalies and believe they should be contained or even destroyed. However, they wish to bring awareness to SCPs and free and protect harmless SCPs as well (like 999 or 131). In fact, they're arguably the most moral of all the SCP GoIs.
Honestly I align most with the Serpent's Hand. The SCP foundation does great in protecting humanity, but what if humanity all knew about what they were being protected against so everyone can (1, be ready for a possible KX end of the world event) and (2, share in the unique data generated to further science). Wouldn't that be neat?

chaos in Chinese is 混沌, which is pronounced and written very similar to馄饨(wonton), which is basically smaller dumplings in soup(they taste great btw). As a result, someone created a joke GOI called the wonton insurgency, which supposedly consists of people that separated from the SCP foundation because they refuse to agree that dumplings=wontons and helped create the chaos insurgency.

Just some feedback.
The Chaos Insurgency is my favorite G.O.I (Group Of Interest). The one thing that most people consider canon is that they are foundation defectors starting from anywhere between 1924-1948.
There is no canonical timeline in the scp universe. You can choose to believe whatever you want to be canon. An example is I choose to believe that SCP-184 is the true SCP-001. I choose to believe that the O5’s are under the command of a figure known as “The Administrator”. And I choose to believe that there is no “The Engine”.
Once again, you can choose what you want to be your canon when thinking about the scp universe.
Just some advice towards people who are new to scp.

I like the idea that the Chaos Insurgency was brought about by an alternate earth.
A Realm were the Anomalous is common knowledge, and their version of the SCP is in command of the world.
The Chaos Insurgency (or C.I.) is a major rival organization of the SCP Foundation and was implied to be the main catalyst and overarching antagonists of SCP - Containment Breach. The Chaos Insurgency was formed by former agents from the SCP Foundation who defected from the organization and attempted to destroy it. The Chaos Insurgency has access to a more limited amount of SCPs than the Foundation but is more willing to use them without restriction. This organization consists of about 16 main members.
In SCP - Containment Breach, it was implied that Dr. Maynard, one SCP Foundation doctor, was actually a mole for the Insurgency.
So some CI troopers we're undercover operatives working for the Foundation.
Agent Skinner too, he started the containment breach by breaching SCP-106 first. Then while the site is busy dealing with 106 Agent Skinner says on the computer "It's out.", referring to 106, then Dr. Maynard replies with "Proceeding.", Dr. Maynard then goes to SCP-079, gave him full control of the facility, and the rest is history.
