I disagree. If you say Canggu and tourists area then yes, but more local place then it's cheap. You can even eat for 1.5 dollars in Bali if you eat in Warung or even take way in local food merchant.

Agreed - I was just in Koh Phangan and I feel like this is what he is comparing to Bali...it's not comparable at all. Thailand is a huge country with many different budgets. Chiang Mai is much cheaper than Bali with a relatively modern infrastructure, working grab apps and tons of western options. Bangkok, I would also say is comparable with Bali in terms of price despite being in a major hub.
If bang for your buck is your main concern, Thailand wins easily..

Nice overview! A more accurate comparison would be Bali vs Phuket, in Phuket you have as good delivery as Bali for all kind of food, western food might be a bit more expensive but you have amazing food both western and local. Doing bali vs mostly koh phangan is a bit unfair but I get your point. If you look at for example Chiang mai, that would win most of the categories but there you miss the beach and ocean tho. Thanks for a good overview! Coming back to KP in a few months looking forward to it!

Nice video and imagery. A word of caution in that pricing here is very general and depends on what level of accommodation and transport you are looking for, as well as the length of rental. Thailand is a large country with many options, whether it's islands like Phuket, Samui, Phangan or mainland like Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Hua Hin- these will all have a wide range of prices. Same with Bali- Amed, Sanur, Canggu, Bingin all have very different profiles. But still somewhat informative content.

Cities in Vietnam like Da Nang, Hoi An, Ninh Binh will be the next favorite digital nomad's destinations. Your prices are way off for Thailand. The prices you list for Thailand are only relevant for Bangkok or Phuket. Everywhere else is way cheaper. Bali is also not a major city like Bangkok so it would be more relevant to compare Bangkok with Jakarta prices. If you look at somewhere like Krabi (which is actually similar to Bali), you will find the prices in Thailand are well below anything in Bali even in high season.
